Reviews:
This is a good textbook if the homework questions do not come from the book itself. Our specific professor assigns homework for the class out of the book, if yours does not you will be fine, the information in the actual text appears to be the same as the "american" version but the questions at the end of the chapter are completely different.affolder2015

This book is a must for every Mechanical engineering student. It is simple, well organized, and interesting. One of the useful things in this book is the notes in the margins that help you find the definitions of concepts very easily. What I like the most about this book is the simplified maths in solving problems so that I can understand everything without a single word of my instructor. Moreover, the book contains formulas that are written next to the solved examples which makes it easier to be understood. I haven't found any dislikes in this book. Overall, this is a very nice book and I do recommend it.engrart

11. Chronicles Of Mechanical Engineering In The United States [Book]
Product Details:
From the time it was organized in 1880, the american society of mechanical engineers recorded aspects of the history of the mechanical engineering profession and the careers of some of its notable practitioners. the society's historical efforts were formalized in 1971 with the creation of a history and heritage committee. this volume commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the formation of that committee and collects, in a single place, many of the historical contributions published over the past fifty years in asme's flagship magazine, mechanical engineering. in preparation for the united states' bicentennial year, and later the society's centennial, the editors of mechanical engineering contracted with engineer-historian fritz hirschfeld for a long series of articles about the county's early mechanical engineering heritage and the lives of notable mechanical engineers, particularly those associated with asme's founding. hirschfeld's articles form the foundation of this volume. to supplement hirschfeld's work, the editors have added numerous other historical articles published in mechanical engineering. the engineering innovations described by these articles have been enormously important to the development of modern technological society, and the stories behind their development should be of interest to engineers interested in the history of their profession, as well as anyone interested in american history.

The problems in this book are absolutely designed such that to make you prepared for the exam to pass!araz5x
I started preparing for this exam a few months ago and quickly discovered the exam format change. PPI immediately came out with this book and advertized updated course material on their website. In reality they have neither updated this book or the course material on the website. All they did was remove problems from the 13th edition that used eqn not showing up on the NCEES handbook, bu tthere are grappling holes of stuff that shows up in the NCEES handbook that you will not find a single problem for in this book. You might as well buy the 13th equation and just skip sections that no longer show up in the NCEES handbook because this is just 2/3 of the 13th edition material.agapehomesinc_3
