20 Best Aio Water Cooler For 8700K (2023 Update)

This is a good product (AIO and Fans) with support behind it. The Microcenter's builder site said the Kraken supported the LGA 1700 CPU (12 Gen Intel) socket and this looked like it would fit the bill for our build. We received the Kraken without issue. We got into the build and the instructions and brackets did not fit our motherboard. We had to contact NZXT for the CPU bracket and hardware. It took 3 working days to get the bracket…. I guess it is good to have a slowdown and re-examine the build. The support was good, the description was as promised… just need to get another part to make it work.Dave H

Bought this specific one for the LCD display. Wanted to actually purchase it from somewhere else, but it wasn't in stock and surprisingly Best Buy had a better deal on it at my local store. Keeps my Ryzen 7 3700x at around 30 to 32 while idle and around 37 max while gaming. Haven't done anything too CPU intensive though so it might be overkill. But, with the stock cooler it was hitting high 40's while gaming, so I suppose it's working as intended. Installation is easy enough. If you build your PCs then you can install this easily. Ditched the stock fans that came with it and used Lian Li AL120s since I like the aesthetics of them more, but NZXT fans are decent themselves.grassninja2626

This AIO is so awesome. The customization is endless with the GIFs and the temp/speed/usage information comes in really handy when you want to keep an eye on what's going on without having to have an overlay over your screen. The only issue I have with it is the viewing angles of the LCD screen. They are absolutely horrible where to clearly see the GIF you have to be right in front of it. If you are looking at your PC from an angle the image is not that great. You lose a lot of colors and areas become very darkened. They could have done a much better job at this. Other than that this AIO is great. Keeps my 5900x relatively cool, although it could be cooler. It's a pretty hot cpu in the first place though. I do recommend the Z73, just keep in mind about the viewing angles of the LCD. Some images are better than others, but this definitely could have been improved for over $300. Oh and it's definitely overpriced. You are paying like $120-140 over the infinity mirror one for the privilege of having custom GIFS on your CPU. But that privilege is freaking awesome. I definitely won't buy another one and I'm hesitant the one that did work, is going to support a 12900k for very long. being that it's twinzy was leaking right out of the box (No Damage To Box). So, no idea. It might be good, it might not be. To be honest, I don't know why I ever choose liquid cooling. I've never had trouble with a fan cooler, even on high end CPUs. This is an amazing AIO IF you can fit it in your case. The radiator is 39mm by itself then you add on 25mm for the fans. If you are planning to front mount this, make sure you have enough space. I have this cooler mounted in a Thermaltake X1 (probably the biggest ITX case you can buy) in the front with the fans situated to pull air through the radiator in from outside of the case (the fans come mounted in a push configuration) to cool a 3700X that is OC'd to 4.35Ghz @ 1.4V core voltage and my lowest CPU temp is 28 degrees Celcius in a 20-degree Celcius room. Running AIDA64 CPU benchmark for over 4 hours the max temp I have seen in my case has been 48 degrees Celcius on the processor and the CPU package has been at 58 degrees, and my system is stable. A couple of notes: ** Mounting this on a ASUS ROG STRIX X570-I was not easy. if the stock backplate does not have long enough lugs you may need to contact Arctic for a backplate. I was able to use 4 small extensions that were included to use with my mobo. Not sure if that was intended, but they worked.** I used Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste. I already had it from a previous build. I know the MX-4 is very good, but your mileage may vary.Please. PLEASE!, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD MAKE SURE TO MOUNT YOUR RADIATOR CORRECTLY! Please take my review with a grain of salt. I have a decent experience with computers (15 years or so) and I always try to find best solutions at affordable prices. This cooler is very good on it's own by cooling down my current CPU (AMD 3600) and the price comparison with other AIO coolers it's unbeatable. That being said, many other factors should be taken in consideration. Before using this AIO, I had and air cooling solution, the Arctic Freezer eSports 33. The general temperatures are more similar than I wanted and the AIO is giving me a headroom of about 5 Celsius degrees lower than the air cooler. With that difference in temperature you won't see any benefits in the real world as you will get the same performance out of your CPU, no higher frequencies or longer stability at highest frequency, no higher FPS in games etc. Considering I paid only about £35 for the air solution and about £90 for the AIO, I don't think it's worth the trouble. If you add the risks of having a water loop in your system and the trouble fitting it in the case as it takes a lot of space, better stick with an air cooler rather than this AIO. I've tried to overclock my CPU, thinking the AIO will make a difference but it wasn't the case, reaching the same limits as with the air cooler. In conclusion, I can't recommend this cooler in general but I recommend it in comparison with other AIO as it does a good job cooling the CPU and keeping the noise to a minimumTechnolander

