20 Best Book On Evernote (2023 Update)

It "kind of" works. The included pen did not want to write very well, so I tried pressing down harder on the pen and ended up damaging part of one page in the notebook before I realized I needed to write with a light touch on the special pages in the Fusion notebook. Luckily I had purchased an extra set of Frixion pens to use with the notebook. The scans look "okay" and uploaded as PDF files to OneNote with no problem. However, when I tried writing in different colors, the scans rendered all of my writing on the page in black ink. I'm going to keep the notebook (mainly because I don't think it is returnable) and may use it now and then, but considering the amount of use I'll actually get out of it the price is way too expensive. A better option would be to get a tablet computer with digital pen capabilities and just write directly on the screen. I won't be buying any of these products again and do not recommend anyone else purchase them either.John

I'm of the age where I am technologically advanced, but certain things I still like the tangible, books, calenders, notepads. I thought the RocketBook Notebook would be perfect for me. NOT. 1) It is a little light on instruction, which will not be hard to figure out for the more tech inclined, but it did pose a problem or two not so Tech inclined people a varying degrees. One could not figure it out at all and after a lot of frustration and a Little help From me one was able to get it. 2) Perhaps, if sketching & drawing this ultra fine pen would come in handy, otherwise it makes your writing look like chicken scratch. It is not comfortable and while you still can read your writing it makes it a little harder to read. However, it is nice that they include an Implement with the notebook. Hopefully a wider nib is available for purchase in the additional pens that they sell 3) due to the slick nature of the pages and the ink staying wet for some time my words were soon erased by my left-hand as I wrote. A lot of left-handers Hook, which I do not and I still had a major problem. It makes the notebook useless for me unless I spend an undue amount of time trying to drive write very carefully. 4) again the app is not hard to use but it's not as user-friendly as other apps that I have for writing and note taking. I would not recommend this for left-handers. And there are better and easier Alternatives out there for writing, note-taking and drawing for everybody else. Rocketbook Notebook is cumbersome and useless for me.kccollinz

I've seen the Rocketbook pop up for sale from time to time and never really understood what it was. Was it a tablet for notetaking? Does it transmit what you write directly to a file on your PC? I wasn't sure what to expect so when I got it, I was surprised at how basic it was. It's a nice sturdy spiral flip notebook with a strong plastic cover. It has 16 pages inside of a sort of thin plastic material that acts like paper, flips like paper but doesn't tear. It came with a Pilot FriXion Pen that I believe is specially made for this type of paper. It writes just like writing on paper and dries in about 10-15 seconds. You can wipe it off by dampening the cloth it comes with. Now the technological part of it is interesting. You download the Rocketbook app on your phone. Create an account and then it gives you a walk through on how to do several things. It "scans" the page when you hold your phone over it and then you're able to upload that image anywhere you want it to go; an email, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Photos, text it to a friend, etc. It pulls up in my email as a pdf file and looks okay but the picture has odd smudges on it. You are also able to write ##any name## on the page in order for it to automatically name the file whatever you put within the hashtags, for efficiency. You can also create a URL for it and send that to your friends/colleagues. So my final verdict, is, aside from being able to re-use the pages in the Rocketbook, everything it accomplishes can easily be done with a regular paper notebook. You can write in a notebook, snap a picture of whatever you wrote and text it somewhere, email it to someone, send the picture to your Google Drive or Dropbox, or just look at the picture on your phone when you need to. There are countless pdf converters if you need it to be in pdf format. It's kind of cool in a "Save the Trees" type of way, but I honestly think this is just another unnecessary innovation to clutter your life with more places to lose track of important files/information.gilbertgmc

