I had the opportunity to check this jewelry armoire out at a demo event last week and I absolutely loved it! I am writing this review as part of a contest, but it reflects my honest opinion about how well this piece of furniture solves the problem of keeping all your jewelry organized and accessible in a way that adds to the aesthetic of your room. The first thing to jump out at you is the color of the wood. The walnut finish emanates warmth throughout a space in a way that would add just as much to a traditionally styled room as it would to a modern one. Both sides swing out to reveal tangle-free necklace panels, and there are 7 pull-out drawers topped by a traditional jewelry box and sturdy hinge-swing mirror. All are lined with a felt that is supposedly engineered to have properties that ward off tarnish. If nothing else, that provides me with a little peace of mind. Silver is my absolute favorite, so this is always somewhat top of mind when I’m considering storage. The whole thing towers over three feet tall, which is the right size to never have to worry about where to store all your necklaces, bracelets, earrings and regular rings again! I could seriously double my collection and still find a place for it all in this armoire. It can also double as a nightstand if you have a particularly lofty bed. Every last detail seems to be straight out of a fairytale, down to the old-fashioned key on a tassel. The best part is it actually works, and I can lock my watches up when I leave the house for more than the day. When the armoire arrived, you could tell it had been hand-wrapped, packaged tightly but with plenty of extra protection. This thing could’ve survived a fall off the back of the delivery truck (that didn’t happen; it arrived safe and sound!). The crisp white finish makes it easy to pair with other furniture and patterns which is great because I can seamlessly add this new armoire to my exisiting room decoration. I personally have a lot of white and sandy wood furniture with pastel pinks and gold decorative accents (a glam and elegant room), and the aesthetic of this armoire fits perfectly with everything. It is the perfect size, not too big or small, and it is absolutely adorable. It has 7 drawers as well as a mirrored, locking compartment on top. The locking compartment is divided into four compartments, one specifically built with ring rolls to hold rings (see picture I attached). I really love the inside of the drawers as well, they are lined with anti-tarnish felt which prevents my expensive jewelry from getting scratched, preserves their condition, and keeps them from rolling around in the drawers. My jewelry armoire arrived in excellent condition with no damage. I was relieved to find the only assembly is to attach the legs and top piece with mirror on the inside. I am a female in my early 30's and had it assembled in less than 30 minutes. The wood finish matches our bedroom furniture perfectly. I worried as soon as I saw that the manufacturer included a form in the box to order replacements for broken and/or defective pieces of the item. Sure enough, one of the drawers was severely cracked. I sent my form in right away and was told a replacement drawer would be sent to me. It took several days and then when it arrived, it's larger than the original drawer and won't fit in the armoire. When I contacted the manufacturer again, they said I'd have to bring it back for an exchange. I don't feel confident that a replacement item would be in any better condition and I'm afraid it could be worse. My husband used some wood glue to repair the drawer as best as he could, so we'll see how long it lasts.Disappointed customer

I am very pleased with my jewelry armoire. It was well packed and sealed. The economy delivery by Fedex arrived several days before projected date and was in perfect condition. The tracking information was very helpful to know actual day delivery would be made. The holding capacity is large. The bottom drawers are not divided which would make a nice storage for scarves or boxed jewelry. I especially like the drawer peg stops to keep accidents from happening, like spilling contents if pulled out too fast. The side panels will hold several necklaces on one hook and the rope loop keeps items from getting caught in the doors. I wear clip on ear rings and some can be clipped on the dividers to provide more space as the drawers are deep enough to make this possible. Top section can be locked wiith a key. Visually it’s a great looking mirror/jewelry stand. But i’ve had this for months now and it just constantly smells like chemicals. At first i thought it smelled like artificial BBQ sauce? (weird, i know). I thought it was just the fabric or fabric glue. But it wont go away. It took until tonight for me to finally look up what this smell was. Sure enough, it’s because unsealed MDF was used. The inside of this thing has such a potent smell. It’s really bad. They didn’t seal the MdF inside, and just covered it with fabric. i’m smelling the formaldehyde glue off-gassing from the unsealed MDF. Which virtually will never go away. Explains why i’ve been waking up every morning with headaches and unable to breathe well for the last couple of months. I feel foolish for not putting two two together. And I really wish that i had figured this out on the first day before throwing away the box. $100 down the drain. Target should not be selling this.Dee
I read reviews about how this product smells, and I took the chances and even aired it outside in the sun for a full day. I brought it back in and it still stank so much, it carry’s such a strong chemical smell, not good for my allergies or psoriasis. Super disappointed in the manufacturing materials of this product, overall great build but absolute terrible choice of wood and no safety considerations were taken in sealing the wood. Don’t get mistaken if getting used to the smell, I don’t think it’s good for you, and if you can’t smell it, someone else in your home will definitely smell it. I love my jewelry chest! I ordered it, and it even arrived ahead of the scheduled date. This little black jewelry armoire is the perfect height and was very easy to assemble. All I had to do was screw on the legs and 3 little screws for the lid. It was packaged very well, and not one piece was missing or damaged. The lining in the drawers are quality, and plenty of separated areas for my watches, bracelets, and longer necklaces. If I could add one thing, it would be to utilize the empty space inside the side-door compartment for more necklaces, or put little holders inside for other jewelry pieces.