It's really great not to have the noise from a junky stock cooler interfere with my ability to listen to Jpop all night long. It makes me feel like a system building godking to finally have a computer with liquid cooling, but it was so easy to install it kind of feels like cheating. My silicon partner has a lot more staying power in our very long gaming sessions. Things still get super freaky, but now they don't get overly hot.Anonymous

Best cable management. It plugs into the CPU fan header and that powers everything. The radiator fan cables are all sleeved around the radiator hose so there's really no cable management needed for the basic configuration. I had no issues turning this from a push to a pull configuration, and later on for aesthetics I installed a second set of fans to make it a push/pull and had no issues with that either. For the standard configuration I had no issues installing it in a Lancool II case (front mount). Push/pull front mount conflicts with the top two HDD bays so you'd sacrifice those. It can be pretty silent. The pump portion especially. The only noise is if you set your fan curve high. If fact it's so quiet that I found myself wondering how I'd even know if water was flowing. I guess that's a good thing. More instructional documentation would be nice. Maybe a fan curve recommendation or something? I felt kind of nervous just plugging it in and letting it go. Plus my motherboard has headers specifically for AIOs and there was nothing really saying "no, it has to be the CPU fan header for this reason". I still dont really know if it would work on another header but it works on the CPU fan so whatever. I feel like other people are going to get confused by that as well though. I dont work on pc's much but this water cooler is honestly the easiest thing i ever done. And works great my temps went from 40-50c idle 70-80con val 80-98 r6, to 20-25c idle 30-45 val and for R6 45 to 50 on rear occasions. Let alone. Custom gif cant give it up. If you have money laying around or put 25 to 50 aside eqch paycheck for a new cooler this is a wise choiceBenny

This little cooler is super cool! Literally! At first I thought the screen was a gimmick, but after giving it a shot it's so sweet! The convenience of having CPU and GPU temps on the display is just awesome. Putting on custom gifs is also pretty rad! Not only does the cooler look visually stunning, but it also has pretty stellar cooling performance. It keeps my 9900K well under 65C during heavy/long gaming sessions. The stock fans are sort of loud, but they do move a good amount of air. Nzxt cam software has also improved vastly over the years and runs without many bugs. Overall, a fantastic product!Saad

This is the first liquid cooler I've ever owned, and I must say, I'm impressed. My processor agrees! The RGB is fluid and vibrant, the water pump is shiny and sleek, the fans are very quiet, and its cooling performance is stellar! The only problem I could possibly foresee is that with the fans installed, the radiator is quite tall. If you're going for a low profile design on you build, you might have some clearance issues. My setup: R7 2700 Corsair H100i Pro Asus X470f Strix 16gb Gskill Trident Z RGB 3200mhz 14-14-14-34 b-die ( the good stuff lol) Evga RTX 2080 Phanteks Enthoo Pro M This cooler is my first foray into the world of water cooling and so far I'm not disappointed. Installation was fairly easy. It takes a bit of planning out beforehand. Luckily my phanteks enthoo pro m has a removable AIO/fan caddy up top so I could keep checking placement and plan accordingly. Depending on your motherboards fan header placement, I recommend plugging in as much as possible before tightening down the rad. If you're installing it on an AMD setup and want the rad up top as exhaust, secure the pump block first and THEN install the rad. I didn't have enough room to get my chubby fingers in to tighten down the top mount screw for the pump block, but all I had to do was slide my AIO caddy out a little and viola, I could tighten down the screws. The manual is pretty descriptive with a layout of necessary bracket and screws along with pictures for each setup. Worth a read if you're new to AIO's. Now to the Corsair Link 4 software. The incorrect temp readout from Corsair Link caused my fans to stay at a steady 2500 rpm and they are VERY loud when running that fast. After a bit of tinkering and multiple tests with other monitoring programs to make sure my temps weren't really what Link read them as ( it reported my CPU at 78 C idle, insane lol) I just decided to uninstall Link and run my setup off of Q-fan control in my BIOS. For my setup, this software is completely unnecessary for AIO functionality. I can control the pump and fans separately if I so choose. Right now, I have the fans plugged in to the splitter coming off the pump block and the pump tach plugged in to the cpu fan header. The pump sits at about 2100 rpm and my fans ramp up according to cpu temp. The highest my fans have ran without corsair software is about 1100 rpm and they are very quiet. The only useful function I can see for Corsair Link is controlling the color of the AIO block but by default its set to a color cycle and I have no plans to change the led to a static color, so the software is relatively useless for me.Johnathon S.

