2. Money Master The Game: 7 Simple Steps To Financial Freedom [Book]
Product Details:
Tony robbins turns to the topic that vexes us all: how to secure financial freedom for ourselves and for our families. “if there were a pulitzer prize for investment books, this one would win, hands down” (forbes). tony robbins is one of the most revered writers and thinkers of our time. people from all over the world—from the disadvantaged to the well-heeled, from twenty-somethings to retirees—credit him for giving them the inspiration and the tools for transforming their lives. from diet and fitness, to business and leadership, to relationships and self-respect, tony robbins’s books have changed people in profound and lasting ways. now, for the first time, he has assembled an invaluable “distillation of just about every good personal finance idea of the last forty years” (the new york times). based on extensive research and interviews with some of the most legendary investors at work today (john bogle, warren buffett, paul tudor jones, ray dalio, carl icahn, and many others), tony robbins has created a 7-step blueprint for securing financial freedom. with advice about taking control of your financial decisions, to setting up a savings and investing plan, to destroying myths about what it takes to save and invest, to setting up a “lifetime income plan,” the book brims with advice and practices for making the financial game not only winnable—but providing financial freedom for the rest of your life.
Reviews:
Mel Robbins High Five Habit is one of the best books I’ve ever read, I love the way she reads it to you on Audible. It sounds just like she is sitting next to you. Her and tony Robbins are my favourite. Definitely a must read. She is so inspirational.becky.l
There's a lot of good content in this book which is extremely helpful, however I can't help but feel that half of the book is a giant ad for companies that Tony either owns or is associated with. He finished the book suggesting you donate your spare change to a company that helps feed starving kids (great), which is a company that he owns (not so great). I have no doubt that Tony is a great and caring individual, and he comes from the right place with this book, but a lot of it feels like it's designed to draw you to use his products. The book is very much built for the American market, and while some principals are universal, a lot of the advice is not relevant for the NZ market. He hypes up this super portfolio for the whole book, which could have just been shared from the start and saved about 200 pages on this already long and dense read. The book in the middle stages heavily relies on using an app to determine your savings goals and similar, however the app is iOs exclusive, so if you're like me with an android phone then a good 10% of the book can't actually be accessed. Save yourself 30 bucks and just google the principals of the book. If you're still interested, buy it, but saving that use your $30 dollars for something else.Haydn
good book but it has way too much information. Tony may have settled with 150 less pages to make it to-the-point! It does get you to a "solution" quicker, you have way too many data points to possibly get confused. it is a good but, with great data points but if your expectation was to derive a solution that is relevant for you, you will need additional reading.chanegathiya

Absolutely loved this book ! Have been a fan of the podcast for years and the book is just as good. So well written, easy to understand. Would recommend!Laura
No book has taught me more about adulting than this one. This book has empowered me to make informed decisions to: – Change my super fund – Invest in shares for the first time – Consider getting personal insurance It's super educational, down to earth, funny and has heaps of cool case studies and practical illustrations. It's the best book to get stuck into when you're in your 20s (or any age) but the younger the better because it really does teach you how to manage your money wisely with solid foundations. I also LOVE the glossary. There's so much to learn about finances and adulting and this book has been a great reference tool to refer back to as I come across new and unfamiliar terms. This book + the my millennial money podcast / FB group + Glen's spending plan have been a game changer and have taught me so much about managing my money well as a 27yo right now and for my future. Thanks GJ!Rach

Reviews:
I loved this book. It was easy to read and understand, practical, and overall had a friendly tone. I felt like I was getting some solid advice from a knowledgeable mate down the pub. I can see what the hype was for. I have done almost all the suggestions in the book and it was easy in the end. Pape has taken some of the most boring and confusing parts of the financial world and broken them down so anyone could get it. I feel like this book has actually changed my life (cliche I know). What a top bloke and a brilliant book. I wish I could personally thank Scott.Tess
Barefoot Investor was recommended by my sister after I was asking her for some super advice. I filed it away in my memory and then one day randomly bought it. I was pleasantly surprised to have an engaging and easy to read finance book with step by step details on how to manage your finances. Some of the recommendations made were things I already had in place which increased my intrigue as I knew that the recommendations were well supported. The LAST thing I expected was to find a finance book engaging and addictive, and even recommending it to my friends and family. I have bought this book as a gift for many people who have found it equally as enlightening. It has absolutely everything needed to help you gain control of your finances so simply and in a fun manner. Thank you to the author for sharing his insight!Mel K
My husband and I have always been great at budgeting, saving etc. We bought our first home with a 20K deposit 12 years ago. In 2010 we signed up with a financial 'advisor' in a bid to start fast-tracking for our retirement. We are now in the process of trying to untangle ourselves from this master of deceit after losing a lot of money. To be honest, it has been so bad that I have chosen not to assess the situation for a few years because: 1: Our investment 'plan' is impossible to understand 2.We dont feel we can trust anyone after our experience to help us out of this 3. Were busy. With work, study and a family months can go by in the blink of an eye. A fellow at work recommended this book to me after we discovered we had both been victims of financial advising. He was almost ready to retire, but has had to work for longer. My husband and I are half way through the book in the space of 2 days, and already we have a plan for getting ourselves back on track – with our own initiative. I cant wait to finish and be back on our way to financial freedom. Thank you Scott.Jac

