Reviews:
Like every other person on BookTok, I was told to read this series. I had fallen out of my love of reading, and was barely reading ten books a year. I blew through this entire series. So much so that I was annoyed with work for having the gaul to make me do my job during reading hours. The twists and the turns in this series are amazing. Is it the best book you've ever read, or the most well written, no. but it's enjoyable as hell.courtney.h
Where do I even start? Well I may be late to the ride, but I finally started to read this series, after seeing it everywhere and do you know what they didn’t lie. This book was incredible, with not just the story of Feyre and what started out as a punishment for her actions, but into a love story where she needed to be strong and save the one she love and all those around her in the different courts. The writing was truly magical, there is something about Sarah who can truly make you imagine what your are reading with her words, the description of the places abs people as well as the emotions, and captivating and engaging. There are so many memorable moments in this book and I am itching to start the next to find out what happens next with them all. I can see why this has been so hyped up and I can’t wait to read more and all Sarah’s other books if they are as incredible as this one!! I highly recommend if you haven’t already!!rebecca.p
So this is a really good book! I was nervous as the reviews on Amazon were not so great. However Acotnr kept showing up on my tik tok account and I was in awe about all the hype so I gave it a chance! Listen to me carefully, ignore all reviews and read it for yourself. If you hate it that’s ok read the second anyways. The first one is just a background and an explanation for the main characters growing. The second one though omg!!! This book is spicy all day long, but isn’t just spice. It’s got an amazing fantasy story line! I read this book in 3 days staying up till 2am to finish it! I was left torn, confused, joyful, in love, ready to tackle my husband into the bed, and wanting more! This series is incredibleanna .p

Reviews:
This is quite possibly the best book I have ever read. I have enjoyed the ACOTAR series so much, and every single book has been filled with so much detail. This book was SO intricate though. I felt like I got to see more of an insight into the characters, and I absolutely loved seeing the development between Feyre and Rhys. Their love story is one that I find myself comparing to every single other book I read. I constantly compare the characters to characters in other books and they never seem to even compare. Sarah does such a wonderful job building the world and the elements for this story. I really felt like I was going to war with them, and I found myself not breathing at some of the parts, just in suspense! Amazing. Altering. Superb. I only have positive thoughts and feelings toward this series.HALEY
4.5 Stars – Originally reviewed on Just Me My Books. Taken back to the Spring Court, Feyre plans to not only get revenge on Tamlin and Ianthe for bringing here sisters into the war against Hybern, but also gather information on Tamlin's association with its King. She plans on bringing down the court from the inside and show the people that Tamlin and his High Priestess cannot be trusted, especially when Tamlin is making deals with the enemy and granting them access to the Wall. When she finally returns to the Night Court, Rhysand and his inner circle begin planning on how to defeat Hybern, hopefully before he reaches Prythian. But a meeting with the other High Lords comes too late, and Hybern's forces reach Prythian and the mortal realm before a plan can be fully formulated. With war raging in the mortal lands, the Night Court and it's allies must fight against a much larger army in order to protect not only themselves but the humans on their land. Destroying the Cauldron is the only way Hybern will be defeated, and it's a race against the clock to uncover how to do it.victoria.k

Ok if youre using a computer to read this book. Got directions to download to a kindle but print was so small I couldnt read it. Finally got it on an old mini iPad but had to enlarged the text on each page as I read it.kfko-47
What an amazing insight into these extraordinary women from a remote island in South Korea. I love the sea and the descriptions of how they dive for long periods of time in very cold waters just using their incredible breath control is captivating. I also learned a lot about Korean history and culture which is also very interesting….and at times very sad. The story is told with dignity and careful research and I enjoyed it immensely.Margie

Reviews:
The Throne of Glass series is the best book series I have ever read. I have never cried so hard whilst reading books before. The series is packed with action, laughter, reality, friendship, love, grittiness, and unfairness. It has some very minor spicy scenes in the later books, but nothing that should prevent anyone from reading, as these books are aimed at every gender. I would reccomend to readers over the age of 14 due to the content involved, I'm 34 and thoroughly enjoyed them. Genuinely incredible book, it's hard to believe that Sarah started writing these in her teens. Highly recommend!!!Albinopirate

12. After [Book]

Product Details:

