I purchased this Fitbit luxe almost 3 months ago on QVC a TSV I wasn’t sure if I should keep it or not in the first place because the screen was so small, but I got used to it and started to really like it so I kept it! I had this almost 3 months now and I purchases on easy pay and Still have payments yet! well woke up this morning wore it to bed like I’ve been doing to track my sleep looked at it, the watch was flickering, the graphics were fading out, and now by the afternoon the graphics were all gone! blank screen that had colors in it and colored horizontal lines! I tried troubleshooting it as I went on “youtube” to find videos and how to troubleshoot your Fitbit luxe, did what I could was going to call “Fitbit”on the phone, but decided to call QVC customer service instead. I told her my situation, she said I can return it and get a refund or send me a replacement but decided No it was DEFECTIVE why would I want another one that could stop working be defective.I won’t pay out any more of the Easy Pay that’s left! so I hope I get a big refund in return! I tell you I was so disappointed in Fitbit will never purchase another one again because I saw reviews not on QVC only but reviews on Fitbit on other websites that have the same problem as I had! and this was a today’s special value back in June! just buyer beware and it was too expensive should’ve been a much better quality fitness watch for the price sorry QVC .Fitbit should be ashamed on the Fitbit luxe!allie47

This gets one star, purely out of obligation to give it a rating. I wanted a simple Fitness tracker to replace my Fitbit Versa 2, and this had everything I wanted. I can track my steps, sleep, and workouts. It notifies me of phone alerts like text messages and calls (meaning I can put my phone down without worrying about missing important messages). Does it have all the bells and whistles of a smart watch? No, but that's why I picked it. Unfortunately, this device barely functions. The first one I purchased had a battery drain issue. In 5 minutes, it would go from 20% battery to completely dead. Fitbit gave me a warranty replacement for it, but they sent the wrong color. It took three weeks for them to receive the returned item and then another week for me to get the replacement. The replacement has been nothing but trouble. No matter how high the battery is when it charges, there's always a risk of it dying when I charge it. The screen goes black and it is completely unresponsive. I try resetting it with the charging cable, plugging it into different USB ports, and even using different cables. While it eventually comes back to life, how long it takes and what finally gets it back is completely random. I am currently awaiting my third replacement Luxe, but only because that was best option from Fitbit. They also offered me a discounted rate on the Charge 5 (which has more negative reviews for similar reasons) and the Versa 2 (which I traded in to get the Luxe- not to mention they're preordering the Versa 4, so at a minimum, I'd want the Versa 3). While I'm making do with what I have, I'm looking at leaving the Fitbit ecosystem entirely due to my experience with this product.LissaKristine

I own a versa 3 and I love it but I gradually started removing it at night because it's not very comfortable when sleeping. I did not expect this to be as nice as my versa 3 but I was excited to be able to use it at night to track my sleep. My mom has also been wanting one so I felt like a larger watch would not be comfortable for her so I ordered two. The positives of this watch, it looks good, it's sleek and comfortable so you don't really notice that you are wearing it. The small display makes it a little more challenging to set it properly, but I don't think it's a deal breaker for me. After playing with it a little I figured it out and it now works the way I want it to. So the negatives. The deal breaker for me is the continual issue I'm having with the band. I did need to switch to the larger band, and it continues to fall off. I did not have this problem with my versa 3. I hear it click in place and when I tug on it it's sturdy but by the end of the day, a simple movement will make if fall off. I've worn it for about a week and it has always stayed on at night while I'm sleeping except last night it did fall off. The other issue is not being able to have the convenience of seeing everything on the screen. I did try about 3 different watch face choices until I found one that I really liked and would give me everything I need with a simple scroll. Yes, it's not ideal having the smaller screen but that's not the deal breaker for me. I do wish fitbit would make upgrades to allow you to seamlessly switch between watches. I would absolutely keep this watch if that were the case. This would be my watch when I want to dress up and it would also be what I wear to bed. Otherwise, I would wear my versa 3. I think I'm sending both watches back and going back to my versa. I know I don't want to keep mine mainly because of the issues I'm having with the band. I'm not sure it's worth letting my mom try it for that reason and also because it can be a little finicky. Since she's older she will not take the time to play with it to get it where it needs to be. I was very much aware that this was the second time this was on a tsv so that speaks volumes, but the price was worth giving it a try. Some people are complaining about the band not being white, well I don't think it was ever described as white and it certainly didn't look white on the screen. I do love the color of the band, it's a great neutral. At the end of the day when compared to my versa 3, the only advantage it has is it's considerably more comfortable to have on when sleeping. I don't know if my bad issue is a flaw with this watch. If that's the case, I do recommend this especially if you go into the purchase understanding that it can be a little annoying to setup but once you figure it out, it works quite well.CarolinaBlueGirl

