Reviews:
I am a professional substance abuse therapist. I conduct intensive outpatient groups for recovering alcholics and addicts. One of my patients purchased this book hoping to learn even more than she was getting in group about her addiction. She talked about having drunk dreams that really scared her. She looked up the subject in this book and immediately got her answer. After telling other group members about this experience they went out and purchased the book. All were raving about it, so I decided I'd better take a look at it. This book is excellent! It is full of simple but invaluable information about the recovery process both physical and emotional. I would recommend it to any recovering person; their family and friends. I now recommend it to my to all my group members as a reference.judych217

Perfect for our Step11 book group.ledwus0
This book is being used for a women's 12 step group. I bought over 10 of the books for this purpose. The language of the book is very profound and we all agree that we have to really focus in order to get the meaning and internalize the words. I believe this is a book that best serves those who are willing to make the effort to read and reread to internalize the words. Its not a light 'pick-me-up' catchy phrase for the day. It requires real work. There have been many deep discussions and awarenesses for our group members as a result of reading this book together.cynthia_peace

Reviews:
Holding On by Rachael Brownell is a book that you do have to hold on to as you read. This book will grab you from page one and hold you down on the edge of your seat as you watch the pages turn and turn and turn some more until you reach the end. It has three main characters …. Becca Brad and Ethan. This is the story of Becca and her confusion of her feelings for Brad and Ethan. Once you begin reading it you are rooting for Brad but then you are rooting for Ethan. Although it's a beautiful love story it also has a bit of a disaster too. You may need a bit of tissue while reading it. It is a contemporary romance and it is fantastic!! I just loved reading it. In fact I will be re-reading it I loved it that much. I gave this book 5 stars but it truly deserves 10+. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is well written and there is so much loving feelings within it. When you do get to the end you are going to wonder What that's not the end! …. never fear …….. Sequel … I just can't wait for it. I look for that sequel and many more writings from Rachael Brownell.Cocos Reviews
