At first I was a little confused because the cover and chapter titles look different than the U.S. edition. However, the book's content is exactly like the U.S. edition. The book arrived in very good condition and was reasonably priced, making this a great choice for college students looking for a cheaper alternative to the school bookstore.tatti1

Reviews:
This is the best biology text ever! I've never found a better text on this topic, even as a bio major in college. The huge number of fabulous illustrations make it engaging for children to learn complex material. I would say this book would be typically appropriate for middle-school to high-school kids, though my much younger homeschooling child, who is very "into" cellular biology, absolutely loves it. We had to get a second copy because he wore out the first. After he read this text (many times!), he has moved on to Essential Cell Biology, another great text (though it is college level). Exploring The Way Life Works remains a family favorite, and it easily wins 5 stars. It is well worth the price. Please note that the other Ebay review (the one star review) is meant for the SELLER, and is not about the book! Exploring the Way Life Works is excellent!gracepsych

Each chapter gives a list of objectives and and vocabulary words which are great study tools. The labs instructions are clear and easy to follow and are given in the student book – although the lab manual would be a definite asset for keeping things easily organized. We loved the often complex yet beautiful pictures that accompany every chapter. This course peaked the interest of my 9'th grader who insisted he wasn't interested in Biology.
