Reviews:
Very good, and well written. Dr Jeremiah is right on these prophecies. I've studied the Bible and most of these were not new, but he reinforced that which I know and increase my knowledge of the difference signs. Whether you believe in the bible or not this book is a good read for anyone. You need to know the warning signs. I always said that as a Christian We know the beginning (Genesis) and we know the end (Revelations) It's the middle part we are unsure of and Dr David Jeremiah helps fill in some of those gaps for you.Keith K.

8. The Next Apocalypse: The Art And Science Of Survival [Book]

Product Details:
"in an age of pandemics, climate change, and political unrest, you don't have to be a prepper to worry about the future or to wonder how you can prepare for it. many of us conjure up images of a post-apocalyptic world where life is simple, our needs and goals clear. drawing on three decades of archeological and anthropological research on civilizations as diverse as the maya, the roman empire, and the angor watt, begley shows that apocalypses hardly ever result in the disappearance of an entire population. the collapse of the maya civilization in the thirteenth century is a case in point. though the maya left behind a great many vacated cities and complexes, the people survived. in fact, there are still five million maya alive today. such migration is one of the hallmarks of the apocalypse that begley envisions. planning for the apocalypse isn't simply about learning how to find food and water or to start a fire. those skills won't hurt. and that begins with helping others. combining the experiences, insights, and acumen of an adventurer with the scholarly perspectives of an archeologist and anthropologist, begley transforms our understanding of the fall of civilizations and challenges us to build a future rooted in empathy, humanity, and a commitment to the common good"–

11. The Apocalypse Now Book [Book]

Product Details:
The making of francis ford coppola's epic, based on unprecedented access to his private archivesthe movie took years to be filmed and edited, and was the subject of endless stories, rumors, and speculation. at a screening at cannes in may 1979, francis ford coppola said simply, "there wasn't a truthful thing written about [the film] in four years." that year at cannes, apocalypse now won the palme d'or, going on from there to worldwide acclaim and etching itself in the memories of audiences with unforgettable sequences like the dawn helicopter attack scored to wagner's "ride of the valkyries" or lt. colonel kilgore's chilling "i love the smell of napalm in the morning." here, generously illustrated with evocative stills from the film and revealing photographs from the set, is the story behind the movie where vietnam met joseph conrad's heart of darkness. it is the extraordinary saga of coppola and his crew and actors-who included marlon brando, robert duvall, harvey keitel, martin sheen, dennis hopper, and harrison ford–battling hurricanes in the jungles of the philippines, the calamity of a lead actor's heart attack, and crises both psychological and financial . . . in the end giving rise to a modern film classic.
Reviews:
A great book that talks about the making of a great moviewatchersoftheskys1972
If you're a fan of Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece "Apocalypse Now", this is a must-have book. Packed with great behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the film, this book by Peter Cowie goes in depth about the making of Coppola's Vietnam epic. We learn firsthand about the difficulties involved in making such a monumental film, including the lead actor Martin Sheen suffering a heart attack, hurricanes and other weather delays, an unexpectedly overweight Marlon Brando showing up on the set, Coppola's struggles to find deep meaning and recurring themes for the movie, casting problems including replacing Harvey Keitel as Willard…this is an incredible book you'll want to treasure. Highly recommended~!mr.groovyman62

Reviews:
I thought it was a unique interpretation of Revelation, like a story rather than a presentation of information. Although it was backed up with Scripture throughout the book, there were a couple parts that didn't hold true to Scripture. There is some confusion on the author's part as to how every eye will be able to at once see the coming of Christ and, in fact, the storyline includes some people whose eyes did NOT behold the sight. That is not accurate. God does not need the help of technology to make all eyes see at once, He can put everyone in the spirit or even in the location physically if that is what He wants to do. Or as the author suggested, He could bend light so that an event on one side of the world can be seen simultaneously from any other point on earth. I really liked how the book used a story, like a movie script, to help me visualize and understand some of the more confusing symbolic aspects of Revelation.Susanne
