I was given this bottle(64oz graphite) in hopes of being able to stay hydrated and have cold water with me all the time. This bottle was absolutely AMAZING! I was never much of a water drinker but once I got this bottle, filled it about half full of ice, dropped a lemonade flavoring packet in it, I was hooked. The bottle went EVERYWHERE with me, my kid decorated the outside with a few stickers, and I felt almost a sentimental connection to it. Never sweat, ice stayed as ice for a LONG time, and it never leaked or let me down. Sadly, someone apparently loved it more than I did and they stole it from me while at the drag races with my kids this last weekend. I'm hoping to be buying another one soon.Michael F.
This cup is incredibly cute and the perfect size. The body of the simple modern water bottles insulates well and has a solid build that feels good in the hand. The coating seems very sturdy and left in a hot car in the Texas summer I often can come back to ice after a few hours. The drawback to this is that it takes the ice a long time to melt. That is where the good ends. I use this primarily for water because when I first got it any cold/hot beverages would explode from the top when the sipping arm was raised. This baffled me so at some point I just kept the arm raised between sips to avoid the explosion when I could. Fast forward a few months and no more explosive water but the lid now leaks like crazy. I discovered an x shaped space in the sipping arm groove that is the culprit. It seems the alternating problems of exploding and leaking probably revolve around some now missing piece of the lid that’s function was to release built up pressure from the interior of the bottle. Wish the company would work on this issue. Avoid this and spend the extra bucks for a Zojuroshi or equivalent cup maker for a better experience.Simple modern
I have 5 year old 32oz Summit bottle from Simple Modern that I love but is scratched and dented. It works great: so I wanted an upgrade so I bought another one for a golf trip and it felt different and much lighter. So I did a test on my own: filled them both up with same amount and ice and water and put then on the floor next to my bed overnight while I slept. Temperature was 69 and pleasant in the house. The new bottle water was completely melted and my 5 year old bottle was still full of ice and water and cold as the night before. I was really disappointed in the new one since I was so excited only to find out it is obviously made with lesser quality material and poor performance as a result. I have dehydrated in the past and rushed to the local hospital so having a drinking container with me at all times is imperative. I love ice cold water and I drink about 6-10 of the 32 oz containers per day. This marble colored 320z Summit container is very poor quality. My kids try to talk me in to a Yeti or HydroFlask, but I said I love my current bottle, however I may need to switch companies now.Bob M.

I purchased two of these. One of them is great and I love it. The other one must have had an issue and there is mold growing by the handle. I understand defects happen, but I reached out to the manufacturer via their email system and they never responded. Terrible customer service. My other one still seems to be okay but obviously I am quite nervous to use it since my other one had the mold issue. Its hard to see in the photo but the mold is almost sandwiched between the handle grip and the plastic, so there is no way to clean it. Even running it through the dishwasher didnt work. Bummer!Sarah
I drink a ton of water all the time. I ordered this online unsure about it. After I got it I was so pleased with it. I love this water bottle. I haven't experienced any issues with leaking, although I will say I don't put it in the dishwasher, I handwash it only. I'm afraid the dishwasher might warp it. I got this as replacement under warranty terms from Yeti after my older narrow model (64Oz) purchased from REI failed in less than two years. While the older one worked fine until the day it stopped working, this new design is a different story. I use it primarily to drink warm water throughout the day everyday while at home. It has never been used outdoors. As many others have said, I have the same problem with leaking and difficulty in opening. My wife is unable to open it, and I have to use the handle as a lever and hold the jug between by arm and ribs to get it to open. Now this has become twice a day ritual. I am not sure why Yeti changed the design from the older narrow mouth to a really wide mouth. It creates a larger area for gasket to fail and more force is needed to get it closed tightly or open it. If the idea was get your hand inside the jug, then you would not need it to be that wide.Rana
I love the 1/2 gallon jug. I've had one since they first came out. I take it to work every day. I would give it 5 stars except for 2 things. First is the magnetic cap. While it is probably loved by many, for anybody (like me) that works in a welding shop it attracts grinding dust like crazy, it looks like it is growing hair! I would like a non magnetic cap available for purchase separately. The other is I had to add a O-ring to the cap so it wouldn't leak whenever it gets tipped over, which happens frequently when driving with it setting on the floorboards of my truck. It appears to be designed with a vent in the cap (maybe so hot stuff doesn't expand, create pressure and risk damaging the jug) I only use it for cold drinks so that's not a issue to me.LS11
First off we are fans of your products. You do great work. We have your mugs and huge cooler which is fantastic, but you have a dud. We often have family and friends who stay over and come down for breakfast. To show that we take this topic seriously we live in TN but fly our coffee in from Maryland. Historically we have to make pot after pot of coffee for family and friends at breakfast. We saw your gallon jug and we were jazzed because we saw a way we could make coffee for everyone. Good news our filter cone fits exactly on the gallon jug. The bad news is that even if I put boiling water in the Yeti before I filter coffee in—in a short while it is tepid. Great customer service. My bottle initially broke within a few days (started leaking from tiny crack in the bottom). I contacted the company and they sent me a new one right away that works great and has been for about a month. It's pretty and functional! The only reason I would dock a star is because some of these big water bottles have a flexible bottom part on the end of the straw that allows you to get every last drop, and this one does not so you end up with a couple ounces to be desired at the bottom.Colleen M.