It's very light and easy to forget you are even wearing anything on your wrist. The band is a soft silky feeling rubber but is very durable and provides some stretching. The band is an open style, but still makes it easy to operate one handed through it's design. There is a small peg on the short strap, and an open loop roughly an inch behind it. It's very easy to line the peg up with the right hole with just one hand, and then you get to neatly tuck the excess band through the built in loop hole on the short side. At a quick glance the whole tracker and band look just like some of those rubber bracelets people use to wear all the time. The screen is a touch screen, but there is a small sensor located at the bottom of the screen that works as the major button for all actions. The watch face can be set to turn on by flipping your wrist and looking at it, or by touching the button. The watch face is customizable with it's layout, and widget placements. You can even set a security pin to lock the watch if desired. The Halo View can sync this with your phone to receive notifications and messages. Physically, it's small, lightweight, durable and water resistant to 50M. So it can be worn at all times showering, swimming and at work. I'm not sure of the watch face glass and it's overall strength, so if you work in construction or other abrasive jobs, you might want to keep the face turned in to under your wrist, just keep in mind that the sensors were designed for an outward wear. The tracker uses green and red lights to record it's data. I have seen some inconsistencies in the O2 reading, but the heart rates have been pretty normal so far. Most Fitness trackers use green light to record heart rates because of it's ease of use and years of proven data. However keep in mind that green light is easily absorbed by our bodies, and tattoos and even the concentration on melanin in our skin can effect it's readings. The sensors on the tracker record the variations in the reflected light patterns to determine the heart rate. It's always good to remind ourselves that fitness trackers are not medical equipment, and the data collected and displayed isn't always going to be 100 percent accurate, it's just supposed to be a baseline for us to use. If that baseline seems way out of whack then it's time to seek medical help. Keeping what I just said in mind, the Halo View also can take O2 readings. My readings have ranged from 85 to 95 in the same sitting. Proper placement of the watch and sensors will lead you to the best readings possible by the watch(remember it's not medical equipment). You should always try to slide the watch away from your hand , up your arm a bit to avoid most of your wrist bones conflicting with the sensors. The O2 sensors use red light, because red light is not as easily absorbed by our bodies, which means it can penetrate deeper into the tissue. The sensors pickup the difference in the infrared light vs the regular red light in the blood streams. Heavily oxygenated blood absorb more infrared light, while deoxygenated blood absorbs more regular red light. It's the calculated ratios here that give the device your O2 levels/percentages. I got inconsistent readings even with proper placement of the tracker, but most of the readings were still in acceptable ranges. The Halo View does track something I have never seen another tracker do before, and that is our voice. It's not so much of what we are saying but how we are saying it. Personally I think more people need this. It pays attention to the tone in your voice and tries to let you know how you could be being perceived by others. This is a great tool, as I have tried to express this same point to my kids. People will react to you differently based on your tone. If you have a friendlier happier tone, people will respond positively to you. If you sound angry or depressed all the time people will be defensive or steer clear of a conversation with you. Not only is this a great tool to use to practice sounding more inviting, but just be doing this it lightens your own mental health. If you sound happier, you will feel that as well. So, while this part may seem to be very intrusive and somewhat rude( to be criticized by an app ) on how we talk, wouldn't it be nice if everyone you spoke to sounded happy and friendly. The activities tracker seems to work pretty good at keeping track of exercise, steps, movement and calories burned. It gives you a score(percentage) of where you are for the week on keeping up with your general exercise. You can also schedule workouts or 5 minute sessions through the app, to keep you on track for the week. I like to be able to see where I am at for calories burned for the day. I know this is just a generalized number and it would take much greater equipment to give an accurate measurement, but it's still nice to have something to work with. The new fitness band from Amazon really does almost everything. Setting it up is really easy The 1st thing I noticed is that it categorizes different areas of health that it helps you keep track of. Of course, one of the main areas is "Activity" – it not only counts your steps, but also your heart rate, so it assigns "points" according to the intensity of activity level, which I found really encourages me to be aware of not only my sedentary time, but to also do more bursts of high intensity activity. You can additionally add exercise and I appreciate the suggested fitness routines in the app. Related to this is an area they call "Movement" which uses some interesting technology to take pictures of your body and estimate your body fat, which, according to them, is more accurate than your BMI. Then, it suggests movement based on your areas of strength and weakness in different parts of your body. Personally, I find this to be very helpful to increase flexibility in some of my weaker areas. I like how much the app is customized to my personal activity and ability. Also, it has a sleep tracker section of the app, which tracks you heart rate, temperature, length to fall asleep, depth of sleep, and amount of time restless. Again, it compiles this into a score to rate your overall sleep quality. All of these sections and ratings can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it is a fairly comprehensive look at your overall health. Other additions include a section that analyzes your tone of voice, suggestions for meditation, and other mental health wellness, healthy recipes, and other tips. You can do a deep dive in any area and the value added part of this band seems to be its ability to suggest a large variety of "programs" to improve your health, while giving you reminders to complete them. The band itself is comfortable to wear and I had no problems with irritation or wearing it while I slept. It is actually thinner than Fitbit bands I have worn in the past. Charging it is pretty simple and the charge lasts quite a long time (for me it was about seven days on average.) The 2 small features that I hope they add in the future are calorie counting in the Nutrition section so that I can keep track of my intake as much as my output; and, for the Sleep section to also recognize naps as midday sleep rather than sedentary activity. I like the amount of personalization that it offers while still keeping privacy by regularly deleting and not sharing your data. Overall, I feel as though I'm discovering new and helpful features on it every day.Murphy

