I am Azrin, a girl who likes Astronomy, stars, the moon, and outer space. The book is very interesting yet a bit boring, though I still love it! I haven't finished reading yet but the book is either way very amazing. It has all of my interests and is very entertaining. I'm only 9 but can still read non-picture books. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes stars, space, and frightening adventure.mias_63
I absolutely love this book! It seems that I can't ever put it down and must know more about Xan and Luna. As I continue to read I can only hope that Luna and the carpenter are going to be able to put the Protectorate right. That the witch isn't really wicked and in fact saves the children from the strange ritual the village does.MARRIANA

Product Details:
This cloth-bound, slip-cased deluxe edition is the perfect elegant gift for high school, or college grads! with dr. seuss's trademark use of humorous verse and illustrations, he addresses the ups and downs life presents while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within them all. perfect for display and destined to become a family keepsake, it features a full-color cover insert on the cloth slip-case; a full-color printed book case; a bookplate for personalizing; and the good doctor's famous commencement speech "my uncle terwilliger on the art of eating popovers" ( a.k.a. the "popover" poem) printed inside." don't be fooled by the title of this seriocomic ode to success; it's not 'climb every mountain,' kid version. all journeys face perils, whether from indecision, from loneliness, or worst of all, from too much waiting. seuss' familiar pajama-clad hero is up to the challenge, and his odyssey is captured vividly in busy two-page spreads evoking both the good times (grinning purple elephants, floating golden castles) and the bad (deep blue wells of confusion). seuss' message is simple but never sappy: life may be a 'great balancing act,' but through it all 'there's fun to be done.'"–(starred)booklist.

Reviews:
ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE is one of the best books you'll read this year. On one hand the title implies the lessons learned by a young German orphan boy about radio waves. On the other hand as the author describes it 'It's also a metaphorical suggestion that there are countless invisible stories still buried within World War II.' Add in a newly blinded French girl who is forced to leave her familiar surroundings and you'll soon find yourself in literary heaven. The layered meanings run deep in this book. No wonder nearly every advanced review uses the word 'intricate' to describe this masterpiece. The German boy and his sister discover an old radio where they hear science lessons from afar. There are lessons about the brain sitting inside the darkness of our skull interpreting light; there are lessons about coal having been plants living millions of years ago absorbing light now buried in darkness; lessons about light waves that we cannot seeóall applicable as the story unfolds. Readers will appreciate the short almost lyrical chapters of alternating characters. The author helps by italicizing earlier mentioned quotes and then leaving almost every chapter closing with a message to ponder. Take for example: 'a real diamond is never perfect' 'open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever' and 'the entropy of a closed system never decreases'. All of this is explained in a natural way but never given out in an assuming manner. The story flows and draws your heart into its deep meaning. Having personal connections to both veterans of World War II and members of the blind community I can attest to the authenticity of this story's writing. Author Anthony Doerr brings out lovely characters along with their own fascinations: seashell collecting bird watching locksmithing electronics and geology. The history surrounding these personal stories is real and deep. You will fall in love. The author also includes connections to the song Clair de Lune the book 20 000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA and a fictional story about a priceless diamond called the Sea of Flames whose owner 'so long as he keeps it the keeper of the stone will live forever.' I cannot proclaim loud enough how much this book means to me; I have been left awe-inspired. So thank you to Scribner for making this book available for me to review. It has been an honor.Ryan_DeJonghe
I appear to be one of the few who really didn't like this book. Haha, nothing against the book. It's well written, is a historical fiction with multiple points of view. I just didn't care for it 🤷🏻♀️. Honestly I found it boring but reading is so subjective, and again, I'm in the minority of readers.tanya .d
A very interesting, beautifully written book about a blind French girl and young German lad during WW2, he appears to be under the influence of Hitler youth. Set mainly in St Malo. Accurate historical context but fictional story. Very relevant currently given the war in Ukraine. It is a long book (500 pages +) but worth persisting.Fran

