Reviews:
Great book!! I've listened to it on Audible three times now and loved it so much that I bought the hard copy as well just to highlight and keep for immediate reference. Some of the knowledge in this book, I have applied to my life and it has immediately changed it! He talks about setting up good systems for habits which is honestly a mind-blowing concept! It's so simple but yet I've never thought about it before. Everyone wants to immediately change their habits, myself included, but never have any systems in place to achieve this. This book shows you how to succeed at this. So highly recommended! I've never been a person who had a favourite book but now I am and this is it!Atomic Amy

Reviews:
The Power Of Habit was an interesting read into how our mind processes everyday thought and how we subconciously apply ourselves to our routines we create in life. Every chapter gives new insight & examples of individuals or businesses & how they have modelled these behaviours into successes or failures. It reitererates through out the book the cue-routine-reward system reminding us what creatures of habit we really are. It is not a workbook as such but more a compilation of studies through which I found to be quite inspirational reading about some peoples stories. I felt more self aware reading this book in my everyday actions & it was an eye opener into how our minds work.Electra Stojanovic

Reviews:
For years I felt my organizational habits and routines were a mild case of obsessive compulsive behavior. Although the same habits directly contributed to my profe success, I tried to hide them. This book explains clearly how important those habits and routines are in all areas. I am very glad I read it. Highly recommend!cidinv
I mainly give this book 4 stars because of how it engaged me in the tales of certain companies and studies. I feel it falls a little short in giving detailed advice to change habits.PATRICK
This was a great book, hard to put down. It explains how we do so much of what we do. I even bought another copy to give my son. It wasn't my intention when I started reading, but now I am using the ideas to work on not being so much of a workaholic.gunny-sloan

Great books at great prices, easy transactions smooth and reliable!Dee
I was first given this book by my music professor in college, to help me become a better, more proactive, forward-thinking musician. Well, at 22, you think you know everything, so I didn't take much of it to heart. Then I saw it here after I drank the Dave Ramsey Kool-Aid, and I can honestly say this book has done more for my relationships, communication skills, and short-term/long-term planning than any course, tool, or book ever written. If you want to become a more effective spouse, parent, friend, family member, leader, team member, or employee, BUY THIS BOOK and digest it slowly for the rest of your life.

Reviews:
Amazing book. Changed my life. Im on my second read through.tmajta_aebkwifpz
I'm still in the first chapter but I already can see and feel the direction this book tries to lead the reader in. I like Joyce Meyer and I like the fact that even though she is spiritual, she is not preachy. She offers real world advice and some scripture to support her line of thought. I haven't read the whole thing to make a full recommendation but I will say in this short amount of time the book already has me thinking about my habits, good and bad, and how I can make better use of my time and how procrastination robs us of a better future. Great buy.avis2783
Joyce Meyer is one of my favorite authors as well as ministers! Her books always leave me in a better state than I was teaching me how to think about what I'm thinking about and how to break some of the bad habits I have been so use to doing and replacing them with good habits so I can learn to enjoy every day life literally. I am able to reference back to this book whenever I feel myself start to get back to an old habit and remind myself of her teaching.STACIE

This book is magical and amazing in the way I receive information from the pages I have read so far. I have read her other books and have fallen into the habit of going over the authors I read and see when they release a new book. If I can I get it.dawne
Really loved this book. Definitely kept it light but personal enough to keep you going. Having a writer that is so open with their own downfalls in “self help” books really help you feel validated. Loved it!Kay
I highly recommend this book to everyone that tries to change too much too fast.Amyruns1717

I bought it as complimentary reading for my business. It really opens our eyes to things that otherwise seem common sense but we tend to overlook. I am really enjoying the book and am looking forward to reading the rest of it. The DVD that comes with it contains short films to help illustrate the points the author is trying to make. I would recommend it to all!!shortyie75
The book was a fantastic synopsis of the original. It was unfortunately unclear in the posting of the item that it was a miniature and it's therefore slightly overpriced but the product itself is great.sdbalsam

I’m not really a big self-help book reader but I am so glad I read this! It got a little repetitive towards the end and could of probably done without so many personal stories – however, I highly recommend and believe many people should apply these habits to their life. Read the kindle version and just bought the actual book so I can have a real copy to refer back to!allie.f
This book demystifies the reasons why communication just isn't working or trust has broken down.Helps explain how to build an Emotional Bank Account with others and develop trusting relationships. Helps clarify priorities and take us from 'hit and miss' in setting priorities to really traveling down the road we intend to be on rather than living a directionless life. This book is so good on so many levels. Sure, it's hard work to change habits but to get a road map like this means you are not operating in the dark. What wonderfully timeless wisdom. As relevant today as when it was written so many years ago. I keep revisiting it.Catherine