I bought the 128 oz from Sam’s club. I am disappointed with this bottle. If you put ice in this bottle it seems to melt very quickly and condensates everywhere. I also noticed if the bottle has been sitting for about 30 mins or so, when I open it to take a sip, water will start pouring out from the straw. This jug has every feature you could need regarding a glass container used for hydration during both calm periods and moderately active periods. The handle is bent out of the way so that: you can drink one-handed and your forehead won't touch it when you drink through the 'sippy' straw/mouth on option. The sleeve is easily removed when the glass is dry or not covered in condensation thanks to the thoughtful hole in the bottom of the sleeve. The sleeve is easily placed back on by holding the top of the container with one hand and covering that thoughtful hole in the bottom of the sleeve most of the way with your other hand and pushing it up the container. The bottom of the sleeve is thicker than the rest for what I assume is more sturdiness, protection and weight balance when you set it down and it's less than full. The rubber ring inside of the lid is easily removed for cleaning by pulling its tab but it's just a tiny bit tougher to place it back (not difficult at all just a little stiffer) so that you feel secure in it staying and not losing its shape in the lid. I have not tested colored liquids or particularly scented liquids as I understand this is primarily if not totally for water. I have not tested hot liquids as it states not to specifically. I have not tested the condensation factor because I actually drink the water within a reasonable period of time after filling and I don't fill it more than I'm going to need when keeping future activities in mind. The Tundra color is beautiful. The sleeve is thin enough around the sides that it's protective but not heavy. One should not expect a super thick sleeve as it seems that the point here is to be protective enough, easy to remove/add for cleaning and not heavy or displeasing aesthetically. This hits the mark. If you don't want it to break, don't be rough, don't drop it, don't use hot liquids as it clearly states and don't take it to your workplace where there are concrete floors if you cannot hang onto it. It's fairly simple folks. You're buying glass because you either like the taste/tastelessness of it better, you like the aesthetics better, or you're trying to reduce waste and plastic use. You're not buying glass because it's safe when thrown or dropped. The only, and I repeat ONLY, issue with this is that mine leaks when on it's side or upside down when testing, from the mouth hole and tiny air hole that does not get plugged fully when the lid is closed. I do not plan to use it upside down and I do not plan to drop it on its side but when working out at a gym, even on soft mats, if someone else comes near and accidentally tips it or some such, I don't want to create a pool where someone might slip out have to interrupt my workout to clean it up. I want to love this bottle, but it feels like it was slightly faulty & could have been designed better. It leaks frequently if I don't get the lid on tight enough, but if it's too tight i can NEVER get it off. It's AWFUL when it gets stuck. I also wish there was a handle, it's super awkward to drink out of. Also it would have made more sense for the lid to be more like those of the plastic bottles; the straw doesn't make sense to me bc you can't actually sip it, you still have to tilt the bottle so I just removed mine. All in all, I love the size & the material is super super nice. It helps me get my water intake & I can put other supplements in it knowing its safe to drink bc I prefer glass over plastic, but definitely needs some troubleshooting and I suggest design improvements for the product (like having a handle of some sort or the straw.) :/Molly W.
I personally have a hard time drinking water. Maybe it's because of not having the right container size and tired of refilling it. The glass hydrojug allows me to drink a lot of water and still having enough water left over to drink again in a couple minutes without having to refill. As a breastfeeding mom, it helps so much because I personally don't have the time to keep refilling my water. Very clean tasting, super easy to clean and I FEEL WAY MORE HYDRATED FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME. Took it on a road trip and it's way better than having a bunch of water bottles half empty and not knowing who's water bottles who's. I just wish they were more clear on the accessories for it (the straw to be exact). You can't use the original straw for it, so don't buy it. But overall, nothing wrong with the product. I like that you don't have to tip the spout to drink it (because it's heavy) you just drink it like a straw. Who knew drinking 64 oz of water could be so easy? I wish I bought the hydrojug sooner. Purchased the bottle because I needed something large that would allow me to drink more throughout the day while working. I already owned a few other (metal) bottles from the brand that have held up pretty well besides a few dents and scratches from dropping. The bottle has been great so far, no leaks or mold issues as other reviewers mentioned, I simply hand wash with soap and water after each use and let it air dry. I like that there are two handles, one to hold while drinking (you can also decide which way to screw in the top depending if you prefer the handle on the left or right side) and the upper loop that makes carrying the bottle easy on my daily walks. Since it’s plastic, it won’t keep your drinks cold. I’m not sure about condensation as I’ve only used it with room temperature water, but I imagine it would condensate if you’re using ice. I did take it to the beach recently, and noticed the time markers and sizing on the bottle faded and is almost completely gone. I assume that’s my fault, as my hands were probably covered in some oily sunscreen. For me, it’s not a super big deal as I wasn’t “tracking” my water drinking and didn’t really like the font of the numbers anyway, but something to be aware of! I’ve also noticed with use, the metal pin holding the top handle on has started to slide out and I often need to ease it back in place. Also not a big deal for me but thought I’d mention. I bought one of these last year and I loved it! unfortunately I had lost it when I went on vacation and went back to target recently to purchase a new one I still love but I don't understand why the second one leaks! it's disappointing but it's so convenient for me I still use it. the first one didn't leak and had no flaws. it keeps you hydrated and it's easy to carry around it goes everywhere with me! it's easy to clean as well if you have one of those bottle cleaners with a stick on it and a sponge at the end. the only reason I'm giving quality a three is because the second purchase kind of leaks but i just put water in it so it won't make such a big messfrench fry
I love this water bottle. The markings in both time and volume are great and help me pace myself throughout the day. The handle folds so flat I owned the bottle for days before I realized it was there. The spout is wide enough to drink out of but narrow enough that if my kid tips over the bottle it doesn't spill too much and has a nice feature to lock the lid in place so it doesn't spill when in use. However, there is one major design flaw. The pin holding the lid in place has come out of two different bottles in the past two months. I'm now debating whether this flaw is acceptable given how well-designed the rest of the bottle is, or whether it's time to shop for a new brand.Taylor
