I used Tide detergent exclusively for decades. I was pleased with how well it cleaned and the pleasing scent. The new “original” scent is a dealbreaker. It is way too strong and not pleasing to smell. It is ridiculous label this scent as original. I would not have purchased it if I realized I had changed it. Here’s an idea: leave the original as the actual original. Make other, new scents and label them as something else. Let supply and demand determine whether you continue to make this new awful scent. When I heard Tide and Oxi had combined forces, there was no hesitation on my part. To have two dynamic stain fighters, would make taking care of my uniforms and other clothes easier. Wow was I wrong on that. That being said this is a decent liquid detergent. Yet the costs associated, I can’t say I’m all that impressed. Good yes, great nope. This is a effective product, yet so many other laundry detergents are. I will say this has one of the freshest scents out there. It really makes your clothes scream clean. Then again so do a lot of competitor’s. If you can get this on sale, perhaps this could be a viable option. I just think at its cost, you’re paying more for the same in many respects.michael.r

I used to have a stain treatment that was miraculous: Tide with Bleach Alternative, Oxyclean and Borax. Soak. Soak a lot. It got out nearly everything. For oily stains I used Dawn for pretreatment. Double rinse to get out the scents because I am sensitive to scents. Then they changed the smell of all the Tides, and I just couldn't stand it. But I had to donate all the clothes that I had washed in the new scented Tide because I couldn't get the smell out. I washed them in baking soda, I soaked them in vinegar. Everything smelled even WEEKS after I had used scented Tide. I even had to stop using my dry cleaner/laundry because it was bought out by Tide. Even though my husband's shirts weren't washed in scented detergent, they came back smelling like Tide! I couldn't even go in the store because the smell is so overpowering. If people want their clothes to smell, let them use those scented dryer products. Let the rest of us be scent-free in peace.KCTX