A very typical looking fitness band. Simple touchscreen display with a single area at the bottom for touching to go back. It has all the features most other fitness bands have but with the subscription, included for 1 year, it provides more. It has all the things you would expect of a smart watch/fitness band. Time, heart rate, footsteps, calories, sleep monitor, notifications, audio control and exercise options. When paired with your phone you can get even more functions like guided exercise routines, scored activities, food plans and more details to each of the normal functions. However, even further with the subscription you can use their body composition toll to calculate body fat percentage and their tone monitoring that calculates the tone of your voice to determine where you are at on a scale of amused, content, reserved or displeased. Though I see these features offered, I feel a little uneasy letting an application take photos of my bare body and my watch listening to every word I say to determine my mood. When I first pulled it out, it says to charge to 12%, but the charger is the strangest thing I have seen and there was no indication of it actually charging. It is like one of those little hair clips, but with a wire connected to it. Then I didn’t know how to put it on because I have never seen a watch band like this, but the app has a little video for it, so it makes sense. However, it is still awkward to adjust. I have the medium/large band as I have used that size before, but with only 7 holes I am keeping it on the tightest to the one before most of the time and I am having a hard time getting it tight enough. As awkward as it is to get on though, it seems to hold pretty well. Tracking wise it seems to be doing just as good as my previous watches. I check on my stats each day and see that I really should be more active, but my sleep is usually good. The app is where you get the real details, but I feel like it is just so cluttered with stuff that it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for. Battery life has lasted over 5 days but it notes that if you enable the tone monitoring that it is only about 2 days. Overall, it is a typical fitness watch with added features through the mobile app that you don’t see in others. Counts your steps and you can set it to vibrate when you reach your goals. You can also find your phone if you lost it nearby. You can receive text messages, use it to take photos on your phone, etc. But the more you use, the more battery is used. So, adjust as needed. Cheap and does what I need it to do.Jlee

I wanted a watch so bad. I went and purchased mine at Walmart. I seem to be the only one saying I have to wear it a bit tight at all times for it to read anything. It doesn't matter if I walk or not, I use an elliptical and my phone and the Google fit app work better than this watch. The only fun 3 things for me are the heart rate during workouts, the cycle tracker and the watch faces. But for $50, a cool watch face is decent I guess?? Hey, get what ya pay for and pay for what you can afford, and don't expect too much. They tell me I should be 108.8 pounds on the zepp app because I'm 5 foot tall. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 They're from Japan and China. That's how they live. Don't expect a watch made in a different culture to match your standards either.Nicole Lee

First if you have a small wrist you probably wanna change the watch band, I like the color(orange) but don't like the way it clasped. Next the alexa part does work you have to pay attention to how the watch prompts you to talk. You will feel a slight buzz then you respond by saying what you want. You don't have to say "alexa" just speak. The picture and the music controls work only if the camera or music appt is open. Haven't tried any of the exercise parts other than counting steps. The sleep monitoring is pretty cool. I like the amount of watch faces you can choose. All and all its not a bad watch for the money.force Of nature

My son gave me Vivosmart 4 as I developed a heart issue. I love the tracking. I don't like needing to recharge every four days. I don't like how it continually disconnect from phone and constantly alerts me to the fact. There is no reason for it. Probably drains the battery early. My son shutdown the pedometer reminder. When that was on battery lasted two days.
Those are unnecessary nusiances.
I love the sleep tracking and the body battery, what an innovation though I can't phantom they work…

The other frustration is Garmin not responding to my sons several inquires as to whether or not to return for repair or replacement.

