I bought this as a gift for someone and I was disappointed to see that the colors of the sand are very plain and nothing like shown in the online photos. The sand is basically just gray and white, with a tiny bit of gold. The pics on the website show purple and blue hues, which I think would be perfect for this "deep sea" sandscape. I wish the sand I got had the colors as shown in pics. Another issue are the two very obvious, unattractive seams in the round plastic frame. There is a bit of a gap in the seams where the frame was joined in two places, there's even a trace of glue seeping through the seams. Poor quality-control? I'm having second thoughts about presenting it as a gift because of the above-mentioned issues.Hunter

I bought two Crayola sets for my daughters, and one of them is disappointed by the color selection of her small markers compared to her sister. She does not have a true red, orange blue, or purple. She got a lot of muted secondary tone markers instead. Her sister’s kit had every color of the rainbow and then some. I don’t understand why the colors in the sets are not consistent. Bought for my 7yr old son to explore his creativity in art…but.. this fell way short of what it should be as a starter Art kit. The easel is very flimsy, and the clamp at the top is very weak at holding on to any papers, as it's too fiddly, and not a wide enough clamp to grip properly… I had to use large bulldog clips at either side!… ASLO, the 'canvas' base board for holding the papers…. WHY is this a canvas at all, and not just a proper solid backboard??.. It's not like we're going to actually paint on this canvas… as then it'll be used and binned… then nothin to support any papers!! Really, really bad design, or lack of forethought!! There is no BLUE paint colour!!.. why is this??..as this is one of the BASIC PRIME colours in which to mix with others. How are we supposed to paint the sky, sea, etc??! Once the pencil sets are unwrapped out of their cellophane, then put back in their original slots, they have no 'grip' now, so when you fold the case to close it, they fall out all over the place! The amount of times we had to make corrections tells it's own story… that this was poorly thought out… more of a rush job… and we're now seeking stronger, and better equipped kits BEFORE we buy.Vincent

Grabbed this as a good art-time set for my kids. We played with this last weekend for the first time and opened it on the table for my kids (7 and 10) to both have some creative time. It's a large, heavy set, and it expands once open and has a lot of different art supplies – markers, watercolors, paint, pastels, and colored pencils. We put some paper down on each side and the kids were able to easily pick and choose what they wanted to use and there was enough in there it was easy for them to share. I liked this Crayola Inspiration Art Case – it has a good mix of crayons, markers, and pencils. Crayola is obviously the well-known brand and is worth it over cheaper no name products. This set comes in a substantially strong and thick box. I think this will make gives feel like you are giving them something really nice and I think a artist kid would use this as their standard/first little art box and would want to refill it. The colors included are relatively standard and are not to wild/neon/etc. Good buy at under $20. I am writing this review as part of an employee review event.EReviewer
I ordered the Crayola Inspiration Art Case for my daughter because it was her most wanted gift for Christmas. Shipping was super FAST and it is an awesome case from a trusted brand. However, I ordered a set that included 140 pieces, because it is the one she specifically chose and the one I received ONLY includes 115 pieces 🙁 After, looking at other reviews I see that this happened to other people too.. I have no idea how to get the larger 140 piece set because prior to my order, I had my husband order the 140 piece set from his account as a pick up order and he received the same 115 piece set as well. Now I have placed an order for the Crayola ULTRA smART case, but it is considerably more expensive and i’m not sure if it will make it before Christmas. I have several health issues that leave me susceptible to picking up colds/viruses and l have chronically fatigue, so I dread having to go in the store and endure the return process with Walmart for the two 115 piece Art cases that we received that weren’t what we ordered…not to mention we don’t live super close to a Walmart, so that’s extra time and gas.Smiley

The crayola delux wooden art set is amazing. It looks like a very professional high priced art kit. It comes with so much art supplies. The crayons are smooth and easy to use for smudging the eraser is shaped to perfectly fit in your fingers. We got this set for my 8 year old son. We wanted other ways to keep him busy and entertained. This is just perfect. He loves to color and this set has everything he needs. He enjoyed every part of it and everything has been used already. He has painted and colored and just had so much fun being creative with this. He even made his great grandmother a picture for her birthday. this set is perfect and comes with everything he needs to create. We love the case and it keeps everything all nice and neat and in one spot. He can easily carry it around and take it from room to room if he wants to. This was the perfect set and it has so much in it so he has a ton to work with. He went through the paper on the first day but we have plenty of plain printer paper for him to use.
