2. 12 Months To Million: How To Pick A Winning Product, Build A Real Business, And Become A Seven-Figure Entrepreneur [Book]
Product Details:
This is the road map to a seven-figure business . . . in one year or less the word "entrepreneur" is today's favorite buzzword, and any aspiring business owner has likely encountered an overwhelming number of so-called "easy paths to success." the truth is that building a real, profitable, sustainable business requires thousands of hours of commitment, grit, and hard work. it's no wonder why more than half of new businesses close within six years of opening, and fewer than 5 percent will ever earn more than $1 million annually. 12 months to $1 million condenses the startup phase into one fast-paced year that has helped hundreds of new entrepreneurs hit the million-dollar level by using an exclusive and foolproof formula. he's seen more than 100 entrepreneurs cross the seven-figure barrier, many of whom go on to sell their businesses. if your goal is to be a full-time entrepreneur, get ready for one chaotic, stressful, and rewarding year. if you have the guts to complete it, you will be the proud owner of a million-dollar business and be in a position to call your own shots for life.

Product Details:
"most startups are built to fail. but those failures, according to entrepreneur eric ries, are preventable. startups don't fail because of bad execution, or missed deadlines, or blown budgets. they fail because they are building something nobody wants. whether they arise from someone's garage or are created within a mature fortune 500 organization, new ventures, by definition, are designed to create new products or services under conditions of extreme uncertainly. one of the central premises of the lean startup movement is what ries calls "validated learning" about the customer.

Without a doubt, the single most informative book on the iterative entrepreneurial process. The contents of this book, if followed, replaces the needless suffering of failing to find product-market fit. Every entrepreneurship class I have ever sat in (Babson, RMIT, Swinburne) has at some point referenced the ideas contained in this text. Again, if followed, this book can easily replace an entire degree or masters…. Enjoy!Mattwastaken
Not bad but a lot more focused on IT start-ups as opposed to manufacturing which it purports to include but which gets little attention. So, good if you are doing IT but maybe still a bit wordy and not quite as inspiring as what I was hoping for.Alistair
This book is a MUST read if you are planning to set up your own business. Whilst most examples are about the tech industry, it provides a robust framework applicable to any start up.A must read for any aspiring ent

5. Anyone Can Do It: Building Coffee Republic From Our Kitchen Table – 57 Real Life Laws On Entrepreneurship [Book]
Product Details:
Thinking about starting the business of your dreams? so what's holding you back? is it the fear of the unknown? if you are even contemplating starting a business of your own, perhaps you feel 'stuck' where you are now? but even being 'stuck' can seem better than facing that fear. that fear of the unknown, of leaving that comfort zone. entrepreneurship is like an uncharted ocean. but ask yourself this question: do you have the will and determination to leave dry land and navigate the choppy and sometimes daunting waters that lie before you? if so, then anyone can do it can help you tackle some of those fears, to answer some of the elusive questions about what an entrepreneur must face when making the decision to go for (what can sometimes seem like) that unattainable dream. authors sahar and bobby hashemi are the dynamic brother and sister team who started one of the most recognizable and high-profile brands in the united kingdom today – coffee republic. sahar and bobby had to leave their comfort zones too, leaving secure jobs to take the plunge. but this is not a business memoir nor mere corporate history. this is a personal story about two ordinary people who 'did it', and who got it right. anyone can do it is an inspirational book that chronicles the start and evolution of a genuine success story. sahar and bobby take you through their first conversations (when the seed of the idea was planted), to writing the business plan, finding a name, raising money, opening the first store, taking the company public and to the present day when coffee republic turns over millions, employs thousands of individuals and has over 100 outlets around the united kingdom. anyone can do it offers a myriad of lessons for aspiring entrepreneurs and blows apart the myth that only 'special' people start successful businesses. it's written in an informal style and packed with tips, advice and quotes. throughout the text are copies of original business plans, early brainstorms and the cruel and duly ignored bank rejection letters. sahar and bobby take the reader step by step through every aspect of starting a business. the process for them wasn't always easy but one thing is for sure, it was the most rewarding journey either of them has taken.
Reviews:
This is an outstanding book. It sets out a simple, no-nonsense blue print for building a business from start to finish. It is written by two people who have made a success of it, the first time they attempted to set up a business; neither of whom had any business experience before. Also a very easy to read and enjoyable read.zand-benevolent
What can I say – simply outstanding. This book condenses years of wisdom and helps the budding entrepreneur overcome many mistakes that he or she would otherwise have made. it is written clearly, concisely and is very readable. I cannot recommend it enough.zand-benevolent

Reviews:
I originally checked this book out at my college library but after delving in, I knew I had to have my own copy. The information is so relevant. The author is on point with his scenarios and topics. In addition the reader can write in with his or her answers to the case studies and get personal feedback from the author! Who does that?! THIS guy! I'm learning so much and the language is not legalesed and technicalized to the point that a common person will need a dictionary, thesaurus or encyclopedia to understand what is being presented. I'm a budding entrepreneur and the way everything is written will have you believing (rightfully so) that you CAN be a success in which ever business you choose. Whether you will do a brick and mortar, e-commerce, LLC, DBA, partnership or whatever facet of business ownership you choose, you will be well prepared for the highs, liws, ups, downs ins and outs of being a SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR!!! I HIGHLY recommend this book. It's clear, concise, pertinent information that you will utilize for all the information of becoming a successful entrepreneur! Do not allow one of your life's regrets be NOT purchasing this book!arob32923

As a fan of Raz's How I Built This podcast, I had a feeling that this book may not be full of anything new – and would simply be a recap of past podcast episodes. While Raz likely leveraged some insights from those episodes, the book was so so so much more than a simple recap. I was pleasantly surprised at just how many insightful and informative tips were included in this release.bookreader09
Rather than just sharing the highlights of successful businesses, "How I Built This" includes the struggles, pivots and clever ideas that helped keep the businesses going when things weren't going well. Inspirational read for start-ups and a great reminder that failing is part of the process – it's Ok to work it out as you go along.Jen P

Reviews:
The next thing best after a live teacher to teach you how to do this is definitely this book. It is funny to read with a tone of sarcasm and patronization, but it makes learning more entertaining and time fly faster for a boring task like this. It doesn’t hurt to share what you learn from this book with friends and family too. Yes it is a pretty helpful DIY book, and it’s even bright, witty and at times stitch worthy hilarious. They’ve brought a new dimension to self help books, and I really do prefer the humorous authors.

The Creative Entrepreneur is an innovative, visual method of business development for all creative types who want to turn their passions into viable business opportunities. The Creative Entrepreneur takes readers on an inner journey of creative exploration to discover how to make their dreams of creative livelihood real, as they craft their own Creative Entrepreneur Journal. I'm a pretty pragmatic person, not a real touchy-feely artist so I approached this book with a bit of skepticism. Five minutes into the book I threw out my preconceived notions of what this book would be and got into the exercises. The author, Lisa Sonora Beam, obviously knows how creative types think and also knows business. She has developed a unique method for us creative types to put both halves of our brain together…the left side, practical side, and the right side, creative side, in order to build a highly successful business. I highly recommend this book. Not only is it visually pleasing, it is full of practical, down-to-earth information that will help you grow your creative business in the way you want it to move. Full of sidebars, visuals, case studies and strategies, this is one of the best business books for creative individuals I have read in a long time.purveyorallthingscreative
