***out now – the first book by matt morsia, the uk's #1 fitness vlogger***the sunday times top ten bestseller'powerfully dispels myths with science and humour – every gym bag deserves a copy' ross edgely, #1 bestselling author of the art of resilience and the world's fittest book'more fitness viewers than joe wicks . . . matt morsia trained for the olympics, beat an eating disorder and overcame depression. now he has published the 24/7 body, a book based on cutting-edge science which dispels the myths about fad diets and workouts' the sun'shattering diet myths and clearing up a wealth of misinformation' sunday times______________________________________ whatever your goals or your level of fitness, this book offers you a plan to make you look and feel great 24/7. i've tried every workout and fad diet so you don't have to. – as a former pe teacher, athlete, personal trainer and now one of the biggest fitness you – tubers in the world (a.k.a an absolute weirdo who films themselves doing stuff), the most common question i get from followers and even people in the street is, 'how do i get a body like yours?' people will almost whisper it, as if i'm going to usher them into a dark alleyway and reply with some kind of mystical secret. like they're expecting to be told that they need to drink 263ml of maple syrup three times a day whilst reading the complete works of shakespeare to their dog. other times they seem to want me to reveal a protocol of supplements, with an inference that i must be taking steroids or other drugs, because having a good body without chemicals is now seen by some as almost impossible. it's not. – this book is my attempt to shatter all of those myths and give it to you entirely straight. it is about understanding how to live your life in a more healthy, sustainable and happy way-and how to maintain that forever. and i'm not talking about becoming a monk and only eating lettuce. if you want to eat mc – donald's, go for it. eating crappy food doesn't make you fat and by the time you're done with the book you'll understand why. i want to arm you with your own set of tools so that you can tailor my methods and experiences to you and your own unique situation.
Reviews:
If you want to read about the writer it is fine, but for health and fitness useless, so not what I expectedsrob3182
If you want a book that delivers both humor and information, this is it. Matt does a fantastic job educating people on fitness and health, including several of his own anecdotes that truly help connect with the reader. Along with that, Matt greatly engages the audience in this true masterpiece of a book. If you want to learn how to improve yourself in terms of fitness and health, as well as truly have a great time, then you should truly read the book.AR
Really great book, lots of great information and very funny in parts. Couldn't put it down. Was great to read a book from someone so down to earth who tells it like it is.Cory.c

10. The Fitness Instructor's Handbook: A Professional's Complete Guide To Health And Fitness [Book]
Product Details:
The comprehensive resource for personal fitness trainers. the fitness instructor's handbook meets the needs of the wide audience of fitness professionals, aspiring trainers and individuals with a keen interest in fitness and sport. morc coulson discovered the sparsity of comprehensive references promoting industry professionalism. they had little practical information on designing gym-based cardiovascular and resistance exercise programs for clients. this second edition is updated and revised to address the needs of the "special populations" that trainers are seeing in greater numbers. this group includes children, older adults, those recovering from a stroke or heart attack, and sedentary, overweight, obese, pregnant or handicapped clients. all the references and recommended readings have been updated. the book is presented in two parts: part one, "theoretical knowledge for health and fitness" examines the skeletal system, joints, the muscular system; cartilage, ligaments and tendons; the nervous and endocrine systems, the body's energy systems, the heart and circulatory systems, the respiratory system, core stability, and the components and principles of fitness. part two, "practical application of health and fitness" covers screening for exercise and safety issues, behavioral change and goal setting, the components and induction of an exercise session, and monitoring exercise intensity (exercise, cardiovascular and resistance) along with program designs for free-weight and resistance machine exercises. addressing the requirements common to most fitness professional certifications in the u.s. and canada, the fitness instructor's handbook is filled with case studies, checklists, need-to-know reminders, mini tests and sample programs. tables and anatomy drawings support the authoritative text. all in all this book is an ideal reference for both new and established instructors as well as individuals in search of a sound, structured fitness program for personal use.

Reviews:
This book has surprised me. I picked it up at Ollies Bargain for $3 as a reference book. Figured it couldn’t hurt to have around since it did have some more technical language in it. Started reading it for my PT certification and find it goes a little too deep for most certifications but is actually very useful. It was odd that it starts with bones, but it does logically flow. It’s very applied. I have not completed the book but I like it’s utility and readability.mya.r

Product Details:
In tipping toward balance, a fitness trainers guide to stability and walking, tracy shares eight exercises and the reasons why these specific exercises have helped clients regain their balance. this leaves many prone to falls. training the body and doing exercises that strengthen the correct muscles, proprioception and spatial awareness is fall prevention. these particular exercises have helped clients stop tripping and falling and to regain the ability to feel safe in movement again. in tipping toward balance tracy shares some short stories of clients who all have assorted reasons for losing their balance and feeling unsafe in their daily footsteps. – in this book you will gain knowledge and learn exercises and tips to help you: feel safe walking – avoid falls – regain and strengthen your spatial awareness – help people at any age, including kids, not to lose their balance system strength – see muscle illustrations to help you understand the essential muscles to be strengthened – you do not have to exercise on the floor to strengthen your core. learn how. – and more a range of personal and specific factors may play a role in the body's balance and walking gait as they become off-kilter. this leaves people feeling unsafe in their movements, which, in turn, causes the walking gait to change and slow down because they feel out of balance or unstable. at this point, individuals may find themselves tripping often and/or falling down. that can be due to illness, lack of exercise, neurological challenges, or a diagnosed condition. in many of these cases, the body begins to move more slowly. you can feel unsafe in everyday movements, even just walking. – the center of the body, known as the core, must be built up in strength for the rest of the body to be able to perform movements at their best. frequently, building core strength is thought to be achievable only when you get down on the floor and do crunches. many clients with weakness or stability issues do not feel safe getting down to the floor. consequently, that leaves them thinking it is a lost cause to attempt to strengthen the core muscles. thankfully, this is not the truth.

Reviews:
The book is very inspiring and gives you a good workout plan . Instead of just doing random exercises in the gym Bill gives you a workout routine that you can tailor to your abilities . His diet plan is okay but you really can't stick to it for a long time .Its really not practical . I've been on his system for over 3 years and no I don't look like anyone in his book . What I am is in better shape than ever and people tell me how good I look . I think most of the people that are in the book do a lot more weight training than 45 minutes a day and 3 times a week. This is the second copy I purchased because the first copy I loaned out and you know how that goes. My suggestion is to by the book and read it . Use what you can and tailor your workout and diet to your life.inthearc0kiq
This is my second book….I wore out the first one! Bill Phillips approach to transforming your body is not by any means easy. If you have been a yo yo dieter like myself, then you have probably tried all of the miracle pills, silly soup diets and that sort of thing. You may have lost weight, but then gained back after the diet was over, right? Well this is a plan that requires exercise 6 days a week….and you say WHAT? WORK……6 DAYS A WEEK? WAIT! It consists of 3 days cardio and 3 days weight training. I do this at home. I didn't like to exercise, but now I feel great! I am gaining muscle and losing fat. It doesn't work overnight, but like Bill Phillips says……12 weeks to a better body! TRY IT…….You have nothing to lose but weight….and only muscle to gain!hoorayfortigger2
I were unable to find this book, but Walmart found a supplier and able to send it in a reasonable time frame. This book is in its second edition. Many stars and sports trainers uses it to motivate their players.Arthur