Never would have known that Phillip Morris has been the best performing company since 1925. Australia's low smoking rates are just a tip in the ocean compared to the rest of world. Personally I am not a smoker and Australian Super has divested from Phillip Morris due to ethical reasons but there is an argument that it is better it is done legally. Some investment tips are counterintuitive. Vaneck ETFs MOAT and GOAT have Phillip Morris.Who says you can't beat the mark

Watch the pbs program based on the ascent of money. niall ferguson follows the money to tell the human story behind the evolution of finance, from its origins in ancient mesopotamia to the latest upheavals on what he calls planet finance. bread, cash, dosh, dough, loot, lucre, moolah, readies, the wherewithal: call it what you like, it matters. to christians, love of it is the root of all evil. to generals, it's the sinews of war. to revolutionaries, it's the chains of labor. but in the ascent of money, niall ferguson shows that finance is in fact the foundation of human progress. what's more, he reveals financial history as the essential backstory behind all history. through ferguson's expert lens familiar historical landmarks appear in a new and sharper financial focus. suddenly, the civilization of the renaissance looks very different: a boom in the market for art and architecture made possible when italian bankers adopted arabic mathematics. the rise of the dutch republic is reinterpreted as the triumph of the world's first modern bond market over insolvent habsburg absolutism. and the origins of the french revolution are traced back to a stock market bubble caused by a convicted scot murderer. with the clarity and verve for which he is known, ferguson elucidates key financial institutions and concepts by showing where they came from. what is money? what do banks do? what's the difference between a stock and a bond? why buy insurance or real estate? and what exactly does a hedge fund do? this is history for the present. ferguson travels to post-katrina new orleans to ask why the free market can't provide adequate protection against catastrophe. he delves into the origins of the subprime mortgage crisis. perhaps most important, the ascent of money documents how a new financial revolution is propelling the world's biggest countries, india and china, from poverty to wealth in the space of a single generation–an economic transformation unprecedented in human history. yet the central lesson of the financial history is that sooner or later every bubble bursts–sooner or later the bearish sellers outnumber the bullish buyers, sooner or later greed flips into fear. and that's why, whether you're scraping by or rolling in it, there's never been a better time to understand the ascent of money.

I have come to enjoy Dr Ferguson immensely. His style and presentation of the materials is most excellent. His "House of Rothschild" is excellent too. To really enjoy this book, watch the YouTube videos "Money as Debt", a series of animated clips that are 100% accurate in how the economy is manipulated. Your mind will reel.beforecolumbus
Very good book, based on historical facts, interesting to read especially when you are into banking, finance etc. the book takes you through the entire history of finance, money etc. in a very exciting way, typically for ferguson its written in very reader- friendly style so even poeple who does not understand how banking system works will be able to make most of this book. A thick book but easy to read. Good explanation of how the events of the 17th century had such an impact on the beginnings of modern money. The innovations of the Goldsmith bankers of London are shown to be pivotal to how we are where we are today and the acceptance of the concept of virtual money.greenock-james

Is a must read for those who are interested in Finance!Nabil
The fidelity of the model is not good. Fidelity is lower than sony tv. Fidelity is fantastic This tv has a powerful bass. The bass is 500W PMP and it sounds amazing. I hate the jarring that occurs at higher bass output not a nice 3.1 surround sound with Dolby Digital and DTS decoding. I cant feel the surround effect at all.The cinematic surround effect that they have built in is not detectable My eye pains at high contrast levels. I need to navigate three levels of menus to reach contrast setting. Will Running at high contrast level consume more power and life of the display unit? The contrast shown by this tv is strickingly beautiful. the images are not clear at higher resolution. sony tv has better resolution then this tv. Changing resolutions in this tv is a pain. It has 802.11n and will give you the fastest internet performance. My internet connection is slow so this tv is not of much use. Internet connection is getting dropped by the tv. The 3d glasses are heavy on the nose. The 3d glasses are sometimes not detected. The active shutter 3d glasses are quite effective but expensive.Kiriti
