The Dance of Anger has been a popular book for many, many years. Harriet Lerner is spot on in helping people understand the dynamics of relationships, and the affect on people when a change in a relationship occurs. It is a wonderful book.bethavra
I love Harriet Learners work. This is the second audio book I have purchased of hers. I was a little disappointed that all of the stories in the "Dance of Anger" I had already listened to in my previous purchase. I still enjoyed listening, but some variety in the stories would have made this an excellent book, instead of just a good book.
Read this book years ago and enjoyed it very much. Have offered it to a family member for years and finally figured out they don't like reading so decided to get the CD. All these years later and still sharing…….the book affected my life in such a positive was that I enjoyed sharing it with others ( =funnyface642

18. The Anger Workbook [Book]

Product Details:
Don't let anger take control! most people stereotype anger by assuming that it always results in shouting, slamming fists, or throwing things. however, anger is not that one-dimensional. – in fact, all of the statements below represent feelings of anger:when i am displeased with someone i shut down any communication and withdraw. – i get very tense inside as i tackle a demanding task. – i feel frustrated when i see someone else having fewer struggles and i.there are times when my discouragement just makes me want to call it quits. – i can be quite aggressive in my business pursuits or even when just playing a game. being angry can involve such emotional expressions as frustration, irritability, annoyance, aggravation, blowing off steam, or fretting. – the good news is anger can be managed. – understand how pride, fear, loneliness, and inferiority feed your anger – uncover and eliminate the myths that perpetuate anger-"letting go of my anger means i am conceding defeat" or "no one understand my unique problems." identify learned patterns or relating, thinking, and behaving in your life that influence your anger.

Reviews:
The book was not based upon a Christian world view at all. It is based upon Eastern Mysticism. The book focuses on self and self only…and its advice will little more than create the perfect narcissist. So beware, the counsel from the book is very secular and self-centered.

This book has too much valuable information to grasp by reading it through and then putting it down. I read a chapter and then adopted the suggestions. I then utilized and implemented them through the following week. Quite enlightening and insightful. Interestingly anger seems to justify and substantiate itself by also perpetuating itself. If you have anger issues, do yourself and those around you the favor.ricko1962
