Reviews:
I loved this book because it was thrilling! I could not put it down! Love, love, love it! This book pulls you in from the first page, it is amazing! But probably only for readers above 10.Soph
I absolutely love the book! The only reason it doesn't get a 5 star rating from me is because it has a circular indent that lasts up through about page 25. It is very big (about the size of an airsoft bullet) but it is kind of annoying. It is in both the first and second book but the rest are in perfect condition so I don't think it should be that way with yours but I just wanted to say something about it.Josephine
This series is AWESOME! The books just keep getting better and better. I am reading through the series so quickly because I can't seem to put the story down. As soon as I get 2/3rd's through I hurry to BAM to get the next one! Thanks BAM, for carrying this great series!ALICIA

great resource for kids. The used book's description did not say that 40 pages had been used by the previous owner. Be sure to find out if the book you are buying has writing, and in how many pages. we ended up erasing several pages which were done in pencil.jitesht

Reviews:
I am Azrin, a girl who likes Astronomy, stars, the moon, and outer space. The book is very interesting yet a bit boring, though I still love it! I haven't finished reading yet but the book is either way very amazing. It has all of my interests and is very entertaining. I'm only 9 but can still read non-picture books. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes stars, space, and frightening adventure.mias_63
I absolutely love this book! It seems that I can't ever put it down and must know more about Xan and Luna. As I continue to read I can only hope that Luna and the carpenter are going to be able to put the Protectorate right. That the witch isn't really wicked and in fact saves the children from the strange ritual the village does.MARRIANA

Reviews:
Childrens book? NO. Absolutely not. Not appropriate, plus the writing is trash. ZERO STARSAnonymous
I purchased this book for my 6 year old(who reads at an advanced reading level). Overall, I would not recommend this book and was truly caught off guard by the inappropriate subject matter. Though I will be able to shelter my children from all subject matters in life, I would have appreciated a warning of the subject matter and a recommended age range for reading. So inappropriate!Dom
My 10 year old loved this graphic novel. She did see the movie with me, but hasn’t read the original “Little Women” yet. It does cover some sensitive topics that not all parents talk to their kids about. Fortunately, my daughter and I have talked about everything. She shed some tears telling me how wonderful the book was.Klassykellie

I don’t want me third grader reading about “eating disorders”, throwing up, panic attacks, anxiety , bullying, puberty, and seeing a therapist. I don’t know how it has so many stars and other parents are ok this being put into a young mind. Back it goes . The other books talk about kissing , spin the bottle and teen drama. 3rd grader does not need to read about this kind of stuff. Their minds are impressionable and need to focus on positive thingsBatgirl

Very interesting story…..particularly informative about the tea industry, as well as focusing on the Chinese children adopted by Americans. Very spell binding to watch how the characters would ultimately encounter one another.Susan
I love books by Lisa See. I had read this from the library but decided I want to start keeping books at home again. I like how this story begins as if this is a culture separated from modern day but the heroine comes up to date later. I have not read a Lisa See book yet that I did not like.brownga1963
It is a very well written book. I could not put it down. When you read this book, you learn a lot about the rituals and superstitions of the Akha people. You will see the life of this ethnic minority from the point of view of an Akha, and from the point of view of an outsider. You will understand both. I also like how Lisa See explores the different aspects of mother-daughter love. In this book, there are plenty of situations, where the relationship between mother and daughter are depicted in different ways. Excellent book! Highly recommended!2014_csak

Amazing book. A must read.ishoplikealicecullen
My son loves this book, but didn't get to finish it. Hopefully now he can since he'll own it after Christmas.Lavender8787
This book was intriguing-but only to a point. The character development wasn’t really there for me and the jumping between tenses got confusing. Quick read, though!kelly.h