Right now the hiccup is it doesn't track everything all the time. Somethings it sync's while it chooses to level others out with reason "not enough bla blah blah to assess bla blah blah….why not? The other "stuff" was sufficient.Cobweb Carol

I purchased the item on 1st June 2022 and realised it had issues tracking sleep (some nights recording it, some nights not at all). It would also only 'spot' track my heart rate (for say an hour or so during the day, then dropping out) and some days, it wouldn't track my heart rate at all! The strap of the Vivosmart is also not good for the skin – it 'burnt' and blistered my wrist under where the heart rate monitor is situated and caused a rash, then blistering, and bruising – like a chemical type burn – this is even with washing the strap daily with isopropyl. Contacted Garmin Support on 16th June 2022 and went back and forth, being asked the same questions over and over, being asked to do the same things over and over, with no attempt to resolve the issues at all. Finally gave up on 30 June 2022 and returned the product and purchased a Fitbit which has been far superior so far! All-in-all, not worth the money, there are much better options within the same price range out there.SCLN

Amazfit gtr 4 is Good looking smartwatch with stunning amoled display.Battery life is very good because of bigger 475 mah battery.Im a daily runner and with heavy usage I got 7 days before I had to charge it again. With moderate use you can easily use it for about 15 days before charging again. I used it for running activity and I found that it's GPS was perfect. Heart rate reading was also accurate. It has got microphone and speaker so I could use it to take blutooth call without having to take out my phone while running. It also gave me my sleep details accurately. It could also monitor my SPO2, Stress, heart rate and breathing rate with single button press. I highly recommend it for runners and sportsmen as it can monitor about 150 activities.Mahesh M.

Amazefot Bip U Pro is more of a Fitness watch rather than a smart watch. I got it in sale for 3000 INR and I found it is the best in that price range.It do whatever it says in the box, no feature is gimmick, everything works properly. Accuracy is close to perfect (99%). Step counter, sleep tracking, heart rate monitor, SPO2, and stress calculator feels quite accurate. GPS works very precisely outdoor, but it won't connect when you try to connect indoor. If this bothers you then it will be a upset, obviously in case of my needs, I don't want GPS for indoor workouts, so it doesn't bother me at all.Lookwise, it looks good though it has a plastic build.I know I would be expecting too much from a watch worth 3000, but If it got a pre installed SSD and if I would be able to download musics into the watch, this would be the perfect smartwatch for me.Anu

OK, I have had this watch for about over a month which is a good amount of time before reviewing it. I have owned several fitbits, a earlier vesion of a withings, two hauwei ones, and was looking for a more stylish fitness watch. I had no problems with the previous huawei watches but the styling of this watch caught my eye. First the charge ….it seriously lasts a full month or more. Step count is either more accurate or less accurate ( I found the actually step numbers to be a little lower than the huawei watches but maybe they were off) however as long as the step count is consistent which it was im ok with that. The message screen is great you get texts in almost full text. notifications from many apps too. The band is very comfortable. Step dial is really nice for a quick glance. Waterproof , I use it in the hot tub every night. I guess my only negative is that the watch face can scratch ( i have a few small scratches on mine ) but no big deal over that. Awesome sauce! If you're looking for a classy, long lasting battery, hybrid mechanical/smartwatch, this is it. Nokia (before the Nokia buy out, it was Withings) really did a fantastic job on both the hardware and the app/software design. It looks fantastic and matches any outfit without looking too dorky like the rest of the other bulky full touchscreen smartwatches out there (although there's a place for that too if that's your cup of tea). Does everything my dad needs, including pedometer, heart rate/workout tracking, some notifications, waterproof (you can swim with it as they even have swimming activity tracking), etc. Looks great for outings as well as not having another gadget to charge every day or two (he hasn't charged it for over a month and is active with tracking). App is quite good although some refinement can help further. A few cons include being on the pricey side (you can look for older models under the Withings name which look the same or some do not have a digital display if you want save some) as well as not a full blown touchscreen smartwatch. But the latter is a matter of preference as I do use that kind of dorky smartwatch and it does do everything and then some. It's just a trade off for aesthetics and battery life in my opinion. I've used quitea few smartwatches and I strongly think my next one would be a hybrid. Check it out, friends!artwantsit