The Ryzen 3900x has a TDP of 105, so I was not gonna trust it to the stock cooler. But. I opted for a ginormous after market cooler, and that was a mistake. Constantly running the CPU cooler fan at speeds that made the 'puter sound like a 747 ramping up for takeoff, the CPU would still hit 70C, sometimes 80C, doing nothing but ripping DVDs and running ancient non-strenous games (like CS:GO). With the H100i it idles below 30C, sails along at upper 40s, lower 50s, and will sometimes momentarily hit 60C. The absolute highest I've seen over three days is 63C. And it does all this while being almost silent. This was a life changing choice, right here. The installation is non-trivial, but if you can install a normal CPU cooler, you can install this thing. I did remove the strange white thermal compound that came pre-applied and replaced it with some better quality stuff. You can't set up the RGB (i.e. turn it off) or change the fan profiles from Linux, but you can do this through a Windows VM, which you can set up for free. Or, just leave it as is, the default profile is "Balanced", which is a pretty good choice. In short, I don't think an AIO is an option for modern upper-end CPUs, it's a must have, and this one seems pretty nice so far.Htom Sirveaux

I wish I would have done more research before purchasing this. It certainly looks sleek and the cooling is fine, but the LCD screen just has so many problems with the iCue software. For me personally, iCue will see it right after boot and then suddenly the LCD settings will vanish and the screen itself will freeze. After looking into my problem in Corsair's forums, I found a bunch of other posts from people who are having several various issues. To Corsair‘s credit, their developers are responding and actively trying to resolve these issues even now, but it’s a real shame these problems are still ongoing even after the product has been out as long as it hasTbyrd3753

Coming from air cooling the results from the H100i were underwhelming at best, yes it looks great, the LCD screen is eyecandy, the software was easy and responsive when using and installation was quick and straightforward. But for the price, its ability to manage the temperatures and noise produced to cool my cpu left me unimpressed. By no means is this my first build and by no means is this my firs AIO cooler, with the H100i I tried different settings, fan position, physically reattached to cooler and the results were never substantial to show it wasnt installed correctly, for the price and addition of a screen it just isnt that great of a cooler. I bought the H100i Elite LCD Cooler to help cool my new Alderlake CPU which I also bought recently. This cooler is the only one that I could find (at the time of looking) with the included standoffs for LGA1700. The cooler is currently keeping my 12700K CPU at round about 33 degrees C at idle and even when playing games it doesnt rise much higher than that. The LCD display is really nice and you can set it to show whatever you want using Corsair ICUE software. The 2 x 120mm fans and display have really nice RGB (which obviously makes my PC run faster). RGB profiles can be changed again using the Corsair ICUE software. The cooler was easy to install whilst following clear instructions that are included in the box. All in all, I am very impressed with this cooler and would recommend it to anyone looking to build a new PC or even to upgrade their old AIO cooler.EmbryoniX

This went into a build where the heavy lifting is primarily media transcoding and data storage. Processor is an i9-K10850 10 core, over-clocked to 5 GHZ, with 50 TB of storage. I had good luck with Noctua coolers in the past, which is what I initially built with. But during transcodes with the clock speeds hitting 5 G, and the processor working at over 200 watts, it was totally inadequate. After reading various comparisons, I went with the Kraken and a 280 mm radiator. Since I hadn't really planned on an AIO device, 280 mm was as big as my cabinet could hold. While the pump mounted and installed fairly easily, I had to be a bit creative installing the radiator. It's in and working, and the temps at max usage are staying below 75 degrees C without extra fans, and still using a quieter setting for the fan and pump control. For future builds based on an i9 processor, I would probably go with the 320 mm radiator and choose an appropriate cabinet to hold it. The kit is complete, and the pump heat sink has the heat sink paste pre-applied. While there are myriad options for RGB on the pump, for me that isn't a priority, so I chose something pretty basic. I would recommend reading the documentation from NZXT before getting the kit to ensure your build will fully utilize the device.Tomm

