I bought this book for my husband and it was quite possibly the best thing I could have done! It has in depth descriptions of beer and recipes that allow you to recreate most of the beers you can buy in the store both here in NZ and from all over the world. It does mention ingredients that initially seemed hard to source in NZ but after a chat with a chap at the local brewing co-op my husband this was remedied and he is now happily on his way to creating his own worts and brews in my laundry! A happy husband makes a happy wife! And the taste testing isn't that bad either!Sherryn
I have been looking for a book that had commercial beer recipes. I bought a different book first and found it had mostly obscure microbrew recipes and not the high volume ones. This book has a good cross section of recipes including extract and all-gain based recipes for each of the 200 recipes in the book. The only con I could find is the Duvel recipe says it is the blending of two different fermentations, but the recipe only has one…hennesseystealth1957

I bought this book hoping to get the recipes for beers and ales such as Negra Modelo and Stella Artois. Unfortunately, most of the recipes are from microbreweries or beers you have never heard of. That doesn't mean they won't be fun to brew, just not what I was looking for. The good news is all recipes include extract and all grain versions.