When I've got it first time I liked it's design. But after first use I realized that battery was defective: at first laptop stopped to charge, then it showed status as if it was plugged in and charging but actually the cable was not connected. When I tried to connect ac cable it showed that computer is not plugged in. I removed battery and now it works ok without it. Unfortunately I moved to another country and can't return this item. i have had mine since black friday 2021 and think it is a great work laptop for basic things. my issues with it include the low refresh rate screen that means 60fps max for gaming and video. the lack of thunderbolt ports really bother me, it has 2 ubc cs, 2 ubc 2.1s, ethernet port, hdmi and an aux port. the issue doesn't really bother me but some might not like. the 8gb model's fans are very loud and kick in quite often. i have since upgraded the ram to 16gb and it helps(you can also tweak the fan settings to run on quiet mode but increased temp). i would not recommend this laptop for someone who wants to game on aaa titles but this laptop does as advertised.Tre Lane

the camera goes out period of time and a restart is needed to make it work again. the computer will also randomly disconnect from the internet and take ages to reconnect. i thought it may be my internet connection but this only happens on this laptop. my other devices are not affected by the internet at all and stay connected. this is really inconvenient for someone who is in school or has business meetings that require a camera and an internet connection.Emmie

This is an amazing book! when i found this book it called out to me. it was hard to put down. (it does also have a workbook also) I believe if you have trauma in your life or have someone you care about who has, this is a great read! I came from a home filled with many area's of trauma. Then married into more areas of trauma! Now i work with kids in the system. I was beyond ready to start trying to find way to help understand and fix my past and would help me,to understand and maybe help the kids i work with.Teresa

Finally, here is writing about the history of the PTSD diagnosis and how it came to be. And the compassion and caring that these psychiatrists and therapists and researchers express for their patients/clients is very touching. To me, it's as good a book as "The Road Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck, MD. Easy to read, lots of case histories that actually make sense, and are to the point, and the history of research into causation and the relationship between early childhood trauma, and how the brain adapts in order to "function" after it interprets the trauma. Researchers are actually developing standards for measuring what used to be thought of as "immeasurable". As an accountant and financial analyst, it's the kind of stuff I LOVE!gemsfromjan

The book has a three part thesis, supported by science, case studies and experience. 1. Trauma (violence, abuse) embeds itself in the most primal parts of our brains, 2. changing our bodies’ aches and pains into a document of our psychic distress, 3. and our rational minds “hide” the wounds through shame, convincing us the trauma was our fault. As a curious cat with PTSD, this book answered most questions about “how/why” I wound up so easily spooked. It also offers insight into various healing modalities. I have made many purchase here, and my most recent purchase, 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' was quickly and wonderfully handled. This is by far my favorite from the series. It is a little different from the others which is why i find this a little refreshing, of course another year another Denfence Against the Dark Arts teacher, but this time it is a man who knew Harry's parents and he has a serious secret to hide. Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts once again and this time the castle is surrounded by creatures who are there to suck the happiness from the air and all those around, forcing Harry to live rather horrible memories some of which he didn't know he had. On top of that some one has escaped from Azkaban prisoner and is thought to be wanting to kill Harry and was thought to be the one responsible to get James and Lily dead. This story is one of my favorite because you learn about James and Lily and who their friends were as well as well what they were like, for those who ae fans in this series this is one of the best in the series because it touches your heart more than some of others and you can't help but feel warm seeing harry discover how much like his parent's he truly is.rosalyn.b

This book is a continuation of the Harry Potter series. Harry goes to hogwarts, which is a school for wizards. A criminal is after him because he was falsely blamed for his parents murder. Plot twist, it’s not what you think. It’s such a good read that gives the reader an escape for a few hours.tianna.s