I haven't had my Steel HR Hybrid 36mm Rose Gold Smartwatch for very long but the short time I have I really love it. It looks like a very stylish regular watch but tracks everything I need in a smart watch and motivates me to move more with the fitness tracker. The watch is easy to navigate and having the incoming call and message notifications means you never miss a call or message. I am very happy with my purchase, I love the look of the watch, the long battery life between charges, the ease of operation and that it doesn't look like a regular fitness watch. My 8 year old figured this thing out in 10 minutes (I had to read the manual). My 5 year old can navigate the main menu really easily but needs help with starting timers or the stopwatch. It's very kid friendly and the app is very parent friendly. I assigned chores for them to do everyday and they get such satisfaction hearing the coins make sounds when I check off the chore. I was afraid I'd have to sync the watch each time they completed a chore but since it's Bluetooth it syncs automatically when it's within range of my phone. Having the ability to create rewards tied to the chores is nice too. The fact that chores and rewards have prepopulated options and the ability to create your own is really nice too. My oldest has ADHD and has a hard time staying on track but she loves seeing her chores with how many she has completed and how many she has total. It has actually helped keep her more focused. Overall I'm very happy with this and my kids love it. It's nice that they can keep it on 24/7 without worrying about charging or getting wet is nice. After a year I'll have to change the battery but it's a really common button battery that I already have at home so it's no big deal. For this price buy it!Alexandra

Got this to replace my sons fitbit, sick of their battery issues. The vivofit jr 3 seemed perfect, games, 1 year battery with no charging, the ability to set tasks and chores for him. Got it in the mail today, very disappointed with the fact that the screen wont stay backlit. That’s probably the biggest drawback. The screen doesn’t appear to be touch screen, which is just awkward. I was also really disappointed with the photos of chemical type burns on children’s arms in the Amazon reviews from the band that comes with the tracker, thats one reason I cant stand Fitbit. So we had to order a whole new band for it. Overall I’m not impressed, time will tell whether I completely regret buying this or not.AZMama

So far, about a month in, we like this watch. For the price, it has great features. It is easy to use, and my kiddo likes seeing his steps and sleep. The one thing I dislike is that we have to manually since it fairly often. It doesn't always do it automatically (in fact most often we have to push the button). At first I didn't like the display, as it is quite dim, but I realized that is by design and it just takes a quick button push to brighten the screen. The timers, reminders, goals, chore settings are great, and I can track all of them right on my phone. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase!Nessa374

My complaint about this product is that it is a replacement for a previous charge 4 that was still a functional tracker but rendered unwearable: The cleat on the side of the watch that the band snaps into sheered away from the watch body. To my knowledge, there was no traumatic event that caused it – maybe I snagged it or bumped a doorjamb and just didn't take note. I chose to buy anogher Charge 4 here because I like the functioonality and I already owned two aftermarket watchbands – I had to replace the original 8 months into ownership becuse it broke from what was clearly friction from the buckle moving and wearing at the silicon band. I had JUST bought a third band when the cleat holding it to the watch body sheered away. The watch was 13 months in my posession when this happened. I didn't replace it with a Charge 5 so I can continue to get value out of my aftermarket watchbands. If however the same thing happens with the replacement, I don't think I will buy another Fitbit. I had the first version of the Charge that lasted me years before the battery finally gave out.pennycolouredfixie

decided i wanted a low-profile tracker and chose this over the charge 5 because 4 still has an altimeter (fitbit ditched it for the 5, which has other bells and whistles, but if i'm going to bother tracking my lazy butt i want that to include stairs and hills). the band it came with isn't uncomfortable, but it is extremely bulky, so i found an off-brand replacement band made with velcro that's proven to be much more comfortable and adjustable and better fitted, making the fitbit easier/less noticeable to wear, including when sleeping. step tracker has seemed accurate, no idea about the exercise tracking but it seems fine when i've used it (including auto-detection), and the sleep tracking seems pretty accurate too. i haven't yet checked out other non-premium options like mindfulness. the app interface is a bit clunky and non-intuitive and perhaps a bit focused on encouraging users to upgrade to premium, but it's tolerable as i don't need to use it much. i did opt for the in-app squaretrade protection plan just because it covers drops/cracked screens and i was more worried about that than a device failure. all in all a decent tracker, too bad they removed a basic feature like the altimeter in the newer model.michelle

This review is after using the device for a year. I know we get excited when we get a new product and go ahead and rate it GREAT but forget to circle back after actual use of it for longer than 6 months.

So I’m writing this review after wearing the Fitbit for one year and two months with the following observations:
PRO:
Super sleek cool little tracker
Easy on and off
Decent tracking ability of steps, sleeping
Great battery life

CONS:
You can expect this product to last about one year with regular non strenuous use.
You will have to replace the band after 6 months +$20
Then again after 6 months +$20
And then the tracker will break in the part that connect the band to the unit and you will have to replace the whole thing again +$150

You will not receive any support from Fitbit even thou it’s a manufacturing defect that is brought about as an issue in countless reviews posted here.

Bottom line: I wish I read the reviews prior to purchasing this product and not gotten blinded by the 4 out of 5 stars overall review. If you dig deeper you will see this product has a one year life-line and it’s designed to break right after your warranty expires.