Overall, product was well packaged and no issues with setup. Temp at idle is about 10C lower than an air cooler and while gaming (Halo Infinite at max settings with 3080ti) it idles around 35C. I would remove a star because the instructions are down right lacking but didn’t because the product functions really well. You are best off just watching a couple YouTube videos then really trying to follow the instructions. Overall completely satisfied. I’d take note at how you mount the pump and lines as there is a “right” way to do it even though NZXT claims it’s reversible. YouTube videos should go over this too.Miguel

I walked in looking for a new cooler to replace my stock AMD Prism. I was kind of hoping I could control myself and just by a cheaper Noctua cooler as opposed to something like an AIO water cooler. But as it goes with me, couldn't control myself. Turns out it, though, it was the best decision I could have made to go with a water cooler like the Kraken. Although more assembly is required for an AIO, it was an easy upgrade. the instructions were thorough and the quality of the hardware feels really nice with metal construction with a slick black finish, perfect for a stealthy build like mine. The amount of tools necessary is limited to just your screwdriver and your fingers for the thumbscrews, which makes me happy. But nothing made me happier than turning it on, because I couldn't hear a dang thing. It was silent, so silent that it caught me off guard knowing my computer wasn't gonna sound like a jet turbine while gaming or editing anymore. The temps are pretty solid too, idle temps stay around 27C (around 75F) and under load gets to about 65C MAX. Solid cooler.Ian W

So I was running a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU (plus a Radeon RX 580 GPU) with the included stock fan and was constantly having temps in the high 60's C to mid 70's C and above, depending on how demanding of a game I was playing. I decided to take advantage of the "Black Friday/Cyber Monday" deals at Newegg and upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600x and added the Artic Cooling fan in hopes of being able to keep my CPU temp below 70's C while increasing my performance (and making my computer Windows 11 compatible) To my pleasant surprise, I'm running Destiny 2 at 90fps+ topping out my CPU temp around 55C and I even took a chance with the new Halo Infinite F2P, locking at 60fps, and I'm averaging under 60C consistently. I hope to push my CPU and GPU a bit further with some help from AMD software to overclock both slightly and see how it goes. This really does cool like no other. The fan looks like a gimmick but most definitely helps in my motherboard layout anyway. Asus Z170-P. My CPU (6700K) was getting hot when gaming, I had an AIO on the GPU (980 Ti) old but good. The CPU was reaching 90C so I decided to replace the stock with this unit. I have now never reached 60C and the Motherboard is now at 40C max where it was at 60C in there. In essence I have now taken all the heat out of the box and directly blow it out through 2 AIOs. Need to make sure you blow enough in to support that though. The only issue with the Artic Freezer II is the hoses resists any bending and are not coupled through a swivel at the CPU end like others. This means you need to work out the geometry in advance to avoid putting undue force on the CPU.Grant264

If you are looking for a simple, no frills AIO then this is a great choice. No RGB out of the box so it will not appeal to everybody, but that also keeps the cost down. Having an addition fan which blows air over the VRM parts is good, but by no means essential. Runs very quiet, thanks in part to the included Arctic P12 fans which run very, very quiet. Just be careful when installing to check which version of the cooler you have (Either 1, 2 or 3). The instructions are different for each one, and not all of the parts to follow each instructions are included! It did come with a small packet of thermal compound as well – enough for one build so you won't need to buy more. Overall, a good CPU cooler, but the lack of 'bling' may put some people off.Moose99

This is my first time dabbling in AIO coolers. The options I had were Kraken from NZXT or Corsair. I went with this AIO due to the great reviews on YouTube and other platforms. Of course being new to AIO's and upgrading from air cooling was a process in itself. Unfortunately the instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked them to be. But the process entirely took about 2-ish hours to uninstall the air cooler and put in the AIO. Once the process was done and the cable management was all done, this AIO looks truly incredible. I absolutely love this AIO and will recommend it to any and everyone. It's so easy to customize in the iCue app. 10/10, would recommend.Anna L.