AMAZING BUY! i love it, this book had me so engrossed, i couldnt stop reading it! Lovely story line with so many unexpected turns. Also has a movie whuch i watched afterwards and i really enjoyed that too. The best book i have ever layed my eyes on. About a youbg girl who is chronically sick and allergic to everything, has to stay in her hone forever. But what will she do when the new boy accross the road grasps her love? Will she risk her life for a stranger? Read ut to fibd out…liv.b
Okay first I have to say that I love love love the cover and all the illustrations throughout the story! In my opinions it made this 10 times better. I think that the drawings really added to the story. Nicola Yoon created characters that practically burst from the pages. You can seriously see their personalities just jumping from the page. I loved the interaction between all of the characters as well. Maddy and Olly's email conversations are just the best! I also loved the interactions between Maddy and her nurse Carla. I just really enjoy when an author makes the characters so real. Everything, Everything is a story that is so unique. I've never seen anything like it. I loved getting to know about Maddy's disease. It's such a refreshing and interesting story to get to learn about. One of my favorite things is the fact that Maddy is actually half African American half Japanese. I love getting to see diverse characters in novels. While I did really enjoy Everything, Everything there were some things that did bother me. I thought it was rather unrealistic that a young teenager could get a credit card for one. For two, how many people would just book a flight and go to Hawaii with someone they don't know very well? In my opinion it wasn't really realistic for Maddy to be locked up for so long with just her mothers diagnosis. Another thing that really bothered me was Olly's dad. I'm sorry but if I was in a position like Maddy was I would have called the cops or done something. I sort of expected the ending to go the way it did but it didn't stop me from wishing there was more to the story. I wanted to know about her life after. All in all I did really enjoy Everything, Everything and I would recommend it to someone looking for a cute Summer read.Jordan @TBB
I would rate this book 10/10. I loved this book. It helps you understand a different lifestyle that someone could live and makes you feel more grateful for what you have. The main character in this story, Madeline, has a rare disease where she can’t leave her house ever because her body can’t fight off infections and will die if she goes outside. She has a nurse that comes to check on her everyday and she only has a mom. Her mom and her nurse are the only people she has ever seen basically her whole life. A new boy moves in next door and she starts talking to him through the window and also starts emailing and texting him. I really loved following along with this story because you feel so bad for this girl and you can feel her happiness when she develops a friendship with Olly, the boy next door. I would highly recommend this book because the author made the story so captivating and you want to read more and more. I felt so connected to this story and it really changed my perspective on life.caroline

Reviews:
This book was fantastic! It has quickly become one of my all-time favourite books, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I wasn't thrilled with the book's beginning, but after I realised what had happened and the tale of the book as I progressed, it was thrilling. This is one of those slow burns where you have to push through the confusion in order to see the whole picture. THE PLOT….ahhhhh. Maybe I'm making no sense, but once you start reading this book, you won't put it down until you've finished it… I'm not asking you to do it, but I have a feeling you will because of how interesting this book is. The plus of this is also the condition and delivery Booktopia has when delivering books and I was so happy at the end when I got my hands on the book. We Were Liars is a genuine, heartbreaking, and true story of fictitious families, love, friendship, tragedy, and decisions we think we could make but can't.Jhanu
This book was ok. It held my interest for the most part. The twist seemed predictable to me… maybe because I read it in the reviews and was expecting something to happen. I just didn’t like the way it resolved. I found it annoying. I feel like the story would have been better without “the twist”Alli
I love love LOVE this book! The depth of the characters within the family, the plot twist that makes everything come full circle is perfect. Once finished, read the prequel to learn more about the family dynamic and why things are the way they were on the island. 10/10 for bothmashleighhhx