Tried this on cloth diapers to remove heavy ammonia smell. I did not use it in combination with Rockin Green detergent but with our normal detergent. The cloth diapers come out clean but the heavy ammonia smell was back after one use. I have since used a 1/4 cup or so of bleach with the wash and afterwards run an extra cycle and that seemed to clear the ammonia smell for now. We air dry the covers and dry the inserts in the dryer. Someone also suggested to dry the diapers out in the sun, which I will try depending on how long until the smell comes back. Overall, this detergent worked great on my cloth diapers. It took out ALL traces of odor and without leaving a heavy scent and cleaned them very well. In fact, RockNGreen is either unscented or comes with a very light scent that completely washes out in the washing machine. It can also be used on clothing. This detergent is great for people with sensitive skin, even people who cannot tolerate even a small amount of fragrance. I only used it on my son's cloth diapers because it is a little expensive. Performance For cloth diapers, this was the best detergent I found and one of the least expensive (although compared to regular detergent it is expensive). Scent There are several different scents to choose from, but all of them wash completely out in the wash and leave your clothes or diapers without fragrance or scent. Just clean clothes. As an avid soccer player, my life has been improved by this detergent as I was previously hand washing with a laundry bar as a prewash in order to remove odour, which long term, because of frequency of use, was causing damage to fabrics. For particularly nasty equipment, I do a long soak. (I do the same for cat blankets and have even had some success with cat urine, though that requires some extra work, including a water only rinse to start and fully drying between extra long detergent soaks thereafter.) For "usual" post-game cleaning, I use a long wash cycle. Express wash cycles don't cut it, probably because the enzyme has insufficient time to act. It's also important, I've found, to use warm water to maximize benefits. Fabric colors have been well-maintained, as has fabric integrity. Tried this on cloth diapers to remove heavy ammonia smell. I did not use it in combination with Rockin Green detergent but with our normal detergent. The cloth diapers come out clean but the heavy ammonia smell was back after one use. I have since used a 1/4 cup or so of bleach with the wash and afterwards run an extra cycle and that seemed to clear the ammonia smell for now. We air dry the covers and dry the inserts in the dryer. Someone also suggested to dry the diapers out in the sun, which I will try depending on how long until the smell comes back. Overall, this detergent worked great on my cloth diapers. It took out ALL traces of odor and without leaving a heavy scent and cleaned them very well. In fact, RockNGreen is either unscented or comes with a very light scent that completely washes out in the washing machine. It can also be used on clothing. This detergent is great for people with sensitive skin, even people who cannot tolerate even a small amount of fragrance. I only used it on my son's cloth diapers because it is a little expensive. Performance For cloth diapers, this was the best detergent I found and one of the least expensive (although compared to regular detergent it is expensive). Scent There are several different scents to choose from, but all of them wash completely out in the wash and leave your clothes or diapers without fragrance or scent. Just clean clothes. As an avid soccer player, my life has been improved by this detergent as I was previously hand washing with a laundry bar as a prewash in order to remove odour, which long term, because of frequency of use, was causing damage to fabrics. For particularly nasty equipment, I do a long soak. (I do the same for cat blankets and have even had some success with cat urine, though that requires some extra work, including a water only rinse to start and fully drying between extra long detergent soaks thereafter.) For "usual" post-game cleaning, I use a long wash cycle. Express wash cycles don't cut it, probably because the enzyme has insufficient time to act. It's also important, I've found, to use warm water to maximize benefits. Fabric colors have been well-maintained, as has fabric integrity. I sprayed this on the garage floor that smelled like dog urine, let it dry and sprayed again. A couple hours later, the smell of dog urine was gone and so was the musty stench! I have used this on tile floors, vinyl furniture, countertops, baseboards, door knobs, toilets (inside and out), refrigerator handles and more…NO STICKY RESIDUE!!! Although it does not have a lemon fresh scent, it does NOT smell bad! It has a light scent of thyme oil that disappears not long after surface is dry. I’ve been using this detergent since my son was born and I absolutely loved the original ALL baby scent that smelled like baby! I purchased a new bottle of detergent recently and while I was doing a load of laundry I had noticed that the new bottle smelled different than the other. I smelled both the old and new scent to compare. It made me think that I had bought the wrong kind and or someone had tampered with the bottle that I recently purchased. I was skeptical at first to use this laundry detergent as it’s free of dyes and perfumes yet claims to remove odors. So being skeptical, I used this for a load of laundry- all while hoping for a miracle. It’s tough to find products that do what they claim to do so I didn’t have high hopes. This is the perfect laundry detergent for those tough stains that your regular detergent has left behind. It also comes with a fresh scent fragrance and brighter clothing. My significant other only wears white tees, and I have about 4 shirts that have not come clean from when he worked on the mower this past summer. I pre-treated the grass and grease stains with the detergent before throwing in to wash, and was pleasantely surprised that both stains came completely out. One shirt has a spaghetti stain that I missed, so I retreated that shirt, and voila it is out as well. I also noticed that these 4 shirts have come cleaner and whiter than his other tees, so I am now rewashing the rest just to get brighter whites back. I didn't use bleach because it has been turning these shirts dingy colored. I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome of his older white tees, so All Stainlifter has given some life to the shirts and will buy me some time before buying new ones. I feel like this is a great product for individuals who have very sensitive skin or are allergic to fragrances. It washes clothes well and it's all you need it to you. My partner and I are very active so most of our laundry is work out gear which is usually soiled in sweat and dirt, so we need something to combat that. This didn't do a superb job at removing those hard sweat stains/smells. I do think in order for this to work for us, we have to use some kind of pre-soak or stain remover before throwing it in the wash (an extra step that we don't usually worry about with other brands). But if we were washing regular wear clothes or maybe even delicates, I would use this detergent. I will keep this on hand for when relatives/friends visit and want to do a load of their laundry since it's fragrance-free and still good for all skin/allergy concerns.Jessica86396716

