This is a great binding machine. I was able to use it right out of the box. The machine has the instructions right on the base which is very helpful. You can pick and choose which holes you want to use by just pulling buttons, so simple. Perfect for beginners and experienced crafters. Can punch quite a few sheets are paper/cardstock/chipboard at one time. Convenient hooks to hold the binding wire so you can place the punched pages immediately on the wire. This machine uses wire that is a 2:1 pitch. The wire does not have to be WeR wire, but it does have to be 2:1. The only drawback is the paper stop on the pullout guide could be a bit longer to help hold the paper exactly straight, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker when you consider purchasing this product.CL

This is an excellent information book for the curious and for bookbinder beginners. It gives a very good overview of many of the basics of bookbinding and book conservation, with excellent color photos. The color photos are great as the dozen or so bookbinding books that I am familiar with, have hand sketches or not so great black and white photos. The kit looks good. I just received it. It took an incredible amount of time to arrive. I ordered it march 28 and it arrived June 5th. Things being as they are with the pandemic I would expect that there would be delays but it didn't even leave the shop until may 27th. When I messaged about the delays I was ignored. It wasn't until my third attempt that I got response. I'm willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt but I truly thought I was going to get ripped off and almost canceled my order. I would give it 5 stars had there been better communication from the store owner. If it is going to take a month to get an order together let the person who gave you their money know. This Fellows Comb Binding Machine is one of the oldest forms of binding know to Americans that is still being used today. In our low-tech operation it works fine to bind documents up to the size of the combs you purchase. In this case the capacity is 300 sheets and therefore, more than adequate for our uses. Our only problem is that the learning curve, while not steep in terms of learning what to do, but rather in actually doing it according to plan. Each size comb requires a slightly different pressure applied to the comb and sometimes the combs don't always connect. Otherwise, it seems like a good machine.ROGER

I was skeptical at first in getting this machine (mostly because it is on the high end in comparison to others online; although, it's not as steep as bulkier ones go for), but after a whole day of use (non-stop) for my home office, it's come through! It's not too bulky, I like the folding mechanism for putting it away and it cuts and binds really smoothly. So far, I'd recommend this product for a small or home office. Will come back and review durability in the next few weeks!lauriev

This was so easy to begin using right out of the box. Barely had to read directions! I'm generally impatient when it comes to learning and using new office support machines, but this one took just a few minutes to figure out. It does everything it is supposed to do. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars to punch capacity is because I found I had to use fewer sheets than recommended to get a perfect result. Sometimes the sheets of paper don't want to fit snugly down into the punch slot on the left hand side. I wasted several sheets of paper till I found out I had to be VERY careful about making sure they were all the way down. Otherwise, EXCELLENT all the way across-the-board.MagicalEnergy