I have just ordered two more copies, after only reading the intro.—and Prof. Peterson's numerous interviews simply expand my own heart. In this climate of high anxiety and appalling lack of compassion, echoed by Hugh MacKay in AUSTRALIA REIMAGINED. It is no wonder that he has an enthralled audience of millions, world- wide. My wish is that Prof. Peterson will produce a primer affirming our children and youth, to give them hope— for our learning young to master before they get to our Uni's. that have to do their own serious reflecting. In my opinion. AND to give our valiant teachers stronger morale and endurance—as so vividly depicted in Gabbie Stroud's TEACHER, also published last year. Finally, the more I devour of the Prof.'s 'Rules' the more I want to yell my rental's roof off , in agreement—our kids CAN be brought up in a far better world, if we follow Jordan's example of such raw courage and exemplary scholarship and teaching. This is the third book I purchase as a gift. Jordan Peterson tells it as it is in how one should behave to be a functional human being in society. This is sadly supposed to be the role of parents but not many parents nurture their kids anymore by teaching them the basic life skills. I've seen so many young people can't keep their own room organised yet trying to solve the world's most complex problem. Let's keep it to basic – stand up straight, make yourself better than who you are yesterday and clean up your room before you try to solve any life's complex problem. You will be more content and happier in life and no longer feeling depressed all the time. Great for both men, women and anyone. I'm a woman who loves this book. An excellent book written with great depth and understanding about living a life. It is necessary to read at least twice to get a more complete picture of what Peterson is on about. Best of all this book made me think deeply about living a life and the ultimate ending of that life. Highly recommended but only to serious readers and certainly not for shallow thinking people.Bob

I am still working my way through it, but am very impressed so far. I have gained some very simple tools I will certainly look to try should the need arise. My daughter is high functioning autistic and unfortunately she is also type one diabetic. Our home has become a bit of a conflict zone, every day. I was sick of the arguments over food, so i was telling my martial arts tutor about it and he recomended this book to me. The book has shown me how to deal with my daughters emotions from the inside, as well as the night time radio voice and listening for cues. This is just like a hostage situation, you have to know what they are thinking. I first encountered PON in 2006 and started reading it then. Once you read this book you can't go back to your old ways of being, well you can but you are not "unaware" any longer so it makes it hard to live in the old way you are used to. I struggled with it as all who start reading do, It plants a seed and with your cooperation it grows. You will struggle with it as all do, some people more then others, then with cooperation, determination and consistency your world changes. You're view points of the world change, the way you deal with challenging people and situations changes. You are now cooperating with life and life is able to now help you. I also found doing around 10 minutes of meditation at the start of my day gets me "dialed in" to practice living in the now all day long. I was a total mess in 2006, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. But it's 2018 and I'm the healthiest I've ever been cause of Echkart Tolle and his books. I'm ontop of the world, and I'm at peace with life, It's down right Awesome! Buy It! It's the best thing you can do for yourself and those around you. Also buy "A New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle and "Miltons Secret" he wrote it for children. Enjoy this book and learn to enjoy life!.usa_emporium