18. Mini Habits: Smaller Habits, Bigger Results [Book]
Product Details:
***a worldwide bestseller in 17 languages! *** lasting change for early quitters, burnouts, the unmotivated, and everyone else, too when i decided to start exercising consistently 10 years ago, this is what actually happened: i tried "getting motivated." it worked sometimes. – i tried setting audacious big goals. i almost always failed them. – i tried to make changes last. they didn't. – like most people who try to change and fail, i assumed that i was the problem. then one afternoon–after another failed attempt to get motivated to exercise–i (accidentally) started my first mini habit. i initially committed to do one push-up, and it turned into a full workout. i was shocked. this "stupid idea" wasn't supposed to work. i was shocked again when my success with this strategy continued for months (and to this day). i had to consider that maybe i wasn't the problem in those 10 years of mediocre results. maybe it was my prior strategies that were ineffective, despite being oft-repeated as "the way to change" in countless books and blogs. my suspicions were correct. is there a scientific explanation for this? as i sought understanding, i found a plethora of scientific studies that had answers, with nobody to interpret them correctly. you can succeed without the guilt, intimidation, and repeated failure associated with such strategies as "getting motivated," new year's resolutions, or even "just doing it." in fact, you need to stop using those strategies if they aren't giving you great results. most popular strategies don't work well because they require you to fight against your subconscious brain (a fight not easily won). it's only when you start playing by your brain's rules and taking your human limitations seriously–as mini habits show you how to do–that you can achieve lasting change. what's a mini habit? a mini habit is a very small positive behavior that you force yourself to do every day; its "too small to fail" nature makes it weightless, deceptively powerful, and a superior habit-building strategy. you will have no choice but to believe in yourself when you're always moving forward. the barrier to the first step is so low that even depressed or "stuck" people can find early success and begin to reverse their lives right away. and if you think one push-up a day is too small to matter, i've got one heck of a story for you! aim for the first step – they say when you aim for the moon, you'll land among the stars. well, that doesn't make sense, as the moon is closer than the stars. i digress. the message is that you should aim very high and even if you fall short, you'll still get somewhere. i've found the opposite to be true in regards to productivity and healthy behaviors. when you aim for the moon, you won't do anything because it's too far away. but when you aim for the step in front of you, you might keep going and reach the moon. i've used the mini habits strategy to get into the best shape of my life, read 10x more books, and write 4x as many words. it started from requiring one push-up from myself every day. how ridiculous is that? not so ridiculous when you consider the science of the brain, habits, and willpower. the mini habits system works because it's how our brains are designed to change. note: this book isn't for eliminating bad habits (some principles could be useful for breaking habits). mini habits is a strategy to create permanent healthy habits in: exercise, writing, reading, thinking positively, meditating, drinking water, eating healthy foods, etc. lasting change won't happen until you take that first step into a strategy that works. give mini habits a try. you won't look back.

I can't recommend this book enough. It's changing my life and that of my friends as they are inspired by my progress and enthusiasm. I love it.scruffypanda
This book compiles a wide variety of mindsets and solutions to improve forming habits that work in everyday life. There are a wide variety to choose from, and note which have worked in the past. The author also puts forward the idea that we are all motivated by different internal and external expectations. She has divided up these into 'Four Tendencies'.. which can help know your personality and which approaches to creating new habits may have more success. I found this book very helpful in recognising what traits established the habits I could keep in the past.LetaBee

20. Making Habits, Breaking Habits: How To Make Changes That Stick [Book]
Product Details:
Habits are more powerful than your will – if you know how to make them work for you two strings are hanging from a ceiling, one at the centre of the room, one near the wall. you’re asked to tie the strings together, but you can’t reach both at the same time. you look around the room and see a table and a pair of pliers. how would you solve the problem? when confronted with challenges, most people let habits rule them (in this case, ignoring the pliers, the creative tool at your disposal). that is not surprising when you realise that at least a third of our waking hours are lived on auto-pilot – ruminating over past events, clicking through websites trawling for updates and the like. such unconscious thoughts and actions are powerful. drawing on hundreds of fascinating studies, psychologist jeremy dean – the mind behind the hugely popular and insightful website psyblog – shares how the new brain science of habit can be harnessed to your benefit, whether you’re hoping to eat moreveg, take an evening run, clear out your email backlog, or be more creative when faced with challenges at work and at home.