With the money initially invested plus the bands you will have to buy, you will be out $200 and no Fitbit . Unless you purchase it again, of course!

This item does somethings really well and others not so well. Cool features are that it doesn’t require charging, it’s apparently waterproof (but I haven’t tested that theory) it can call your phone from your watch if you’ve lost it. Things that it doesn’t do so well is that it doesn’t measure heart rate so the calorie tracker is less accurate and that you have to manually sync it up to the app which can be a bit clunky and difficult to do at times. The strap is quite comfortable and easily washable as it does seem to gather swear pretty well. I have that issue with all fitness trackers. It’s not bad for step counts but if you need more information I wouldn’t recommend it that highlyNamini

I bought this product because my watch broke and my Fitbit was lost at around the same time and so I needed a product which did both jobs. I admit it was the price which attracted me firstly to this, and also the way it looks. Other reviews had told me this lacked features such as the heart monitor, but I don't need that. I'm just a busy person who needs to do more exercise! I've found the step counter to be reliable and the watch is good, and I like the fact you can choose your clock format and that it will always be accurate because it syncs with my phone. The phone app allows you to chose the information you get on your watch. If you don't want the weather report (which is in Fahrenheit I think ) then just turn it off. If you don't like the alarm that tells you off when you've been still too long, just turn it off. The app isn't brilliant as these features require a bit of hunting around, but at least it's possible. The watch strap is comfortable soft plastic. I tend to be sensitive with watch straps but this is fine, and everything is very secure. The screen face is easy to see, even in bright light (unlike a smart phone screen) but isn't lit for dim light conditions. I like the timer features. I can time 1, 3, 5 or 10 mins which is handy for trying to hold a plank, or timing my son when he's brushing his teeth! I like the feature which recognises when I am walking for longer than 10 mins or running and credits me with "active minutes", the aim is to do 120 active minutes a week. I don't have to input this, it's all automatic. When I reach my step target (which you can decide yourself) it does a little "tada!" tune, cheerful but discrete. The only feature which doesn't work is "find my phone". All in all it's an excellent fitness aid. It's probably not good enough for serious fitness people, but for me it's perfect and I love it.Karentoobusy

Pros: Watch looks nice and fits well, the app looks good. Cons: We could not add the app onto our sons mobile phone as it was not compatible so have had to add the app to my phone. His phone is only 2 years old. The watch needs to be manually synced with the phone daily to carry the info across to the app. It takes a couple of goes to get it to sync and generally have to take the watch off to do so. I expected more from Garmin to be honest. I have another brand of watch and find it more user friendly, I wish I had spent a little more money to get him the other brand of watch.Bronnach

I only have had it for a couple of days but this is my review so far: I cannot tell you how long the battery lasts, or if everything is working as it should as I am just getting to know the different features that it offers. As of right now my biggest complaint is that if kept telling that I needed to tighten the watch more. It felt tight already! So now it is very tight and I guess it’s happy and giving me the info but I don’t like how it feels on my wrist. Maybe with time I could get used to it… but I don’t know right now. I like that it reminds me every hour to get up and move when I have been sitting too long or how many steps I need to reach a goal for the hour. I also like the sleep feature, since I have sleeping problems it is good to see how I am really doing. It shows the length of sleeping time, how long it was light sleep, deep sleep and rem time. I like that it is water resistant, I don’t need to take it off to do dishes! This is my first tracker so I don’t have anything else to compare it with nor do I know how to really get the best use out of it, but for the price I think it is something good to get started with to help me improve my health.Hayleysv

I’m someone who is looking for better sleep tracking, fitness tracking, and who doesn’t like to receive notifications from their phone most of the time. HATE the band! It doesn't stay on when sleeping because it just has a button that pushes into the hole. The band also flips off randomly when I'm busy because I've brushed my wrist. It's really quite annoying and I wouldn't recommend this fitness band just because of that. I've had a Fitbit for years and had a falling out with the brand so I thought I'd give this a try. It's a complicated device. Some might like that, but I'm really just looking for the time, steps, and heart rate. This has music, Alexa, blood oxygen, and way more. Not a bad thing, but I still haven't figured out how to get everything working. Screen is definitely big enough, but not too big. Fairly easy to navigate. My son gave me Vivosmart 4 as I developed a heart issue. I love the tracking. I don't like needing to recharge every four days. I don't like how it continually disconnect from phone and constantly alerts me to the fact. There is no reason for it. Probably drains the battery early. My son shutdown the pedometer reminder. When that was on battery lasted two days.
Those are unnecessary nusiances.
I love the sleep tracking and the body battery, what an innovation though I can't phantom they work…

The other frustration is Garmin not responding to my sons several inquires as to whether or not to return for repair or replacement.

