Very nice charcoal grill for the price, large & spacious. But they need to fix a few manufacturing errors. When assembling i ran into a few problems. 1st, they supply a wrench to tighten the swivel casters. The wrench is stamped steel and thin, the wrench is not the problem. Once u tighten the casters down by hand there is not enough space ti insert the wrench. Vise grips to the rescue ! 2nd., the handle for tha ash tray did not line up with them holes on the tray even though the holes were oval they were still to close together. I had to file about 1/6 of a inch off each hole before icould get the screws in the handle.3rd., and the one that will cause damge when assembling is the warming grill. The linkages were bent with the wrong angle and the wholes which they gointo were too tight. When i went to install i used a lot of force trying to get the links in the holes. As i was attemping to set the links i heard cracking , the warming grill was bending slightly because off the pressure of getting the links in the holes. Needless to say i already have small chips of porcelain fall off of the grill. (Would that be considered a manufacturing defect?) It took two trys removing the links and bending them to correct the angle, I also had to drill out the frame holes just a little. So be aware of that warming grate. Make sure you do not have to any force to set the links in the frame?Mechp
Size of the grill is pretty good, quality looks good as well, arrived dented and bent. dents around the body and some of the guides for the grill were bent. When I contacted Customer service they offer a refund/exchange and somebody can pick it up. Sounds good but I'm not at home to pack it. When asked if they would do partial refund so I buy some tools to fix it, they offer 5% refund, hahahaha seriously????Os
I can't say what is liked, as my husband has not yet used it due to the hood not being level. It was a father's day gift and he's still using his kettle weber. When I insisted he used it or I would return it I thought he said return. I was first told Walmart does not pick up items that are being returned. Asked to speak to a supervisor who said, not true and arranged a pickup. Only problem is it had to be dismantled and in a box. My husband did not store original box in garage and it is now not usable. Keep your original box intact, incase of a return. Now he has decided to use it. Will give an update on whether or not it functioned well with uneven hood. Also, beware of HANDY. I had two appointments for assembly and two no shows. Pros: This set come with a beautiful case. I only used two items from the set, spatula and tongs. The spatula is very sturdy and long enough for the grill so you're not over the fire much. Deepening on the size of burger or flat item, it allows you to flip two at the same time. There's also a serated edge for your use. Cons: The tongs, which is also long enough so you won't get burned, isn't as sturdy as the spatula. I found myself struggling to grabbed most grill items, rib slab, chicken, kebab, and pulling a pork shoulder. It just could be made better at the grasp of the tongs. Very flimsy. I got this set for my husband. He loves you grill and has never had a nice set of grill tools. These come in a nice box so you can keep everything in one place. He is notorious for leaving the tools outside but now that he has a place to keep them, he is happy to put them away. The tools are very sturdy and well made. It comes with an extra brush head. The tongs do not lock closed so it's hard to get them back in the case. It would be nice to have an extra basting head as well since they seem to wear out. A great portable grill for the RV, camping or a day at the park. The locking lid keeps everything in place during transport. Relatively easy to clean both the inside and outside. I would recommend a 20lb tank connection hose if you’re taking it for the weekend or longer. The small propane bottles don’t last that long. The only issue I found was the igniter switch box doesn’t have a bottom cover in it. Be careful not to grab the bottom of the box when igniting because the spark will jump to your fingers (found out the hard way). All in all a great little grill at an affordable price.Addam K
Purchased towards the end of summer and just used it for the first time. Flame dies and goes out, even on high. I'm assuming this is the same regulator issue that everyone else wrote about. I expected better quality and at least a handful of uses before there would be any issues.JakeS19
I bought this a month ago and am so unhappy I did. It has the ability to function on high only. If you like to cook at temps say less than 600 degrees F then choose a different grill. This grill flames out at any other setting leaving dangerous unturned propane just spewing everywhere. If there is the slight less breeze at all it will not work at all. I bought this grill because I’ve seen others similar to it while camping at different places. And people liked them. But this is a cheap knock off copy of a good grill. The metal is much thinner. The burner is one of those thin u shaped pipes with holes drilled into it. Not cast. I’ve bought lots of Cabelas branded stuff in the past and liked it. But they shouldn’t have allowed their name on this thing.Rick W
