Reviews:
I LOVED this book. It's informative, up to date and relevant to anyone interested in their health. I liked it so much I've moved on to another book looking at the impact of bacteria on all life. Giulia Enders is easy to read. She writes in everyday language with a touch of humor. I'm not exaggerating when I say she has changed my worldview as far as bacteria, our diet and mental and physical health is concerned.brightwarrior
We have both found this to be, quite possibly, the best purchase we have ever made. The information contained in this book, if followed, will change your life. We regard this book to be the most important book you will ever read. The information within will give you the ability to become healthy in mind, body and spirit. Without doubt the basis for anyone to become healthy. We both followed the dietary advice since buying the book and feel that we are both proof that Giulia Enders information is genuine and works. As well, she provides a comprehensive insight to the workings of our internals and what is necessary to maintain our gut and the importance of gut health. Highly recommend.BlueBell

Product Details:

Interesting book..I would recommend it..maxinanchond-0
Fascinating book and well written on a very important topic that explains our Western disease epidemic that came on in recent decades and cannot be explained by only "bad" genetics. It's a a bit short on specifics on how we rehab our depleted microbiomes but, even so, is a must-read.motech2002

Reviews:
A gluten free cook book that’s radically changed how we eat. My delight when my partner who works physically hard each day, is pleasantly surprised when he’s presented with delicious meals. I’m not a cook and clap with joy as these recipes work. Our energy levels have improved and skin inflammation decreased.Jude
This book is well worth buying full of great information and although I'm still reading it I know it will be a book I can reference again in the future. I love all of the beauty chef products. I have had a lot of trouble in the past 3 years with my digestive system. The doctors don't help only with pills and that's not getting to the cause. Food sensitivities have been my problem all my life. But gradually I have been reading and learning and trying products and am at last getting somewhere, this book has been very helpful for me its worth every penny. The only problem for me was the print in the book is a bit light so I have to be in a good light to read it. My eyesight is good but being 81 might have something to do with it.Prue F.
The Gut Guide seemed overwhelming to begin with, but as I have gotten into it, and made more and more of the recipes, the more I've come to really enjoy this book. The only negative I have is that the writing is really small. Probably like 7pt. I have purposely held off on writing a review until I'd made good use of the book. I have tried to stick to the stages that Carla recommends, as I have been suffering from psoriasis flare ups. So I have done four or so weeks of following the book and am somewhere between stages 1 and 2. All the recipes I've made have turned out really great, and are delicious. I've nearly made all of the recipes in Stage 1. The recipes seem quite fussy to begin with. It helps to sit down with the book once a week and plan your meals and shopping list, if you are following this as a guide. It takes a while to become familiar with the recipes and in turn learn some shortcuts. I have never spent more time in the kitchen as I have in the past month, so a little prep goes a long way. Even washing a bunch of veggies and herbs ahead of time helps. My psoriasis hasn't gotten better yet, but I'm holding out hope for the long term.Debs C.

This book is extremely easy to understand for a lay person who has gut issues. Dr. Colbert does not put unnecessary info in the book to make it like a medical textbook. Very interesting and helpful facts to go by if you just start out as someone with gut issues, like me. This was the first book I've read about gut issues; since then I've read other gut books, but this book gives you a broad, basic understanding if you know "nothing". "i've been doing john's protocol for the last two months and it has helped immensely with my sibo. my bloating and stomach distention are pretty much gone, ditto stools pretty much normal and motility much better. i'm not necessarily 100% better, but it's the first thing i've done beside a ridiculously restrictive diet that has actually helped me heal. in fact, previously my diet was slowly becoming more and more restricted. give it a try, it's good stuff. "i would like to share that i have had such great success. my gut is probably about 90% better. i realize that it still probably has issues and this is a journey of healing and keeping it well, but i have had no bloating, belching, constipation or diarrhea, and limited moments of soreness. i feel that i am digesting my food and the shortness of breath, heart palpitations, and discomfort in my throat are gone too." — berea f. "i just looked at your latest protocol and i have to say it is totally amazing! it seems more thorough than most of the 5 books i have read. were/are you something famous for your job?" — debbie h. the gut health protocol outlines natural approaches to tackling dozens of stomach and intestinal health issues using only scientifically studied natural herbs, supplements and diet. supplements commonly available in local health foods stores and at your favorite online retailer. many common ailments often have gut issues as their underlying cause, conditions such as: recurring stomach aches, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, ibs, acid reflux, nausea, eating disorders, eczema, obesity, chronic fatigue syndrome and even major depression have all been linked to gut issues. the root of many of these problems can often be traced quite convincingly to small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (sibo), intestinal candida albicans, h.pylori bacteria overgrowth in the stomach, bacterial dysbiosis throughout the gut or other secondary conditions that these infections cause. the gut health protocol can usually resolve these issues, and without damaging antibiotics or steroids. even if you choose to go the antibiotic route the gut health protocol can make the treatment more effective and can help prevent serious complications. over 1200 published scientific studies are summarized and explained in easy to understand language, over 500 pages long. unlike many self-help books nearly everything in the book is based on science, not opinion. the author takes all of this brilliant research and translates it to the practical application of healing and caring for our gut. the book is written in such a way as allow your doctor to easily look up the research to validate the claims and treatment suggestions. no need to take the author's word for anything, you and your doctor can read the research. it is recommended that everyone works with a doctor to determine a treatment plan. though everyone's condition is different, you can be feeling much better in as little as 2 weeks, naturally and without risky antibiotics. be sure visit the gut health protocol support group on facebook, there are thousands of members just like you, all helping each other.