I have had Psoriasis in my neck area where the clothes have the closest skin contact and rubs against the skin on the neck. Harsh laundry Detergents makes it worse. I have used this detergent for quite some time and been happy with it. However, the new green cap is absolutely terrible…bad enough for me to switch to a different product. The instructions say to fill to "Line 3" or "Line 5" and there is not a "Line 3" or "Line 5" on the cap. There aren't any measuring lines on the cap…so no clue how much to add to the laundry. It's also very messy, with the detergent dripping out when you put the cap back on. It's a terrible step back in packaging. I pay extra to have a better product. As a family of 6 that just inherited an estate – we see a lot of laundry. Mom here more than anyone. I’ve been on a mission to stay on top of it since a recent move and these make it super easy to do quick loads and go on. I don’t feel the need to look over every toddler top to make sure it came out clean or check the young boys knees for residual stains. I pre treat as I see problem areas but for the most part I just toss & wash. With these pods I can pop them into the drum when I pull out the freshly laundered load and then when I tell the kids to pop their piles in they can just hit start and be done. I did have a little trouble opening the bag so it wasn’t really resealed for us but they didn’t last long here anyway with the amount of clothing we go through. My husband works in construction and has some clothes where the smells seem baked in but this is undoing months of damage there and keeping the newer pieces fresh which is important and saves me the step of having to add another product in with the detergent. We foster cats and kittens, so we have a lot of heavily soiled towels, blankets, etc. My husband also works within an industrial industry, and his clothes can get pretty gross and stinky. This is my go-to detergent for all laundry, and especially wool base layers and socks. For wool, I always hang dry. But one warning, don't stack these bottles on top of each other, at least not in the upright position. The bottom of the bottle can crack from the pressure of the cap of the bottle beneath it. Can't remember if I had them stacked 2 high or 3 high. Luckily I caught the leak before it caused too much of a mess, but I did lose about 1/2 a bottle.itmy

I keep a minimum of 3 bottles of this on hand at all times! I have one in the shower and one bottle in each of the other bathrooms. I use it to keep my curly hair from looking frizzy. So after I get out of the shower and also on my dry hair, I will put about the size of a quarter dollap of this condtioner in my left hand, then rub my hands together and work the conditioner into every strand I can ! It really works and my hair does not feel greasy. Before using this product, I used Aussie Spray Gel. Smells great, works pretty good. But became hard to find. I'm going to try to write this review without crying… the entire [brand:aussie] hair care line caused my hair to fall out and irritated my scalp so bad I scratched till I bled.. it got to the point where I needed my drs help because I was embarrassed, thought maybe alopecia. At first my dr. thought it was just a pregnancy symptom however when it continued after pregnancy he made me bring in my entire face,skin, body and hair routine to find out that the entire [brand:aussie] line contained an ingredient called dm dm hydantion which causes irritations and hair loss. BEWARE online the ingredient lists DO NOT SHOW this ingredient but it is on the bottle's ingredient list itself. My rating is a 1-star since I can't find Mountain Spring. It's a 5-star product. Several years ago you switched the original scent to Mountain Spring. I hate what you now call the Original Scent (and you really shouldn't do that since it ISN'T the original scent). And now I can't found the Mountain Spring scent anywhere. I'm going to have to go to another brand (and I've been a loyal Tide user for 40 plus years) if I can't find this soon. Since you are able to make an apparently unlimited number of Tide options, I don't know why you can't continue this one. If the sales are 'low' for it, it's probably because it hasn't been readily available to purchase since you switched it over. I love Tide, that is the only laundry detergent I ever use, this is about the whole shipping process! I ordered 2 bottles of Tide and a bunch of other items, everything came really fast.They get 5 stars for that, however, bottles were not in plastic bags and one of them was cracked on the cover which made it leak all over my other items and the box itself was saturated with it not to mention one bottle was only a little more than half full. As far as the picture I’ve attached, keep in mind that I had already taken out a bunch of the items in the box including the tide with the broken top. I just don’t understand why they can’t be put in a plastic bag before being shipped, it would cause a lot less stress and problems and negative reviews. Please put liquid items in a plastic bag before shipping! Who knows what happens to these poor packages once they leave the warehouse, I would be willing to pay extra to not have the hassle of cleaning everything when it arrives. Everything else was fine after I wiped it all down. Just Please! Thank you. P.S. Also, there was an issue with a package of q-tips from a different box that came the same day from Walmart, as you can see they were kind of crushed but that was the only problem and I’m pretty much over that one.Cheryl

