1. The Celtic Shaman: A Practical Guide [Book]
Product Details:
Probably the oldest known spiritual discipline, shamanism is the timeless art of living in harmony with creation, providing a universal system to work with today, whatever our religion or spiritual affiliation may be. celtic shamanism derives from the native traditions of north-west europe. the shamanic contribution of the celts and their predecessors has been overlooked until recently, and is one of the last shamanic traditions to be explored. while it shares common elements with american, australian and siberian teachings, it derives entirely from celtic source material. the celtic shaman offers a varied and easily followed plan of self-tuition for anyone interested in celtic mythology and the western mysteries.

2. Lessons In Courage: Peruvian Shamanic Wisdom For Everyday Life [Book]

Product Details:
Buckminster fuller reminds us, “you never change things by fighting the existing reality. to change something, build a new model that makes the old model obsolete.” this book provides just that model, as well as concrete practices for living it. the model is derived from ancient wisdom traditions, modeled on the pulses, cycles, and seasons of our beloved earth mother. it deeply grounds the reader in a “this world” spirituality that blends indigenous cosmologies, earth-honoring ritual, and time-tested models for living with modern sensibilities.the proposed text presents the biography of an extraordinary man, who has awakened to his own purpose in life as a servant to conscious evolution for all humanity. his life story, full of adventure, cosmic “interventions,” and synchronicity is on par with that of the luminaries documented in these biographies and the time has come for his story to be told. don oscar's story is also the story of each one of us. the only reason his story has not been told until now is that he was first charged with creating opportunities for others to awaken to their higher purpose through his teachings as part of an oral tradition. now, after completing his “compacto” (sacred contract) with his andean teachers and mentors, he has been released from service to tell his story in writing. and it is an extraordinary story, dealing with nothing less than individual, spiritual, and planetary transformation.

4. Iboga: The Visionary Root Of African Shamanism [Book]

Product Details:
Shows how african shamans have used ibogaine for hundreds of years to communicate with ancestral spirits – includes an interview with shaman mallendi, initiation-master of the sacred root – shows that the iboga plant, and its derivative ibogaine, is an anti-addictive agent, especially for heroin – reveals how ibogaine has been suppressed by the dea, the fda, and christian ministries iboga, spiritual ally of african shamans since antiquity, yields ibogaine, a powerful psychotropic substance. it is used mainly in gabon and cameroon in a secret, initiatory tradition called bwiti-nganza, in which physical and psychological illnesses can be rooted out and cured. intense psychological conditioning that includes the rites of confession, contacting and honoring one’s ancestors, and construction of an in-depth psychological inventory are all part of the initiate’s encounter with this sacred root.like many visionary and initiatory plants, iboga is a key that gives access to other modes of being and consciousness. despite its suppression by the fda since the 1960s, and more recently by the dea, researchers have shown that ibogaine provides a powerful adjunct to psychology due to its miraculous ability to break addictions–most notably to heroin. to the followers of the bwiti religion, ibogaine is the indispensable means by which humans can truly communicate with the deepest reaches of their soul and with the spirits of their ancestors. this book details the traditions and techniques of iboga’s use by african shamans and the essential role it occupies in that community in order both to preserve this knowledge and to show how ibogaine may have an important role to play in our modern world.

Reviews:
This one goes into very good detail about the use Iboga and Ibogaine first in a historical sense with various tribes in West Africa and then shifting over to the modern day use of Ibogaine. The book filled me with a sense of wonder about the use of this very unique plant and substance. Hope for the improvement of humanity was attached to this plant as well as I read on. I do see that in Iboga and Ibogaine there lies a catalyst for change and transformation for those afflicted with addictions and spiritual maladies. I truly do hope, especially in US, that modern society will see the gift that lies within this plant, and that the laws will be adjusted properly in regards to Ibogaine, which is currently and unfortunately a Schedule I substance. Great to see a book like this. Whole Heartily recommended!senorsock1

Reviews:
This is an excellent and thought provoking book. I had been recommended "Elen of the Ways" on Facebook, I was not disappointed. It is well written and very readable, a pleasure from beginning to end. Although small, it contains a lot of "meat" to inspire and inform, I have just ordered another of her books on the strength of it. It is subtitled "Shamanic Pathways", and it "does what it says on the tin" – recommended to anyone with an interest in the British mystery traditions.jonuk08
Initially a lovely story, but then gets a bit technical and I lost interest.sandra.chickens

Product Details:
A rare in-depth look at the inner workings of huichol shamanism – describes the five sacred sites of the huichol and their peyote ceremonies – explains how the huichol teachings of awareness, centered on the five points of attention, connect you to your true essence – reveals the deep relationship between huichol cosmology, gnosticism, and christianity, especially jesus christ and the virgin mary taking place in the heart of the huichol homeland in western mexico, this book offers a rare in-depth look at the inner workings of huichol shamanism, which is permeated with the use of the sacred peyote cactus. outsiders are almost never allowed access to huichol sacred sites and ceremonies; however, james endredy, after years of friendship with huichol families, earned the privilege nearly by accident. swayed by persistent pleading, he agreed to take another gringo into the mountains to one of the huichols’ ceremonial centers, and they were both caught. after trial and punishment, endredy was invited to stay within the sacred lands for the festivities he had illegally intruded upon and found his initiation into the huichol shamanic tradition had begun. sharing his intimate conversations and journeys with the shaman he calls “peyote jesus,” the author explains how huichol belief revolves around the five sacred directions, the five sacred sites, and the five points of attention. as peyote jesus explains, the five points of attention refer to dividing your awareness yet staying focused on your inner self. endredy undergoes dozens of spiritual journeys with peyote as he makes the pilgrimages to the five sacred huichol sites with peyote jesus. he is shocked by his vision of the virgin mary while under peyote’s guidance and learns of the deep relationship–strictly on huichol terms–between their cosmology, gnosticism, and christianity, especially jesus christ. providing an inside look at the major ceremonies and peyote rituals of the huichol, this unexpectedly powerful book reveals the key tenants of the huichol worldview, their beliefs in the afterlife, and their spiritual work on behalf of all of humanity.
