I gave it 5 stars because the value is great. I payed $636.00 new from academy sports. It’s better than every kayak on the market. It’s strong and water proof, fishes two people with plenty of room for extras. High weight capacity. Pelican can do better: 1 piece 12 foot boat Forged Ram X four times the thickness, widen the hull, extend and make flush the front water contact areas. include a carpeted floor, lighten the boat using spray in foam for buoyancy. Include hull protectors, and pelican decals with updated logo. How about calling the boat something that makes sense, Pelican Bass Raider 12X. Storage compartments, coolers, live wells, rails, rod holders, elaborate carbon fiber reinforced hull and motor mount design, integrated remote controlled trolling motor, with options from the factory! Comfortable, adjustable noise free seats. Your customers like to customize these types of vessels. Give them options to choose from the factory! The 10e is a good boat but it’s not good enough. It’s not near good enough, you pry won’t negotiate wider more efficient pickup beds to keep that luxury without sacrificing the increased size capacities. I bought this boat 4 months ago. Super stable and easy to maneuver. I've had 2 people and too much gear and we both were swiveling around and sliding chairs for ideal comfort. Chairs have pockets to put maps,, flare gun,, bug spray,, flashlights, etc….. The modifications are only limited to your imagination. Lots of on-line groups. This boat is difficult to locate because it's popularity has skyrocketed. Tournaments with just these boats are being formed. I put a Motirglide 3xi on mine so fabricated a small deck in front. Slips through the water quiet and smooth. Lite weight so one person can unload. I suggest a padding for the floor in case you enjoy barefooting it.Pelican Commander

well the price is good , i had the boat sins a year know. lets see , i will say the good thing first then the things i think need improve . well first of all this boat got some space , woow i love the space it have i can now fit a cooler in the back ouh i can fit all my gear at the back no problems, cooler fishing lures and fishing gear + a small continuer with some things in it like light ad list goos on an on , then the factory fishing rood holder one of the best things about it , the handle is helpful. the siting positions is not that bad but you need something to set on it if you stay a long time in the boat. good thing that it coms with to motor mount , the material got some advantage and dis advancing .. it's though but it's hard to stick something on it or to modify . NOW LITS SEE BAD THINGS , no drain plugs so if you ben to some high waters you will have some hard time , the boat is not stabile as i wanted but some foam in the sides fixed it 50% , the sets had no back support 🙁 . i would love to have 3 person in it ,, come on it's a 12 foot , but the thing is when the 3 person set the boat be come front heavy so waves gets in . so i would love to see this thing fixed , amm the max lode you can have in is 190 kg , i had a 8 foot and it got the same max lode !! last ting this thing is heavy so don't think that you can lode it on a car by your self.. do i recommend it? well yes i do but if you only can live with the dis advantage by the way this boat is a good boat to modify be your own , EXTRA INFO. i use this boat with a 2.5 mercury and the fastest i got with 2 person on board is 6 or 7 KM/H lights are addable if thy work by batteries ( using bicycles lights green and red) floor is not confortabil to set on so get something to bot behind your back and under you , this way you will stay longer in the sea , good way to add to the confortabil level is to install cop holder. My Outlaw 11.5 Fishing kayak is a great purchase and a great price. Its not a fast paddle but a very stable fishing kayak that tracks well. Plenty of room to mod out and still stand and set the hook. I seldom give 5 stars unless I have been using the product long enough to be that enthusiastic. However, I only purchased my boat a month ago and have only assembled and disassembled it. It will be spring before it hits the water. From what I can tell, it appears to be well made, and the components are of good quality. Pumping the boat up with the foot pump would be brutal. The foot pump really should be considered a backup incase your electric inflator isn't working. I found my Milwaukee junior leaf blower works excellent, extremely fast fill, but it won't deliver full recommended pressure. But sitting in the sun will probably finish the job. Really looking forward to putting it on the water. I think it will do everything the manufacturer claims it will.timd1111

Boat seemed to be of good quality except the floor is very thin and i rubbed 6 holes in it on a floating trip down the river and took on water. Few other friends that came with had cheap bimart rafts and not one problem. This boat is meant for lakes or high bodys of water it is not a raft for a river adventure like stated in there description. For the price it should be better quality.jeffcamaro1967

