First if all this is a great concept. Moms are not the only ones experiencing Pregnancy for the first time. This little book contains lots of detailed information for Dads that they may not think to ask. Besides the normal details about what the baby is doing week to week, this book includes many other features like what the Mom is going through. It gives good advice on how the Dad should navigate the ups and downs of being pregnant. How to support their partner, what to ask and what not to ask! It gives good lists and timelines to help them prepare the nursery, the home and their lives to be ready. I think this book is very useful yet not over whelming. Just enough information to read for a few minutes each week to be more ready and involved. It even goes on for about 3 months after the baby is born to help guide them through infancy. This was a worthwhile book and it makes a great gift too.Junkpunk

I first found a copy of this journal at a Thrift Shop. I bought it to give to my dad whom I don't have the best relationship with. I thought it would be a nice way to open up communications between us and to learn things of his past and how he thinks. I liked this idea so much that I bought this copy on ebay to give to my husbands father, they have a similar relationship as my father and I. Children expect their parents to be perfect and when parents fall short of that expectation, it can create "heartships" for the children. I had some resentment towards my dad for the way he was as a father while I was growing up. Now that I have raised 2 children of my own, I see parenthood is not as easy as I thought it would be and I hope my children can forgive me of my short comings. This made me realize that the grudges I was holding toward my own parents were unfair. So it is my hope that with my dad filing out this journal, he will be able to reveal the sides I never knew or that the grudge blinded me from seeing. This could mend so many hurts between both of us. And cheaper and probably just as effective as Therapy 🙂 I also think it would be a welcomed gift for parents and children who have a good relationship. The journal asks questions that we may not think to ask, fun questions about their childhood, semi-serious questions about their views about life events and enlightening questions about character traits. I am sure this will be something I will cherish while my dad is alive and well and appreciate when he is no longer with us.kimberly7099

I bought several copies of this book for my Dad to write down his childhood memories for myself, my sister and my children (as a surprise gift). I like the fact that it helps you to ask questions about the persons past. I would never have thought to ask and get to hear stories about my Dads life when he was young. I did purchase several books and they were In New or Like New condition. Some of the books had the first page written on them i.e. A Special Gift Presented To, or the page had been carefully removed. I would recommend checking that first thing when you receive the book. One of the things that is making it easier for my Dad to complete the book is to talk and/or email him about the questions every few days. I am also able to ask questions and get more details as he responds to the questions in the book. I would totally recommend this book to a friend and buy again.gailshiddencreations