I have many other Corsair products in my current computer so I decided to get this as well to continue having stuff that works with their iCue software (which by the way works significantly better than it used to). The cooler itself does a stellar job – temps are below 30 degrees idle (which I almost never had previously with a standard air cooler) and unless it's ramped up to max fan speed isn't super noticeable. RGB looks pretty decent, LOVE the plate that comes on the pump and even more so that they include a secondary design plate that you can swap out. My only complaint is the first one I received gave me a lot of trouble – Initially it wouldn't even be detected by my PC until after I updated iCue. Afterwards it would be detected but give me a "Pump Failure" message despite the pump and fans all running at full speed. The only solution that actually worked was simply replacing the entire unit. This completely fixed any and all problems I had with it.Rasmatazz

Let me start off by saying its very quiet! The fan and the pump are inaudible at idle. This was great as I could browse the net, edit pictures on Photoshop, and watch YouTube without having the sound of a refrigerator sound next to me. Corsair's quality and control is superb, My pump was flawless, in build quality, the paint job absolutely beautiful. The packaging excellent, all components are protected in the event your delivery man throws it on your porch. Now as far as the design, its fantastic! The new Capellix LEDs are super bright, and really make the colors pop. This design paired with Corsair's iCue Software is a very powerful combo. However, be aware that this AIO requires an RGB controller that needs to be connected to a SATA power port, and a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. The controller is included, but make sure you have space in your PC case for it. As far as performance, I am running an 11th Gen Intel i7-11700 CPU, and my temps are 31 C at idle and never go above 70 C during stress testing without throttling.SenorTech

You can still connect the fans normally with any mobo, but you need the controller for the RGB lighting. The fans daisy chain together with a nice short extension to let you do this within the confines of the radiator space, but that does take a bit of figuring out if you haven't hooked up RGB 2 fans by NZXT before. Also keep in mind with the RGB model you need to have the NZXT AER RGB 2 system controller for controlling the lighting using NZXT CAM software. The NZXT "i" cases come with this but not any others. You can still connect the fans normally with any mobo, but you need the controller for the RGB lighting. The fans daisy chain together with a nice short extension to let you do this within the confines of the radiator space, but that does take a bit of figuring out if you haven't hooked up RGB 2 fans by NZXT before. Installing on an AMD CPU. I'll admit, I'm new at installing AIO coolers. That being said, this AIO seems overly complicated to install. The universal mounting bracket sucks. The pins going thru the board are too difficult to get to stay in place. They slipped several times when I was trying to attach the spring screws. The springs on those screws seemed like decoration. They did not have any functionality. As for the lighting, I got the fans to flicker one time when I had the case open. The connectors were way too loose to make good contact. The RGB sync cable for the pump was missing in my kit so I'm not able to control its color. It just does its own thing.Brian O.

As others have stated, if you don't have familiarity with the installation, the enclosed guide with tiny pictures can be difficult to follow/use. The included screws to install the bracket on the water block seem to be a few mm too long, and need excessive torque to install and could possibly strip. I ended up using other screws that I had that were a little shorter and properly secured the brackets without needing excessive force. The tiny pictures on the installation guide don't really help guide how to use or install the spacer for AMD installation. Another tip is to install the RGB connector to the water block before fixing to the motherboard. This is another area that the install guide could be better about. Overall, this is a good choice for an AIO cooler. Enermax should just provide a better install guide and different screws for the brackets.Anonymous

This is my first full system build (vs upgrade) for ten years. It's also my first liquid cooler install. Here are some of my findings and tips in random order. The kit contains extra parts (for other CPUs e.g. AMD) and extra of some parts (screws, washers) For example in the single fan kit there are screws for two fans. Install the motherboard bracket, then install the motherboard. Be sure to install parts and attach wire connections that might be blocked by the radiator/fan or cooling hoses. The plastic washers fit on the CPU block bolts after the bolts are inserted into the brackets. This loosely holds the bolts to the bracket. The black plastic standoffs fit on the bolts on the top side of the motherboard. They are not symmetrical! In one direction they will grip the bolt, in the other they will slide off. The grip is just enough to hold the bolts until the CPU block can be installed. Install the fan/radiator before the CPU block. Install the fan to the radiator with the air flow going into it (and out of case). The fan is marked with an arrow to indicate direction. The radiator is not symmetrical so may not fit in all four orientations. A little dry fitting will show you what orientation will work best given the stiffness of the coolant tubes. It will also show how to orient the fan so the power cord exits the the bottom. Install the CPU block last.Robert T.

