This book tells the story of the longest longitudinal research study ever to be recorded; the study continues today. 2000 was the last time of recordings, and of course with all life situations there are now less subjects available, due to circumstance of the natural: loss of subjects either lack of continued communication or death. I think this is seriously the best gift with part humor and part useful guidance for the receiver. Both parties will gain satisfaction from this book. The series call themselves as “a reference for the rest of us”, which helps identify with the mass target audience of helpless people. It also provides other source mediums such as their website and further reading that they recommend. I wouldn’t recommend this series that specialise on teaching physically demanding tasks such as dance or farming. Speechmaking and confience building may have a temporary effect when learnt from this series, but the contents quality is really upto the eye of the beholder. All I can say is that the spine is really annoying to keep open. They really should print them on spiral spines, especially if they are charging this much per book anyways.