I used to have a stain treatment that was miraculous: Tide with Bleach Alternative, Oxyclean and Borax. Soak. Soak a lot. It got out nearly everything. For oily stains I used Dawn for pretreatment. Double rinse to get out the scents because I am sensitive to scents. Then they changed the smell of all the Tides, and I just couldn't stand it. But I had to donate all the clothes that I had washed in the new scented Tide because I couldn't get the smell out. I washed them in baking soda, I soaked them in vinegar. Everything smelled even WEEKS after I had used scented Tide. I even had to stop using my dry cleaner/laundry because it was bought out by Tide. Even though my husband's shirts weren't washed in scented detergent, they came back smelling like Tide! I couldn't even go in the store because the smell is so overpowering. If people want their clothes to smell, let them use those scented dryer products. Let the rest of us be scent-free in peace.KCTX

It is way too strong and not pleasing to smell. It is ridiculous label this scent as original. I would not have purchased it if I realized I had changed it. When I heard Tide and Oxi had combined forces, there was no hesitation on my part. To have two dynamic stain fighters, would make taking care of my uniforms and other clothes easier. Wow was I wrong on that. That being said this is a decent liquid detergent. Yet the costs associated, I can’t say I’m all that impressed. Good yes, great nope. This is a effective product, yet so many other laundry detergents are. I will say this has one of the freshest scents out there. It really makes your clothes scream clean. Then again so do a lot of competitor’s. If you can get this on sale, perhaps this could be a viable option. I just think at its cost, you’re paying more for the same in many respects.michael.r

I wanted to love this product. I’m a huge fan of every other Mrs. Meyers product I’ve ever purchased, and I’ve almost exclusively used this brand of hand soap and dish soap for years. I am a fan of the lavender laundry products, which are the only other ones I’ve used. This particular scent just doesn’t do it for me. I think if it were used on baby laundry I might associate it with the scent of babies, but honestly it smells a little bit like spit up. I even tried diluting it with some unscented detergent and it still left my laundry smelling faintly of sour milk instead of clean laundry. It did clean dirt from a particularly soiled load of yard work clothes, but the smell makes it difficult to find a use for…particularly since the scent does linger.Haley W.

This detergent is pleasant on the olfactory system. I am exceedingly sensitive to strong smelling detergents and am not deterred by this scent; it's light and welcoming. The detergent cleaned my clothes well and didn't leave behind any detergent residue on my clothing. 3 days later and my clothes are still smelling clean and refreshed. I haven't had any allergic reactions to this detergent as well. I'm sensitive to practically everything. I often get rashes from any strong chemical detergents and those with a lot of perfumes. I am very pleased with my purchase. The kids and myself can all use the same detergent. What a relief! Also, it came in a great size, it should last us a while. I wish I could figure out exactly what kind of flower used in the scent so I can better describe it. It does not smell anything like other baby detergents (Dreft, All Baby,Pyrex, etc). The tin is good quality as well and can be reused after. I like that the ingredients are simple and there is no added scent. This is by far my favorite natural laundry soap out of the several that I have tried. There is a faint soap scent, but I do anticipate that soap will have some sort of scent rather than being absolutely odorless. This smell is scarcely perceptible to me despite the fact that I am generally extremely sensitive to chemical smells and fragrances. It's been in use for a few weeks. My clothing's colors are holding up incredibly well as well. The odors are effectively eliminated, and they never return. Other than a fresh scent, it doesn't leave any lingering fragrance on my garments. I really wanted to like this detergent, my name is Nelly on top of that. But if I could, I would give this soap zero stars. I bought the extra large bulk bucket from Costco on top of that. First if all, one tiny scoop is not enough for most jobs, specially cloth diapers, you will run into problems down the line. I also love where I have very hard water, so this did nt cut it Second of all, this soap is too harsh and abrasive. Ask the clothes I own that got washed with this soap from that period of time faded incredibly. All the colors got dull, blacks got Grey and whites got yellowed. Cotton fabric got dry and started ripping easily. I ruined 70% of my clothes, which is sad and infuriating. This soap has amazing reviews, but this was not my personal experience.
