Such interesting , well drawn pages.I felt as though I was with the character climbing the tree, escaping from the confines of HER sad-feeling, empty home. I'm reminded of too many escapes from places/times like that. Coloring soothes me, takes me far away from the present and to another world where I can rest from my REAL life, hang my pain-sack on the book's tree limb and have an adventure . While I'm putting my colors inside the lines so creatively drawn by the REAL artist, I'm CREATING. This " coloring book" reminds me I TOO am an artist, creative and able to also escape. Johanna basford is a very common name when you mention coloring. She is an amazing artist and with each stroke from your pencil or pen, her illustrations come to life in a huge way. It's fun to search for the hidden items, or to color the page and search after. The pages are double sided, there are a few two-page spreads, and the pages are also serrated for easy removal. First off I REALLY wish you could view the pages inside so you know what kind of activities are in the book but since the item wasn't expensive I took a chance. This book is nice and there are some crossword puzzles, sudokus, some adult coloring pages etc. but there isn't a lot of variety and some of the activities are based upon uncommon knowledge. I wish the book was a little easier and had more common Christmas knowledge such as mainstream knowledge for example there's a whole crossword puzzle on Christmas book authors and trivia about dates things were invented or Christmas traditions started. Walmart , should have some of this memory type puzzles books at the store. This is a better book that includes memory puzzles which is a plus, according to me. I am going overseas for a trip in a couple of months and felt this would be perfect for my 10 or so hour plane ride each way. It almost is… I like the assortment of games. I'm familiar with word searches and Sudoku, and like how this breaks the games into levels by section. I am not very good at crosswords and even the easier ones look kind of difficult to me. But it has ANSWERS! Yes, it has a cheat sheet at the back of the book. So I never have to worry about being too stumped. Cryptograms is a new one for me, but it looks fun. I think this will really help cut the boredom out of the flight, which is great. The only issue is that this is like a real sized book. It's probably about a half inch thick, which is fine. But it is about the size of a normal sheet of paper. I wasn't sure how I wanted to do my luggage. I think I'm supposed to get one checked, one carry on and one personal item. I'm not sure if this will fit well in my personal item I'm supposed to have at my feet. This is certainly too big to fit in any of my small purses. But I'll have to figure it out. I have had a great time working in this puzzle book. The book offers six different types of puzzles. The puzzles come in three levels: easy, medium and hard. There is even a warm up section to familiarize yourself with the book. The book is large and I really like that. The print inside is also large. They didn't have the friends edition listed to review but thats the one I've used. Although I did get the couples edition with it. Not sure if illnusenthat one but the friends one is fun we just did our first adventure that was something different. I can't wait to see what the others are like. The mystery of it makes it exciting. I do wish these books were a little cheaper but it is fun and probably worth it since it will last awhile. The camera option is ridiculously expensive though considering that nothing is included with it. I didnt get that off the site but instead got basically the same instant camera on Amazon for probably 80$ cheaper and it included everything along with a neat travel case.sarah.l

I would like to start off by congratulating the artist on his stunning artwork. It is both realistic and surreal at the the same time. I've never seen such a detailed beautiful colour book. The book is large and there's plenty of stunning pictures to colour, not to mention the pages he leaves for you to finish off and doodle in yourself. The paper quality is very good, The only issue i have with this book is the binding itself. most of the pictures spread over two pages and its very difficult to colour towards the spine and almost impossible to remove the pages for framing etc. But regardless of this i highly recommend this colour book. If it wasn't for the binding issue i would of given it 5 stars. but this is no fault of the artist. I really hope he brings out more books in the future.ellieboo931