Reviews:
this book was good! the second i got it i was so excited to read it! however, i was partially disappointed and DNF'ed around page 200 but later picked it up again. on my second try, i was invested and the reveal had me SOBBING! (UPCOMING SPOILERS WATCH OUT!!!!) i feel like pip changed personality too quick at the end, being a good girl obsessed with her grades and then blandly coming out super publicly that she cheated on her EPQ (i don't actually remember what it was called…) is just out of character and it's a really quick behavioural change….
A good girls guide to murder started off strong and ended with such an unexpected scene that I couldn't wait to pick up the next book. I loved Pippa and Ravi's dynamic friendship and how it played such a heartwarming role in the story. Even when the crime was solved, I had a hard time believing how Holly perfectly fit him as the villain while making him seem innocent and detached from the crime. I am very excited to continue the series and read more of Holly Jackson's books I one hundred percent recommend this series. Please put it in your book list or read it! It is the best murder mystery I have read❤️Reading is life
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely adored this book. It is a YA mystery/ thriller. With that being said, this is one of the best YA books I have read. The plot and character development were amazing. There were multiple characters throughout the book, but they were really easy to keep track of. I really enjoyed seeing the emails and interview transcripts throughout the book. It made me feel like I was Pip trying to solve this mystery. And let me tell you, I was totally shocked by whodunnit. I am a HUGE true crime podcast lover, so when I started this book it really reminded me of the podcast serial when they cover Adnan Syed’s case. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone, especially if you liked this book. And vice versa. I was please that this book did not seem like it was modeled exactly from this real life case though, and just had some similarities.jordan.w

Reviews:
I bought this book for my son who has tourette syndrome. He loved it and insisted that I read it. Normally I don't read/like books written for youth but this book was awesome. I couldn't put it down and read it in two sittings back to back staying up way past my bedtime. My son thought it was so great to read about a hero with tourett's and that the author has TS too. I will definitely be buying the rest of the books in the series.dancingleaves
This story will keep you up all night reading. At first it seems a little slow because the author is setting up the main character's background ( I guess that's normal) but it certainly doesn't stay that way for long. Soon you know what is going on the main character's life changes in a heart beat and from there your hooked. There's not vampires werewolves or magicians but don't let that put you off from this book. It's very much so worthy the attention from the twilight fantasy crowd. Being one of those myself I very much enjoyed this book and found myself contemplating the rest of the story just a few chapters in anxious to see what happens. I am a hard core fantasy reader preferring the werewolf shape shifter and vampire stories but this one caught my attention. The read isn't nearly as complex as some other good books I've read but it is definitely in my top 5 of good books. In this story you see how a life can change and make a young person grow into an adult in just a few short moments. I think this book is full of moral and the idea of the value of human life. There is good (not cheesy) comic relief that will make you laugh out loud then delve you right back into the heart pounding story surrounding the main character and his friends. The electroclan is rising and I'm waiting to see what they do next!JAMreviewer
What an amazing book! I was entirely enthralled with Michael Vey: The prisoner of Cell 25. This is Richard Paul Evan’s first endeavor into the young adult (YA) genre; and I must say he excelled in his mission. This book is very well written and appropriate for young readers, something which boys will find electrifying. However, don’t let that deter your adventure, anyone can experience and enjoy Michael Vey. Truly, a must read!UtahPianoMan
13. Holes By Louis Sachar (Paperback)