I've had this AIO for about two weeks now and I am incredibly impressed. I have athe fractal C meshify case that I put this bad boy in. The one downside with this AIO ( Its actually a downside about the case and not the AIO itself ) in the Meshify case is that you can only mount the fans on the radiator in a pull configuration. The spacing in the front on the meshify case between the filter and actual AIO mounting can only give clearance to "slim fans" ones that are 15 mm. So anyone who has a fractal c meshify case be warned that unless you want to buy different fans altogether , you'll be forced to mount in a pull orientation for front mounting ,which is definetly not the end of the world. You could also Go push – pull by adding more fans to the front part as well but that would be legit overkill. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 ( I built my PC right before Covid hit thank God.) and after I installed and played cyber punk the first time, I noticed my cpu temps were almost hitting 90 degrees celcious and would average 85 . I know that Ryzen cpu run hot but cmon. I had the stock cooler that came with the PC. So I went and grabbed this AIO and swapped them out. I did notice that the thermal paste on my old cooler was very degraded and I could definetly blame a part of the thermals on redoing the thermal paste alone. After I installed this new AIO my temps went from 85 C on avergae to 45 on average while playing cyberpunk. My settings were on a mix of ultra and high with RTX off( I have a 2060 super GPU). ON idle my cpu averages 35 -40 C. I couldnt believe the massive thermal drop. TL DR. Noticed up to 50 degree celcius drop from 90 C down to 40C Can only mount in a pull orientation on Fractal C Meshify for front mounting.\ MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FACTORY MOTHERBOARD CPU BACKPLATE FOR AM4 INSTALLATION OR YOU WILL BE SAD Super easy installation Has updated brackets for AM4 Installation No pump wine or noise especially with hoses mounted upwards Fans are not loud under load. Check to make sure this thing fits, it replaced a 240mm setup that burned out from a prebuild system after a year and this of course is a fair bit larger. I lucked out and it fits but I went in to buy a 240mm verison but they were out. Best Buy has a great return policy so I risked the triple fan setup and it worked. I also noticed the RGB Commander Module actually fixed what was a poor boot speed. It would hang in POST for around 30 seconds and I never did figure out why, as the system is a 11700KF, 48 gigs RAM, NVME HD. Once this was installed the computer boots up instantaneously. The other RGB Command Module for the other water cooler fan setup must have been garbage. This was a great bonus. I have stress tested this cooler using CPU-Z and it wont go past 60C. This is a great improvement over the smaller generic 240mm cooler that it replaced.Reign

I paired the iCUE H150i Elite CAPELLIX CPU Cooler with the iCUE 5000x RGB tempered glass case and some additional iCUE 120 RGB fans in a new build. Installation was a breeze, no pun intended. It took about 5 minutes to install this AIO, you will spend a bit more time wiring all the fans to the controller. You can mount the fans on the front or back of the radiator depending on your individual setup. Once booted up everything syncs up easily within the iCUE software and there are many customization options. The black pump faceplate can be removed and changed out with the included white plate or you can replace with the iCUE ELITE CPU Cooler LCD Display Upgrade Kit. I ended up doing this and it was very easy! My PC and CPU have been running cool even when pushed to the edge. I would highly recommend this cooler as well as any of the other Corsair iCUE products.Realtucker

This Aio is good but most seem defective. it’s hard to understand on how to put on the motherboard and lacks power most times a when plugged in. I don’t recommend just go with a Corsair or a double fan of nzxt.Aaron

Avoid this unit, the pump is in the rad and mine was prone to overheating constantly. When I replaced it I opened the head unit and the copper plate was corroded and gunked up. MZXT might have improved QC on these but it is still an inefficient unit. Better to go for a decent air cooler or a 240 instead.Baaaaakaa

First i installed, pump worked fine but no lighting at all, so i bought NZXT RGB controller, doesn’t even recognise the device in NZXT CAM (everything is plugged in right) so the pump is stuck on the colour white.No from me

Excellent product even if it is running a 5th gen Asetek pump. Requires EVGA cooling software to enable full functionality, otherwise the pump runs at max. Overall, I am happy with the temps on my 3950x with this cooler and I was able to choke down the EVGA Flow control software. However, I could not bear the sound of the fans. I am not a quiet computer person. Friends commented that my last build sounded like a vacuum cleaner and i did not notice. However, the fans on this cooler had a particular pitch, especially on max speed, that forced me to consider return. In the end, I stayed with the cooler and bought 4-pin Noctuas.John P.