Right now the hiccup is it doesn't track everything all the time. Somethings it sync's while it chooses to level others out with reason "not enough bla blah blah to assess bla blah blah….why not? The other "stuff" was sufficient.Cobweb Carol

I purchased the item on 1st June 2022 and realised it had issues tracking sleep (some nights recording it, some nights not at all). It would also only 'spot' track my heart rate (for say an hour or so during the day, then dropping out) and some days, it wouldn't track my heart rate at all! The strap of the Vivosmart is also not good for the skin – it 'burnt' and blistered my wrist under where the heart rate monitor is situated and caused a rash, then blistering, and bruising – like a chemical type burn – this is even with washing the strap daily with isopropyl. Contacted Garmin Support on 16th June 2022 and went back and forth, being asked the same questions over and over, being asked to do the same things over and over, with no attempt to resolve the issues at all. Finally gave up on 30 June 2022 and returned the product and purchased a Fitbit which has been far superior so far! All-in-all, not worth the money, there are much better options within the same price range out there.SCLN

Great watch for everyday use! This watch does the basic I want. It has awesome workout setting that lets me specify exactly what type of workout I am doing to get more accurate statistics on calories burned, heart rate, steps, and more. The watch face itself is simple and not too busy, which I love. The best part is the battery life! It lasts so long without needing to charge! My current watch requires me to charge it every other day which is annoying. I’ve had this watch for 5 days and it’s still over 50% charge. Great watch for your everyday wearing! It’s super light weight and the band is very comfy. The watch face Is a perfect size to display everything without being too big that it’s massive on your wrist. I like to track my steps and activity in a day and this watch does both! It has multiple options for tracking which ever workout you are doing. Being able to select my workout type gives me more accurate stats on calories burned, steps, how far/long I went, and heart rate. The watch also allows you to customize which notifications from your phone you want to display (messages, email, calls, etc.). The best part is the battery life. It is a nice built watch for the price. And has more than enough functions for average people. The GPS is especially convenient. Battery life is very good (5+ days). But I just have one issue. The App Zepp would NOT update with the watch except Day1. In the following 2 weeks, I tried manual update, close/open the App, and deleted then re-installed the App. It just would not getting the data from the watch. I waited a few days and then re-checked again, no luck. So today I returned it back. I had Pebble Steel, and Fitbit Versa before. This one gave me too much trouble. I am going back to my Pebble Steel for now. It can do the always-on feature for about 7 days. Samsung watch 5 is on my "watch" list but its battery only lasts about 1 day is a major drawback.KevinG

I got the IHome smart watch in blue for my 11 year old son because we want him to acquire healthy habits about exercise and nutrition while also having fun. This health bracelet has won my heart! To begin with, the idea is brilliant. Because I have a weak immune system and frequently become ill, I purchased this to keep track of my heart rate and temperature while on the go. Even my steps are included! It also comes with an app that is quite helpful! My favorite feature is that the wrist band does not bother me at all! I really like how easy it is to charge the band all you have to do is pull it off and connect it to the USB cube no need for a charger! Amazing. It was also delivered quite quickly. The Poolmate 2 is the only watch that I have found which will accurately record distance via calibrated/stroke- rate it does not require GPS and is therefore ideal for breaststroke swimmers – my first one lasted for four years and I have just purchased a second. (GPS-based watches do not work for breaststroke swimmers as they are unable to pick up the signal unless you wave your arms around at regular intervals above the waterline).rchikdog

I've had this watch since December of 2021. Coming up on a year of use in about 3 months, and it's great. I love everything about it. EXCEPT for the fact that I paid extra money for a feature that does. not. work. Headphones pair properly, and music plays without an issue while I've just got the watch running. But the second I try to listen to music during an activity –the whole reason why I purchased this watch–the music cuts out and I hear nothing. It seems like this is an issue several other people have had, and I'm just frustrated. I've been running with my phone in hand and just playing my music from there, but I shouldn't have to. I bought this nearly a month ago and I have been very impressed. The many watch faces are a fantastic way to personalize this watch. I compared this to a previous item and it reads in a more accurate manner. I wish there was an integration for Strength. It's quite a bother to have to stop and press the pause/go button while working out. Fortunately, on the desktop, you can go and edit/add anything that is missing. It is tedious work but I'm glad that that is an option. I have not been let down by the battery life, I was worried at first since the watch screen was always visible, regardless of if the back light was on or not. I'm notoriously bad at charging any electronic I have, finally made it a habit to plug it in when I shower and it's a fast charge for sure. The Bluetooth connection hasn't been a letdown. The buttons and how-to are a bit clunky and I would say have somewhat of a learning curve/adjustment. But once it's figured out it's nice to have on a run where I don't need to take my phone. Once you move away connectivity becomes spotty if you're not wearing the watch for whatever reason, and it's expected of most Bluetooth-supported devices. The widgets are hit-or-miss, that's all. Overall, I'm really impressed with the features it has, I wish it had more integrations, but that's personal want for some who regularly does weightlifting.ctm9