Product Details:
Stanley yelnats is under a curse. a curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of yelnatses. now stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys' detention center, camp green lake, where the boys build character by spending all day, every day digging holes exactly five feet wide and five feet deep. there is no lake at camp green lake. but there are an awful lot of holes. it doesn't take long for stanley to realize there's more than character improvement going on at camp green lake. the boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something. but what could be buried under a dried-up lake? stanley tries to dig up the truth in this inventive and darkly humorous tale of crime and punishment—and redemption. for ages 10 and up.
Reviews:
Holes is a book which keeps your attention through to the bitter end. It somehow turns what would be a boring detention camp in real life into a thrilling novel. It is set in a dried up lake in Texas. The main character's name is Stanley Yelnats. He is sent to the camp after a judge finds him guilty of stealing a pair of shoes. Each day at the camp he is required to dig a hole five feet wide and five feet deep. The story is developed with a series of flashbacks which tells the story of the dark past of the dried up lake. Holes is the type of book that you can't put down until you finish. With a good set of characters and a good story line to match, Holes is a book you must read.michael nibs
One of the most entertaining books I have read in a long time. Stanley was convicted of stealing a pair of used, smelly but valuable celebrity sneakers. He claimed they fell from the sky, but he was not believed and sent by the Court to "camp." The "camp" is for wayward boys and this is story is about Stanley's time at the camp. Stanley was from a poor family and his mother was pleased that finally her boy was going to get to go to "camp." What in the world is more entertaining than teen-aged boys….particularly wayward ones in "captivity?" You have to read the book to learn about the Holes. I loved the book. It was an easy and way too fast read.sisters49

This was a gift for my history hungry son. It was well received.Yenzo
Dr. Smith is an incredible storyteller. This book will take you through all possible emotions with the ease and eloquence only a practiced writer can. As a biracial woman living in the South, I didn’t know a lot of the things he spoke of and am now on a mission to educate myself as he did. This book is a must read!!Sfowler

I was referred to read this book by a close friend, so I did, and I do not regret it one bit! While reading this book I felt so many emotions for the main character. I have personally encountered moments in my life when I could relate to the main character so much. This book is RAW, REAL, AND addresses real life issues that most people don't want to speak about. I found myself not wanting to put this book down until I finished it. By the time I reached the last page I felt a personal relief within myself because I felt like I was experiencing every emotion the main character does. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a great book that is an easy read but will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and leave you feeling like it was so worth it in the end!tabatha.c
THERE ARE SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW! DO NOT READ PAST THIS POINT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED. Pros: -It was an easy read -It was about rape, and that’s one of the topics I consider “super important” -The entire book is inside Melinda’s head, and not just because she’s the narrator -In the end, the victim isn’t shamed -The trees thing was cool -I also want a little hideout like hers, but not from high school– just from life Cons: The book isn’t required reading and it really should be My Thoughts: It was so great. Where was this book when I was in high school? I really needed this book back then. I was so glad that the truth finally came out in the end, even if it was sort of forced out. And I am so, so glad that she wasn’t shamed for what happened and that she was able to open up about it. Melinda’s thoughts and actions were very similar to mine in high school, and I could relate so much to her character that sometimes I felt like I was reading my own journal. This book is so important and I think that it really needs to be read.renae.m

Reviews:
It was a slow start but all a sudden the book picks up fast and you are just glued. Finished the book in 2 days. The hurt, pain and memories that Sky, Holder, Karen and Lesslie went though is really heartbreaking. Things that you would prey that human nature isn't capable of doing but sadly there is terrible people out there that do things like that to people. And are forever changed and damaged because of these actions. I cried when I read that Lesslie couldn't deal with it at the end. I'm proud of Sky for being strong and rising above the the things that happened to not just her but Karen and Lesslie too. Dean Holder is a fantastic person and I'm so glad that he found Sky and got his own forgiveness and love. At the end Sky never forgot to love, forgive and move forward to be happy because she deserved to be HOPELESSLY Happy. This story shows that there can be evil in the world, even from people you should be able to be safe around. And that there is times when all choices your left with is wrong but you choose it for the right reasons. That sometimes there isn't justice in the world when you hope there is. But Sky got her happy ending, even if at times she felt HOPELESS!J.Vick loves books

Love the book, loved the story even more! I would have given it 5 stars, but it had a long smudge stain on one of the pages going from the main characters face down to a dialogue bubble. Other than that, it was great. The story kept me on the edge of seat and my heart was pounding loudly with suspense of what was to come.Lulu
A thriller and very mature novel that will leave you reading more, definitely going to be purchasing all the volumes.Brook
I am very excited to have an actual copy of this.Vi