This is one of the best aio out there. You get brackets for both AMD and intel, the instal is pretty straight forward and the software is pretty user friendly. It allows for customization for solid colors to match your color theme and has different color patterns if you want to be flashy I have mine set for temps for both my gpu and cpu so I don’t have to rely on other software. It keeps my cpu pretty cool even when I play for long periods of time. In the weekends I play for up to five hours and have no issues. All in all great productNoobskillz

Have this cooling a 9900k. Had a Noctua nh-d15 before but it wouldn’t clear the Inwin 303 case I had it in so decided to pick this up while switching to a Cooler Master td500 mesh case. Does a pretty good job, cools a bit better than the Noctua, but keep in mind the nh-d15 is huge! This is neater looking over the d15 and has rgb. My 9900k is oc @ 5.0 ghz and the x73 keeps helps cpu idle around 30C, during gaming loads between 25-50% usage it stays 50C, during loads higher 50-75% usage like star citizen it’ll keep it under 60C, and during 100% usage like Cinebench or video rendering it stays under 70C. Unfortunately the Aer 120 fans included, though great static pressure and airflow, are loud even around 50% speed. Will be switching them out for the Noctua nf-a12 next chance I get.DuckSaysQuack

After downsizing to a 14L case, I needed to change coolers as my EVGA Liquid cooler was simply to big – I thought it would only be appropriate to go back to the brand that kept my I7-7700k cool when I first got into computers – I found myself walking out of pbtech with a lovely purple box in hand and this cooler inside. I was impressed with how straightforward packaging was and furthermore how simple it was to install the cooler. Brands like Cooler Master make RGB feel more like a hassle rather than an accent, but NZXT is one of those brands that has it nailed, and despite the lighting being proprietary, I found myself enamored with how easy it was to get everything wired up and working on the first try. My cpu has never been cooler and the RGb has brought a much needed pop of color to my build – reminding me why NZXT is such a great cooler manufacturer! 10/10!!TrentH7

Aesthetically it's awesome, a bit gimicky but I love it! Easy enough to install, I would note the following: It has heat sink compound already on and works a treat, just give your processor a good wipe before clamping the fan. 2 x 140mm fans on the radiator work well enough, my I5 5600 doesn't rise above 40 degrees C. Check you have an extra USB pin set on your mobo, if not you will want an extension kit. The photos of the product show the pipes set at the top of the cooler, however, it's strongly advised that these be set at the bottom of the cooler due to air bubbles. Plenty of vids online for clarifications. The CAM app works well, no problems as of yet. As I say, looks great and is keeping my CPU cool, very happy!Jase B

It's worth mentioning that I got this open box, and I also had a $50 reward. So this cost me $150, not $250. Take with that what you will. If you can get something similar or stomach the $250, proceed. I am absolutely blown away by the performance. Coming from my stock Ryzen Wraith Prism it is night and day! With the wraith cooler in my NZXT H510 Elite Case (not the best airflow) my CPU temps could reach up to 85 during intense gaming. With this, I hardly cracked 70. After undervolting my CPU I now sit between 53-63 during intense gaming. It is absolutely wonderful. My office also gets less hot with less hot air moving around. Noise. This thing is QUIET! After adjusting the fan curve, the noise profile is surprisingly low. Now, the most important thing. The screen. Pictures do not do it justice. It is incredibly vibrant and sharp. The infographic is super useful, and what I typically have displayed. Although, I have a library of silly gifs that get thrown on too. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants fantastic cooling, and also wants the freedom to display whatever information or buffoonery that they so please.kabrokwah