Reviews:
Let me first say I usually don't write reviews about anything, but this deserves it. First off, it's an easy read and understanding everything that is going on so you could get thru the series fairly quick, and that is the hard part because you want to finish it as soon as possible, but want it to continue. Hardin and Tessa's relationship is one of the hardest I have ever read, but it is raw and passionate love, and it is the worse kind of love, but that is what love is about, sometimes. I have never cried in my life as much as I have over a book, not even when Dobby dies in Harry Potter. I even threw the books a few times, cursed at it, curled up under my husband's arms because the emotions in their story is so raw.I hated Hardin, loved Hardin, hated Tessa, and loved her again. This book is not for people who take things series , as it does have a lot of emotional abuse in it. At the end of everything no one should go through the process that this couple goes through, but again some people actually do.That is what makes series so great, it could actually happen. And to think it started with a One Direction. I will honestly reread the whole series again, and I don't do that.Nessa
In this twisted and trying tale, an ambitious, college-bound girl, Tessa Young, has found herself entangled with a wild boy that she would have never have given the time of day. Her main goal was to focus on school, her too-good-to-be true boyfriend, Noah, and to start her career in English, but all of that changes after. After she meets Hardin. He is a bad boy with a traumatic past he has completely captured Tessa's attention. In the first book of the After series we find Tessa trying to find out how she fits into her new college life while also figuring out if she is falling for Hardin Scott. My favorite trope is that of enemies to lovers and this book fulfills that fantasy!Mack
Personally, I had watched the first three movies before reading the series. The first book was very sexual and detailed. However, I found myself obsessed. I have completed the book two times before ever finishing the series of books. The books are in my opinion way better than the books. However, watching them first allowed me to imagine Tessa Hardin as the characters presented in the movies. My mother has tried to read the series but found no interest. She prefers the movies and is a book junkie. With all that being said I would say give the book a shot. 👍🏼savannah.p

Reviews:
This isn’t on the book content but the way the book arrived to me . It came with the dust jacket ripped and a razerblade cut through the top of the pages. I honestly didn’t return it cuz I didn’t feel like messing with it but I def am disappointed and don’t know if I will purchase books via Walmart again. I was hoping to have better luck then when I order on Amazon but I guess not.brianna
This was a fantastic, gripping, and whirlwind of a conclusion to the ACOTAR series. I could not have thought of a better ending because every single thing I wanted to happen, happened and it was written so beautifully and with such grace that kept me enthralled enough to read 200 pages in one sitting – which is no small feat for me. The character development that happened, both from watching these characters from the first book to this one and from solely watching them through this book, was tremendous. We started out with a feeble human girl struggling to provide for her terrible sisters and deadbeat father to her truly living up to her title of Cursebreaker. Every single other character that Maas planted in the first book sprouted to heights I didn’t even believe were possible – for everyone from Rhysand’s friends to the other high lords to even Feyre’s sisters. They all endured so much, truly learning from it. It actually made me feel so proud of them and their accomplishments and sacrifices. In this book, I really appreciated getting to know Rhysand’s people better. In A Court of Mist and Fury, I felt a little detached from them and barely knew them let alone remembered who they all really were. However, going along with the character development, the group grew so complex and vital and I was so glad to get to know them. They all had such big, unique personalities that were so interesting to learn. I really want to reread the other books just so I can pay attention to them more since I really hadn’t in the beginning. The love that flourishes between all of the romances is so pure, as well as a certain character’s intentions in the end when he chooses to help. I was so touched by all of them. And Feyre and Rhysand give me life, my soul is built upon the foundations of their love. I will forever root for them no matter how much I adore Rhysand. The world would end if they weren’t together. Maas’s writing style is also something to behold. I hung from every word like the pure trash that I am for this series. The sentences flowed so smoothly and were stung together so delicately that it felt like she put she so much time and dedication into every single word. She does tend to use ellipses and dashes an obscene amount, and use a key word of the following sentence, and then finish the thought behind that word in the sentence. I had never noticed that until it was pointed out in a few booktube videos I watched, so I’m sorry if I just pointed it out to you! But really, in general, I find the whole world Maas crafted to be so deliciously dark and whimsical. The creatures she designed to cause turmoil are straight from nightmares. Every part of the world is enticing, and I really want to learn more. I need a guide to Pyrthian. I am so sad to see this beautiful series end, but I hope the novellas will at least somewhat fill the void it left in its wake.taylor.m
A Court of Frost and Starlight was very enjoyable,. It was a great way to wrap up the story of the first three books. The different POVs allow readers to enter the minds of the Inner Circle, and Nesta to see how they were coping with the aftermath of the war. What I loved most was reading about Cassian and Mor (in their POV chapters) and seeing how they felt about their family, choices and lives. Bonus: The hardcover for this book and the others are absolutely stunning!Kota
14. Normal People: A Novel [Book]