At first, this watch is great. You can use it underwater, music plays to Bluetooth earphones, I like seeing my texts pop up on the screen, but otherwise it really misses the mark, which sucks considering it’s an expensive device. First of all, the heart rate monitor is not accurate at all. It often overestimates my heart rate at rest or light activity. When I’m working out hard and my heart is pumping at what I know has to be above 130 bpm, it just farts itself and sticks to around 110-120 bpm. Doesn’t matter if the watch is snug, lower wrist or higher wrist, it never has an accurate reading. Which is unfortunate considering that was one of the main reasons I bought the watch for. Second of all, the user interface and software on the Garmin Connect app is not user friendly, often inaccurate and leaves something to be desired when compared to software from Fitbit. Sometimes the watch won’t connect to the app and it requires a whole process to reconnect that can be frustrating. The guides online are also not clear and often unhelpful. This is a great smartwatch if what you’re looking for is basically a wrist extension of your phone, but fitness wise it is way to expensive to be worth it and is a bit of a joke. Honestly thinking of selling it an upgrading to a newer Fitbit.Batchan

I updated from Versa 2 as I wanted the GPS function. The steps seem to go on faster to the app than before. The strap on the fitbit is much more comfortable than the one on the Versa 2. There are some functions on the Versa 4 which are coming soon, so will be even better than it is and I am pleased with it. I did have the Versa 2 and just upgraded to the Versa 4 when it was time for a replacement. I really like the changes – the strap is more comfy and I like that it tucks away, the exercise shortcuts have improved with more choices, I like the new clock face it comes with as standard too (you can personalise in the app). Charge 3 is great when it works & while it lasts. These things are pre-programmed to die after the 1 year warranty expires (planned obsolescence) so they can sell you another one for nearly $200. At these prices you’d hope they’d last at least 5 years! I have a 30 year old Timex sports watch in my jewelry box that still runs, but my fit-bit’s have only lasted 20 to 26 months & I’m not alone in this experience! Fitbit admits the problem is in the hard drive, but won’t cover it. You’d think after this many years they’d have the “bugs” worked out, but the “bug” has been put there intentionally- so it’ll never be “worked out”!!

I’m a 5’3” tall, homebound, woman with low to normal weight- so it certainly doesn’t receive any heavy duty use & was fully charged routinely according to the instructions! Because of suffering from myalgic encephalomyelitis- (ME) & postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), I use it to track my heart rate & sleep.

Initially I had problems getting it to sync with the Bluetooth- so for months I couldn’t get any of the app information without spending hours of trying one fix after another & repeating the processes until at some point it magically worked! Then, I enjoyed about 8 months of it working like it should until the screen abruptly went black! None of the “fixes“ worked- so I gave up & had to look at my iPhone app to see what was going on! Then it wouldn’t take a charge, but after purchasing a new charger for a hopeful fix, it still didn’t work. So I threw it out & reluctantly purchased another one! I had been wanting to get a Smart Watch for a few years, but never quite had the money to do so. I saw this on Rollback for $80 and thought why not? I decided to buy it thinking it would be something good to have, but I didn't realize it would be a huge help especially during the COVID 19 Pandemic. The reason I say this is because with so many things being shut down and travel being restricted to a lot of places, several doctor's offices are doing virtual visits and that means that they can't get vitals. Now with my Fitbit tracking my heartrate I can at least give them that which is a big help to my doctor. It also helps with my Weight Program and Exercise by helping to keep track of how much I lost, how many calories I consumed, how much I exercised and was active, and it even tracks how much I sleep and my breathing while i sleep. It does all of that and then even more because it an help track water intake and has guided meditation and relaxation techniques. It is true that you need the Fitbit App for a lot of features which means needing a Smart Phone but it is so worth it. My only regret is not buying one of these sooner.Christopher

Had a pretty sturdy alta before this, but wanted a fitbit with more features. So purchased a charge 3 at a hefty price. It worked well for about a year, and i enjoyed having it as a health incentive and tracker. However, after using it decently for about a year and 10 months, it has failed under the ominous error 001….something to do with its software/firmware. After digging around, seems to be a common issue. Sadly, fitbit support will only cite it's one year warranty. So be prepared to shell out a lot of cash for a device only meant to live for about a year give or take. Will definitely be looking into other options for fitness trackers.SR Emmanuel