I was skeptical at first because if the price tag and the LCD on the water block. The purpose of a CPU water cooler is to cool your CPU but quietly. And it does just that. At first I thought I was just paying for the gimmicky LCD water block but I was wrong. My oVerclocked Intel 9900k temps stay well under 65 degrees under load while playing Cyberpunk 2077 on a O.C.Ed RTX 3080. Then I stressed test my CPU for 15 full minutes @5Ghz all cores and it never went over 70 degree. So that right there tells me that the cooler does it job very well. Now for the LCD. At first I thought it was just a temp monitor. But I was very impressed and surprised to find out that it’s much much more than that. It can do many more things. For instance you can have a dual GPU/CPU monitor and you can customize just about all the colors. Then if that alone wasn’t cool enough, you could upload GIFS. Although there is a limit on the size of the GIF, I was able to upload a bigger one. To see something animated on a water block makes your computer build stand out! Using this to cool a 9700k that was originally in a hp Omen case. Moved over all the good bits to a h500m case and Z390 Aorus Ultra motherboard. Decided to go big on cooling instead of trying to see what the original Omen water cooler could do in a big case. Top mounted, with fans in push exhaust config, tubes coming down in front, and used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut in "X" application method. Temps in the Omen case on old cooler were mid 40s C idle/85+ gaming load. With the ml360r in this chassis, running at 4.7 all core without overclock idle in the mid 20s C/~44 gaming load. Fans running in Standard mode, pump at full. Completely silent. YMMV. Cooler Master warns that some gurgling from the pump can occur when first used, but I never heard a thing. Plan how you want your fans mounted before doing anything so that wire management isn't too much of an issue later. And bring a friend. Takes at least 4 hands to get this thing mounted right without cursing like a sailor. 6 hands is ideal. Use breathing exercises when wiring the ARGB controller to maintain your chill. Those 3 pin headers can be aggravating. Thanks to the included splitter and multiple headers on the included controller module, I decided to take out the module that came with the case and run all the ARGB through the one that came with the cooler. Even works with an 8pin Lian-Li strimer (24pin strimer with controller was out of stock) Now I just need to replace the blower fan on my gpu with a water block.Malthian

As a person who dabbles in addressable leds all around my house, the controller and functionality of the fan are a joke. On the box it says that the lighting it compatible with most motherboard lighting programs. What it means is that they will act like a 5V addressable led strip. In this kit you only receive the large lighting controller. The small controller that comes with the fans is useless. The larger controller has some functionality but even it has it's downfall. Also i couldn't find anywhere that either of the controllers where sold separately in the situation you would need an extra or one failed. Inside the cooler master software for the larger controller, there were more options for customization. and the ability to change each port to do their own thing. However there are 4 ports and if you had the 360 aio there wouldn't be enough ports if you were to add just one more argb fan without the splitter. And having the fans doing their own thing is kind of the point which they can't do once the splitter is introduced. As soon as you wanted to use one of the motherboard lighting programs the ability to customize any of the four ports on the large controller is lost and basically becomes a pass through splitter. The only way i was able to figure out how these "worked" was scouring the internet and youtube for videos that took the time to go through the steps to figure all this out. This is really frustration because the Asus Aura ecosystem (and probably most major manufacturers) has done a great job with the ability to customize their motherboards, GPUs, and memory to allow these smaller companies to smack a label that says "compatible with" when in fact they aren't. I got this cooler as a replacement to one that I simply couldn't stand after only a couple weeks of ownership. Overall I am much more satisfied with this particular purchase than I was with the previous. Cooling performance is what you would expect from a 360mm all-in-one cooler. The setup was different from most other AIO for AM4 as it utilizes the pre-installed brackets to latch onto whereas others you have to remove those and put special standoff screws in. I should say that setup is simple until you try to configure the RGB. The problem is the included hardware controller. This is where things get a little tricky to explain. First off, the instructions on how to properly configure the RGB are garbage. They are just a few pictures with minimal words. No explanations, no common troubleshooting steps at the end. Nothing. The way it is supposed to work is you hook your fans into the 5v RGB splitter then plug everything into the controller. There are 12v and 5v motherboard RGB inputs on the controller, and you should likely use the 5v, however this is where I had the problem. Even with the USB connected to a USB 2.0 header on the motherboard and all other connections made Cooler Master's software would not detect the controller to allow me to set it into motherboard mode. In the end I removed the controller completely and just plugged the fans and RGB on the CPU block into the 5-way 5v splitter and plugged that directly into my motherboards 5v addl_header port. Motherboard control of the RGB is a complete success this way. If you are planning on using a motherboard with a supported RGB solution save yourself the headache and just plug the fans and block directly into the motherboards add_header or whatever your motherboard calls it. Thermally things are pretty good. My Ryzen 7 3700X on an Asus Crosshair VII Hero handles a 4.35GHz overclock at 1.36250V getting up to 78ºC during Cinebench R20 and averaging around 79.2ºC during a 30GB Handbrake mkv to mp4 super high quality 1080p/30 encode in a room that has an ambient temperature of around 22ºC. This cooler has been able to handle just about anything I throw at it. I would definitely buy this cooler again if I weren't upgrading my entire rig and running a custom loop.
