Reviews:
From the first two light novels it feels like it will be just another isekai, but the ending of volume two changed things up and it really had me hooked. So much so, I went out and purchased volumes 3-8, and bought volume 9 digitally when it came out on 1/21/2021. This one in particular was a good set up for meeting cliff later on. I also like that they included the side stories in proper places to string the reader on for a more coherent story. This novel has been around for a awhile now but being able to experience in physical light novel format is something wonderful.JERIMAH

Another manga about being reincarnated in another world. The story and art is fantastic along with each character's unique personality. I dropped a star due to the book having a bent back cover even though it is considered to be in "new" condition.mrbryanmaster

14. Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation Of A World War Ii Fighter Pilot [Book]

Product Details:
The parents of james leininger were first puzzled and then disturbed when their two-year-old son began screaming out chilling phrases during recurrent nightmares, such as, "plane on fire! little man can't get out!" the centerpiece of a loving family of three, james was a happy, playful toddler who had only just begun stringing together sentences. determined to understand what was happening to their son, bruce and andrea set off on a journey of discovery that was to rock them to their core. for the more they researched the arcane comments and fragmented details little james revealed, the more they were drawn inescapably to a shocking conclusion: that james was reliving the life of james huston, a world war ii fighter pilot who was killed in the battle for iwo jima– over sixty years ago! through painstaking research and conversations with war veterans and surviving members of james huston's family, bruce and andrea were forced to confront their skepticism and reexamine their entire belief system. in the process, they not only managed to solve the mystery of their son's statements. they also uncovered revelations about james huston's life and wartime experiences that could finally bring peace and healing to his loved ones, decades after his death.this book features stunning drawings from james leininger illustrating his unshakable memories, photos that portray the eerie resemblance between young james and the adult james huston, and a foreword from world-renowned past lives expert carol bowman. in soul survivor, readers will come to know and believe in the special child who harbors the soul of a man who died in 1945.
Reviews:
This is a great true story. One that will open your mind to reincarnation. Good subject for those who want to explore what one family went through with their young son and how he kept recalliing a former life in WW2 as a pilot. This child and his parents were featured on several TV shows and that peaked my interest. Believable story for sure. I rate it low because it was poorly written. Not errors and such but they wrote it like a story book telling too much information that is not necessary. A good book gets to the meat of the topic. I think they were hoping to get a movie contract. After you read it you feel you have wasted so much time reading a book with lots of frill and daily activities that your not necessary. Written more to fill up the book. I want to read more direct info on the child and his relationship to his former life.pokerqueen2win
Great read. The author filled out the book with material about extended family of the boy which wasn't very interesting to me but could be to others. I wasn't at all interested in the mother and sisters getting together with their mother and what they called this clicky group nor what they talked about. The rest of the book was compelling with all the evidence stacking up about the young boy being a reincarnated soul. It was easy to read and the things the boy came up with gave me chills whilst reading the facts and stories he was expressing. Def worth the money I paid to read this amazing storybest3903
James wasn't even 2 years old when he began having nightmares about being in a crashed plane. Over the next 3 years, he gave details, names and places of a WW2 pilot (also called James) whose plane crashed when it was shot down by the Japanese. James's father, totally sceptical at first, begins to trace the people his little son spoke about and bit by bit discovers that his son really did fly a plane during the war in the Pacific in 1944. You don't need to believe in reincarnation to find this book mind-blowing, on any level it's a great story.Lynda

16. Reincarnation Stories [Book]

Product Details:
Kim deitch made his name as an “underground” cartoonist — a contemporary of spiegelman, crumb, et. al. — but over the last three decades has simply been one of the most vital graphic novelists the medium has to offer, including acknowledged classics such as the boulevard of broken dreams, alias the cat, and the search for smilin’ ed. his new graphic novel, reincarnation stories, feels like the apotheosis of his career, an ambitiously sprawling tour de force exploring the concept of reincarnation. when deitch was four years old, he began having memories of a time when he wore glasses. the problem was, he had never actually worn glasses. then, one day, young deitch is sitting outside his apartment building when an elderly man approaches him, excited. “is it possible? sid! sid pincus! good god, man! you’ve changed. you’re smaller! and where are your glasses?” from here, deitch weaves a dizzying path of reincarnation stories that spans the past, present, and future of human history, with appearances by frank sinatra, monkey gods, a forgotten cowboy star of the silver screen, a tribe of native americans that successfully resettled on the moon, and a parallel reality where deitch himself is the megasuccessful creator of a series of kids books about a superhero called young avatar, who helps marginalized souls lead better lives and in his secret identity works as a carpenter. deitch’s storytelling mastery has never been more fully on display that this rich tapestry of a graphic novel, certain to be a staple on 2019 “best of ” year-end lists.

Yet another masterpiece by one of the most unique artist/writers in the comix universe. Especially remarkable as it riffs so seamlessly with all Deitch's obsessions – early Hollywood films, talking cats, romance and mind-warping connections between characters. Also a lovely homage to Deitch's late great artist companions in the 60s/70s underground scene.grsims123

Reviews:
Yet another masterpiece by one of the most unique artist/writers in the comix universe. Especially remarkable as it riffs so seamlessly with all Deitch's obsessions – early Hollywood films, talking cats, romance and mind-warping connections between characters. Also a lovely homage to Deitch's late great artist companions in the 60s/70s underground scene.grsims123