I will preface my review by saying that these type of books are generally very polarizing: either you love it because the message speaks clearly to your heart, or you're compelled to prove it inaccurate because it does not. Having said that, I truly love this book because it has the special ability to always put me in that state of amazement whenever I read it. I have read it beginning to end, but I really use it to help me enter the 'now' by reading just a few passages. For me, it does not matter which passage, I can literally open any page and read a few lines, and I am there. Even thinking about this book relaxes my mind and puts me in that state. For that, I consider it very special. This is probably the 5th or 6th copy I am buying, because I keep giving them away. I don't claim that this is the only book that can do such a thing, but it does for me. I thought with it having a ARM Processor instead of the normal AMD or Intel that there would be compatibility issues with certain programs. So far everything I have wanted to install has had support for ARM hardware including VLC media player. The laptop is well built and feels sturdy in the hand as well as when opening and closing the lid. It's thin and light but has extremely long battery life. 15 plus hours on moderate use. Plenty of ports including two USB-C ports one USB A 2.0 port a micro SD card slot for extra storage, a headphone jack the doubles as a microphone for headsets with built in mic. Samsung did a great job at creating a marvelous piece of technology at an affordable price point highly recommend for students as well as people working from home this is an extremely fast little machine that boots up in an instant has extremely long battery life Great picture on the display and is thinning light and easy to carry. The small thin bezels on the left and right give you optimal viewing experience. The keyboard feels great and has just enough resistance in the keys to type quickly with minimal errors. The touchpad area was really surprising it's extra large and has plenty of space. The machine comes with a dual band Wi-Fi card so you can connect to your 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi channels. Speakers are decent I wouldn't say that's anything to write home about but it's enough to allow you to listen to music and/or TV/Movies as long as you're not in a loud environment. The machine has Bluetooth so you can hook up all of your Bluetooth peripherals whether that be a Bluetooth headset keyboard and mouse whatever the case may be which is probably preferable over the internal speakers. The Galaxy Book Go is a basic laptop, and gets the job done. I've used it for writing posts and reviews to websites, working with small Excel spreadsheets, reading PDFs, web browsing, and the like. It's fine for all these things. The screen is fine. You're not going to be jumping up and down with excitement based on its looks, but it works. The keyboard takes a bit less force than I'm used to for keypresses, and the trackpad works fine. I wish that the keyboard had dedicated page up/down. So what about Windows on ARM? All in all, it is pretty good. Using Edge and Office (OneNote, Excel, a bit of Word) has all gone fine. I've used Discord lightly on this machine, and that's worked fine too. I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of applications natively supporting ARM. PuTTY, WinSCP, and others have had ARM versions. The noteworthy program that didn't have an ARM version was GIMP. I did not want to try x86 GIMP on this machine with only 4gb of RAM. 🙂 I was worried about the RAM size. It's been ok. Windows seems to pretty aggressively manage the memory, and I've never had problems. For example, Edge tabs sleep quite quickly. That said, I'm almost always in the 80-90% range for RAM use. With Discord, Edge (3 sites, 2 pdfs, some sleeping tabs), Your Phone, and Task Manager, I'm using 84% of my RAM. Battery life is very good. I haven't done any real tracking, but I am never worrying about battery. The silent, fanless, design is nice too. The laptop is at most slightly warm, and it's pretty nice to not have to worry about using on a blanket or pillow. Overall, I like this laptop for light use. I wouldn't want to use it all day, but for a couple hours of work where I don't want to be using a tablet, this is a great option with the ability to use a wide variety of applications.HuntingPhoenix

It's lighter than I expected it to be, and it has taken a little getting used to that it is smaller than my previous laptop, but I like that it's compact. It'll make taking it places much easier. I've heard that the Google Chrome browser doesn't work on this laptop, but I was able to download it. I haven't used it too much, I mainly downloaded it to transfer my passwords over to Edge, which doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would, given my disdain for Internet Explorer. There are only two negatives for me, as far as this laptop goes: One: I really would have liked at least one more regular USB port. It only has one. It does have two USB-C ports, but I have a USB hub somewhere, so that isn't a huge deal. Two: I tried pairing my Galaxy Buds to the laptop and it could not find them. It isn't a huge deal as they pair just fine to my Galaxy S10e, but I'd wanted to try using them with my laptop, as I have a trip planned to Washington DC in March, and I wanted to take the laptop to stream on in my hotel room. I wish it had an optic drive, but again, they make USB DVD players, so that isn't a huge deal either. The battery is AMAZING! When I got this home on Thursday, I unpacked it, hooked it up to the charger, set it up, and left it alone to finish charging. It only took about two hours to fully charge, well, that's when I went back to check, I'm sure it was faster than that. As of 12:30, Sunday afternoon as I type this, despite having used this for basic laptop functions, (web-surfing and typing via open office) my battery is at 69%, and it says I still have 6 hours and 46 minutes of battery life left. I have turned it off when I'm not using it. My pervious laptop was a used Acer that I bought on FB marketplace. Even with turning it off when I wasn't using it, I got maybe two hours of unplugged time before I'd have to charge it again. The specs on this boast 18 hours of battery life before it needs to be recharged. I'm very impressed by the battery life so far. For the price, this is a fabulous laptop, and I'm glad that I bought it. I'll be buying one for my teenagers for their birthdays.HeatherE