So far so good, unfortunately it was a family Christmas gift so it has just been sitting since purchased. Got it all put together Christmas eve and never seen my son so excited when he saw the paddles sitting by the tree Christmas morning. We are excited to get it out on the water!! Only concern is that one of the cubby hole areas latch may be a little striped. I have not reached out yet to see if there may be an easy fix. I do have one question, if someone could contact me, There were some loose screws included that I cant seem to find where they may go. Thinking they may have just been extras. We purchased the BKC TK122 Angler 12-foot, 8 inch Tandem 2 or 3 Person Sit On Top Fishing Kayak w/ Upright Aluminum Frame Seats. One of the reasons that we selected this kayak is for the carrying weight (up to 750lbs). We wanted to be able to pack it up and camp overnight on fishing trips. The kayak has been great with sufficient areas for camping gear, water and food. It paddles well and is easy to control. Usually, my boy was fly fishing in the front seat and I was able to direct the kayak well so that he could hit holes with his casting. The upright seats are comfy also, with good leg room. We floated sections of the Big Hole River in Montana, and a section of the Upper Missouri, in Montana. One caveat: this kayak is not for white water. It is for slow rivers and lakes. We hit one white water section and had to bail out water in the middle before finishing the section of river. The sides are low. But for a slow water fishing/camping kayak, it is great. We will get a lot of use out of it.Steve M
An absolute workhorse. I purchased this boat for two reasons. First to be able to bring my 75lbs dog out on the water with me. My dog, Lou, goes everywhere with me, but my other kayak didn’t work for us. Second, I kayak camp and have cot tents (35lbs each), so I needed a boat that can handle some gear. This boat is great for both those reasons. Lou rides comfortably up front while I easily paddle from the rear. First kayak camp was on the Missouri River. I carried about 200lbs of gear. Water was low, so lots of obstacles to navigate and I was able to maneuver this boat with no problem. Day two got hairy with 20-25mph head winds that caused white caps coming at us. This boat was amazing. It handled everything the river threw at us. It performed better than I could have imagined. The padded seats are awful, but that was an easy fix. Perfect for in car trunk, allows me to fish deeper waters easily without lugging a canoe or kayak through a small trail, and doesnt involve waders and fins that a float-tube requires. The only complaints about the product would be the same that others have said, the paddles are sorta weak for how hefty they are, and the way it was folded in the package at the factory caused some creases in the vinyl that seem to have stayed even after two inflations. My hope is that these dont turn into stress point holes in the future, but if it does the low pressure needed to inflate this boat allows for easy sturdy repairs.janoca2
The included pump is more efficient than it appears. 9yr old and 6yr olds managed to do some inflating, which didn't take too long. The valve inserts allow the dinghy to be deflated pretty quickly for shoving into the boot of the car. So far it has given great pleasure this hot summer. I guess we are very fortunate to live by some lovely sandy beaches which make continuous use of the dinghy rather easy. We have added a sturdy rope to the bow end which is used for towing the girls along in the sea. No rowing in earnest has yet been attempted! We also take the garden spade to the beach (it builds bigger sand castles and deeper moats!) to drive into the sand, with rope attached to stop the dinghy blowing out to sea. It's easily done folks. This boat set is tremendous value, and we find the quality of the boat and accessories is amazing for the cost. We have used the boat 3 times, and it takes us no time now to have it inflated and in the water. Some other reviewers railed against the included air pump, but I cannot understand why as it inflates the boat quickly and efficiently. In fact, friends of ours who went on an annual floatdown had brought a fancy bike pump with them, but found our inexpensive little pump to be far more efficient at inflating their boat. The oars are similarly sturdy, and have worked well as I have had to paddle the boat extensively on our 3 trips. Quality is superb. Having a lot of fun and catching some fish. Its a little time consuming to assemble but this seems to improve with practice. Quite a few pieces to work with but they all work well together. Standing up is a quiet water activity only and maybe for somebody quite a bit younger. Love this boat though. Beats messing with a trailer and launch ramp.

Want to know how rigid this thing gets at 15PSI? Take one of your car tires off, lay it down and stand on it. You absolutely need the electric pump or it will take forever to blow it up to 15PSI. Re: the electric pump. It shuts off automatically at 15PSI. It's a God-send. Every time I take it out, people want to know what it is. Punctures? You'd have to try hard to puncture this thing. I weigh 185. I sat on the side of it and shifted my weight up & down trying to tip it over. Nope!

Well, I have only taken the boat out once and it performed well. It is easy to row. My only concern is that I left the boat inflated for a few days, and the right side seems to lose a little bit of air (of course this over 48 hours). The left side has not lost any air and is still firm. I find this to be a bit peculiar as one one would think both sides should lose a little air over time equally. The right side still retains most of the air and as long it is not losing air dramatically, then I'm okay with this.crazyfisherking

I bought this on the recommendation of my buddy. I was so happy with it right out of the box. The assembly directions were tedious at first but I thought I would follow them to the letter being 1st time setup, after that it takes about 15 min to setup up, inflate mount electronics and gear and hit the water. My maiden voyage was on the Wisconsin river (mazzomanie area) for a two day overnight sandbar camping trip. I rarely talked to my fellow paddlers because I was playing in my new boat. It tracked beautifully in 5MPH or so current, hugged the banks I was fishing wonderfully and was comfortable enough to catch a nap in when we did the lazy river style floating tied together. (weekends catch was a 33.5" PIKE!!!) I have taken it out on big water and it was more difficult because it was a high wind day lots of chop. Thought I would have been worried but I wanted to punish it to see how much is too much to go out in. Once the anchor was down I was able to fish for walleyes for a few hours till I got tired. this up coming season I plan on taking it out onto Lake Michigan for King and Coho salmonFishingWookiee
I am very happy with my purchase. The assembly was fairly straightforward and excellent quality. On the minus side, it is a fairly heavy item and somewhat awkward to transport. On the plus side, it disassembles easily and I have found that it is best to transport in the back of my SUV rather than on top. I fished with a friend of mine on the upper Mississippi and was very comfortable and stable. My friend was using a kayak and although he was much more nimble that me ended up tipping over and losing a lot of gear. You would have to try on purpose to end up in trouble in the pontoon and I find it to be very safe and easy to fish from. The boat is incredible. I took it out on the water and it’s incredible. Super sturdy and fun to use. Was able to get anywhere within minutes using a 9.9 mercury. This boat was purchase knowing there were leaks in the boat. Have been able to find and patch most. This model also has inherent leaks around the valves which are much harder to isolate. All in all, the boat package was a great deal and is fun on our small lake. We bring a pump with us to top off the chambers once in a while. Need to use patches of same material for long term repair.jlomba123
We've had it out at least 10, maybe 15 times in the 3 months we've had it. It is assembles easily (within 10 minutes) and it holds up well. We've never had any problems at all with it. We love it. It is much sturdier than I expected for the $200 price. I expect that it'll last for years. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone, though I don't actually think it would comfortably hold 4 adults. Maybe two adults and two kids but not 4 adults. Other than the size, which I don't find a problem personally, I can't say anything at all bad about about it.Angela
