I guess the final results for the bags won't be for a few years, but looking at, and feeling the bags, I believe they will work. The bags are made with a type of technology that is safe, non toxic, non-abrasive, and environmentally friendly. The plastic is thicker than a regular zip lock bag, they feel like they could last several years. The kit includes five 4” x 6” bags, five 6” x 6” bags and 20 1” x 1” tabs. The tabs are used for marking containers in a storage environment. The tabs are suppose to last a year in a storage element including moisture. The tabs are a good addition to the kit, even though I will not be using them right now, I am glad to have them for future use. I wanted these bags to use for a set of sterling silver flatware that I do not use very often. Every time I have to get this flatware out for an event or holiday, it is torture to clean, and polish. The largest bags in the kit (4" x 6" bags), are too small for the dinner knives in my set. The kit does state for use with flatware, but my knives are too large. I am still going to use the bags for my forks and spoons, but I wish the bags were larger to fit the whole set. I hoped I would be able to order larger bags, so I could put the complete set of flatware in the bags. I went online and checked the Shine company website, and it doesn't look like they sale a kit with larger bags. The only reason I am giving this kit 4 stars instead of 5, is due to the size of the bags.