Product Details:
Now an emmy-nominated hulu original series – new york times bestseller – “a stunning novel about the transformative power of relationships” (people) from the author of conversations with friends, “a master of the literary page-turner” (j. courtney sullivan). one of the ten best novels of the decade—entertainment weekly – ten best books of the year—people, slate, the new york public library, harvard crimson – and best books of the year—the new york times, the new york times book review, o: the oprah magazine, time, npr, the washington post, vogue, esquire, glamour, elle, marie claire, vox, the paris review, good housekeeping, town & country connell and marianne grew up in the same small town, but the similarities end there. at school, connell is popular and well liked, while marianne is a loner. but when the two strike up a conversation—awkward but electrifying—something life changing begins. – a year later, they’re both studying at trinity college in dublin. marianne has found her feet in a new social world while connell hangs at the sidelines, shy and uncertain. throughout their years at university, marianne and connell circle one another, straying toward other people and possibilities but always magnetically, irresistibly drawn back together. and as she veers into self-destruction and he begins to search for meaning elsewhere, each must confront how far they are willing to go to save the other. – normal people is the story of mutual fascination, friendship and love. it takes us from that first conversation to the years beyond, in the company of two people who try to stay apart but find that they can’t. praise for normal people “[a] novel that demands to be read compulsively, in one sitting.”—the washington post “arguably the buzziest novel of the season, sally rooney’s elegant sophomore effort . . . is a worthy successor to conversations with friends. here, again, she unflinchingly explores class dynamics and young love with wit and nuance.”—the wall street journal “[rooney] has been hailed as the first great millennial novelist for her stories of love and late capitalism. . . . [she writes] some of the best dialogue i’ve read.”—the new yorker
Reviews:
There's a first-rate book buried inside Sally Rooney's "Normal People" . . . but the novel is too loose-limbed and (often) implausible for its own good. Many characters are either very"good" or very"bad" WITH CAPITAL LETTERS (the two main protagonists' respective mothers, in particular . . . more types than believable people). Others are dropped onto the page . . . and disappear. Conversations between characters are often used to move the plot forward . . . but the exchanges themselves appear to come out of nowhere and don't seem to be something the speaker in question would actually say. It's also hard to believe that the man and woman around which the plot revolves are at the top of their class at Trinity College (on full scholarships, no less!): no one so much as cracks a book or spends any discernible time studying. Neither of them is particularly articulate . . . and the male character's conversations rarely progress beyond an oft-used (and muttered) "Yeah." It is clear that Rooney's interest is not with the "finer" points of novel writing (too often one has to suspend disbelief here; the above criticisms can be applied to Rooney's first novel, "Conversations With Friends"). That said, the on-again/off-again relationship of the central male and female characters is beautifully done (quite gripping, really) . . . and it is for THAT reason that the book is worth reading.Try to read past the book's flaws; it's worth the effort. (And the ending is perfect [no spoilers here!].)artandmusic22
It's hard to imagine I'd need to recommend this book to anyone who has already read Sally's first novel, Conversations with Friends. Her ability to capture the deeply intimate thoughts and motivations of her characters with an economy of language is masterful. As a consequence ones familiarity with the characters grows almost exponentially as you begin reading – although with a shock she reminds you almost at any time that really – just as in real life – you don't really know other people. They can do the most unexpected and 'out of character' things. And it's not because they're fictional, it's because people, the people you meet in the street, your sister, your lover – whoever – are – in spite of the intimacies you may share are actually totally separate people with their own histories, characters, thoughts and desires that can be so foreign to your own as to be utterly unfathomable. People, in spite of their pretensions, are frail, needy, rarely self-contained. Such things are never more obvious than in the relationships we dare to pursue with other people. I fear that this author may be underestimated in her own time. I sincerely hope not.Rach the Reader
I picked up this book after a slew of friends and all of Instagram has recommended me this book! I was so excited to get into it, because this book seemed to have such a dedicated following. But as I worked my way through this book, I found myself completely disappointed. This book never arrives to that "aha!" moment. It drags on in a dizzying spell of break up and make up sex, petty jealousy, and never arrives anywhere. It has a few redemptive qualities, such as character development and the way of staying true to Irish culture. But at the end of the book, I thought to myself – "well that was a waste of time." If you want to read an incredibly blah book, here it is.Hannah

Reviews:
Huge fan of all of Colleen Hoovers books! I do think this one should be read in its series. A lot of her other series books work perfectly fine as a stand alone. I loved Verity better than this one, that’s the only reason it’s not getting a 5 star review. But really, you can’t go wrong with any of her books. And a lot of them are available at the local library. So check there first!lori.c
This book took me two days to complete. That's how much I love this book. I never wanted to put it down. This book/story makes you laugh, cry and feel. It's so intense. This book is a must have! This author Colleen Hoover has impressed me once again. All I can say is Maybe Someday……shouldn't be just someday you should be reading this book over and over.J.Vick loves books
I wish I could hate Colleen Hoover. The woman has now stolen a week's worth of sleep from me because of her books. And I know that I'd gladly lose more if it meant that I'd get to read her stories. Maybe Someday was such an amazing journey. I loved Sydney and a freaking LOVED Ridge so much. They were so raw and honest with their communication that it gave me hope that more writers would take note that you can create conflict in a story without resorting to a running heroine or miscommunication. And I completely understood Maggie. I had a sister in law in her same situation. I didn't understand some of the choices she made, but I know now why she made them. I can't wait for my next sleepless night at the hands of one of Colleen Hoover's books. Honestly, I wonder if I'd even love a grocery list she wrote- I'm that in awe of her talent.brandon.b

"𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒔𝒘𝒊𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝑳𝒊𝒍𝒚. 𝑾𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒆." I'm gonna be honest, I thought Colleen Hoover's books would never be for me. However, the amount of hype It Ends With Us receives made me want to meet the infamous Atlas and Lily. I knew very little about it, I thought I'd hate it… I was very wrong. Colleen Hoover wrote this heavy, intense story so flawlessly, I simply could not put it down. The strength this book carries is unimaginable. It is a story with messages woven within the simplistic style of writing that I don't believe I'll ever forget. Also, Lily Bloom is an unforgettable character, and not just because her name happens to be 'Lily Bloom'. Her strength is incredibly admirable. Aaaaaand, I'm actually wanting to read more CoHo books now – hopefully I'll come across Verity or Ugly Love.Lena
Read this over the weekend because I had Covid and laid in bed all week. Absolutely glad I read it in a weekend, because I would been very upset if I had invested anymore time into it. Truly disappointing read, the story feels force and unnatural. It's not all terrible I rather enjoyed the about the letter to Ellen regarding her interactions with Atlas those feel natural. Everything seems like an exmachina to keep the story going or rather create a story. Don't see how this author could be on NY times best-selling list, really don't see how this books has so much hype. It feels done like I've somehow already read this book, not very original. Which is a shame because I think if the author was aiming for this to be a book about DV she missed the boat. It feels more like a book about lost and found romance than a young woman overcoming and ending the circle of abuse so many women find themselves inpregnanttargetlady
This book is truly a masterpiece! Colleen knows how to grab the readers attention and keep it there!! It has been sometime now since I’ve had such a good read as I have found in this book set of two with the starting book, “it ends with us,” AS I AM FINDING IT QUITE HARD TO KEEP MY HANDS OFF IT!! I SO DO LOOOOVE THIS BOOK!! IM already immediately roaring for Lily, then it’s Ryle…OMG-THEN ATLAS!!?? WHAT THE….. Yes! This book is AWESOME!! A purely find myself so wrapped around the writing of this author portraying the characters out, every drop of it, I find myself actually purposefully trying to not read the book TOO QUICKLY!!! I knooow THATS CRAZY!??? However, DONT JUDGE ME..LOL…I’m an AVID reader, my friend/s! I’ve read since I was 8! NOVELS!! **Anyways! I look forward to getting through this book and beginning “it begins with us, “which of course we all know is the sequel to the book I’m reading now! Miss Colleen Hoover is quite a talented writer, I knew that she had talent, however, she has held on to my attention and probably will never be able to let go of it!!!!!!!!!! Awesome BOOK PICK!!! -ShannonShannon

These were being offered at a very attractive price and I finally decided to buy. I've seen odd snippets of the films and thought to try the books; very pleased I did. Films can never keep more than three narrative threads going unlike a book and with these I have lost count of the number of threads running through the tale. They can be read straight through as you would normally read a book or you can use chapter headings and read through an individual thread and see what one person in the tale is doing. Don't expect happy endings though George Martin tells it as you would expect those times to be where the unlikable survive and the likable end up dead or maimed. And when you have read through, start again because this is a tale so tightly written with events and characters intertwining it will take several reads to fully get to grips with it. And then prepare yourself for the next book in what promises to be a never ending saga.
As an avid game of thrones fan, naturally I felt like getting the ASOIAF books for cheap. Postage was quick and the item arrived in immaculate condition, with a free poster map of Westeros and a part of Essos. The box that contains the book set has kinda teared slightly on the edges however. The box has been made to be maybe a bit too tight so take care when taking out books and putting them back in. Overall excellent service from The Works. Would recommend the box set especially at this price! Currently on book 2 and I thought A Game of Thrones was a compelling read, so the actual content is fantastic as well. If you're a GOT fan, make sure you have this on your bookshelf.ansbha-5243
Missed the series when shown on TV, so bought the books to accompany the film series, also recently purchased. Have only just started to read the first novel, but already I am captivated by the detail and the compelling and thrilling storyline. Looking forward to reading through and watching each of the episodes in turn.wyndhams52
