A wonderful book allowing the readers to have fun while teaching young children to follow directions. These little books are very sweet but I was expecting them to be the size of the ones the CDHB give to new babies. They were about a quarter of the size. They did have lovely pictures, however, with mostly black and white simple images with 1 colour per page. They come in a little box open at one end. I think my new nephew will grow into them.Fiona

I ordered this item on a Sunday and it arrived on Monday which is super impressive. I read the reviews before I purchased this, so I was aware the book set was small however for the price I was happy to purchase this item to see whether it would be worth purchasing other black and white books. My little one absolutely loves these books. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for first books for their baby. They're small enough for baby to hold (although they don't stand up to being chewed/sucked on! So keep them out of baby's mouth!) and the images are fun and engaging with their high contrast black and white + splashes of other colours.mumbles_girl

Pros: Great classic book with bright, eye-catching colors. Good for repetitive learning. My LOs both love this book. Cons: There are a few odd things. Is Guinea pig really a first word? Some pics are the same (pic of dump truck for both “truck” & “dump truck”). And it has both cat & kitten which is a little confusing for baby since it’s the same animal. (LO is supposed to distinguish the age of the dog/cat?) Overall good book. But a handful of simple changes would make it so much better.Stacey

To our surprise and delight, the book was his favourite present on Xmas morning and other presents went almost unnoticed – an instant hit!
