Although the author has done their best at attempting to sell socialism to those that read his work, I did not fall prey. I see the same tired arguments of how great socialism can be without reading any of the downsides. The first chapter read like a book of fiction. I am glad to see that the author pulled himself away from the fairy tale aspect of their belief and tried to back up their ideology with facts after the first chapter. I am still not sold.SCOTT

The intricacies of living in society and dealing with influences on the individual by the role of power and politics is central to Dunt's absorbing treatise. In essence the individual has the capacity to be a" free thinker" by way of Liberal individual uniqueness of thought and life experiences. As an adult I often enjoy reading young adult fiction and as a history teacher this book caught my attention. Set in WWII Germany a young Jewish girl suffers the worst losses to family and personal suffering. Her search for family and love are told against the post liberation of Europe by the Allies. She faces betrayal and prejudice in the new life she struggles to make for herself and her brother. This story is historically accurate in the details but has a plot twist that is a surprise.JERRY

I will say that the binding and paper used in the hardcover edition are first-rate, a pleasant surprise in today's publishing world.
