The Dance of Anger has been a popular book for many, many years. Harriet Lerner is spot on in helping people understand the dynamics of relationships, and the affect on people when a change in a relationship occurs. It is a wonderful book.bethavra
I love Harriet Learners work. This is the second audio book I have purchased of hers. I was a little disappointed that all of the stories in the "Dance of Anger" I had already listened to in my previous purchase. I still enjoyed listening, but some variety in the stories would have made this an excellent book, instead of just a good book.
Read this book years ago and enjoyed it very much. Have offered it to a family member for years and finally figured out they don't like reading so decided to get the CD. All these years later and still sharing…….the book affected my life in such a positive was that I enjoyed sharing it with others ( =funnyface642

Reviews:
Good book for my 5 yr old boyfinchley69
We just purchased this book for our 3.5 year old son who has a short temper and no patience. He has been struggling with some socialization skills in his preschool class and sometimes hitting other children as a result of toy conflicts and other similar age appropriate behaviors. But our son loves books so I figured I'd give these books by Cheryl Meiners a shot since I read good reviews about them online and they have been amazing. I purchased 4 in total that pertained to our immediate needs, but there is a whole series of them all focused on various socialization skills. The books are illustrated beautifully and all speak in very simple terms – my son enjoys talking about the pictures and what the children are doing in the pictures. I am hoping this will evolve into stories of what is happening in his preschool. For "Cool Down and Work Through Anger," he likes to talk about the conflicts he sees in the pictures in this book (such as asking to play and the group of children responding with "no, sorry but you can't play") and what he can do in response to feeling angry about these situations. Highly recommend for a preschool aged child who is learning how to deal with anger and acquire the skills for controlling one's body in positive ways.hjg202
One of many in the series by this author. Great strategies in a story form to start the conversation about managing emotions- in this case anger.Concord Girl
