3. The Four Magic Moves To Winning Golf: The Classic Instructional By Golf's Greatest Teacher [Book]

Product Details:
The legendary golf instructional, available again. this is, along with harvey penick's little red book, the book golf professionals turn to." thirty years ago i was recommending joe dante's book the four magic moves to winning golf as a must read for aspiring pga professionals. what dante said in '62 has influenced many of the game's finest teachers. dante was a visionary."–gary wiren, author of new golf mind when published, the four magic moves to winning golf radically changed the way many players thought about the golf swing. dante's system showed how simple it was to improve one's game, and at the same time gave the golfer one of the most comprehensive analyses of swing mechanics ever published. now, thirty-three years after its original publication, main street is proud to reissue this classic instructional. dante begins by sweeping out all the misconceptions of the game. "if good golf is to be learned and the poor player is to improve, a purging must take place, painful as it may be." dante discusses a few basics of grip and stance, and then he gets to the heart of his book, the four magic moves. as he reveals each of the moves, dante focuses on the physical checkpoints so that any golfer can make sure that his or her swing is on the right track.the four magic moves to winning golf is straightforward and easy to understand, yet unlike other golf books it is irreverent and audacious in its approach to mastering the game. the publication of this rediscovered classic is sure to establish joe dante's reputation as one of golf's greatest teachers.

CLASSIC COACHING MANUAL8782johnl
Unless you are into paying tons of money to golf instructors I suggest you look into this. Along with Ben Hogans basics (which is a must) this book will solve many problems (over the top, lack of lag and power). I read and reread many parts. I put sticky tape on the essential and most important parts and there are many. Joe Dante really has it figured out and addresses all the crucial points that plague the duffer. When I incorporated many of the techniques I was shocked beyond belief at how straight and powerful I was swinging and the ball flight was doing what it was supposed to do. Highly recommend……. I've ordered several as I like to share them with my friends….I may need more.savanna-480

Really gets you thinking….jbsoccer17
The book was in perfect condition. Like new. The content has made a difference in the way I play golf and the way I enjoy playing golf. It's all about the mental side. I didn't give that side of it enough credit, always having swing thoughts in my mind that I thought would work consistently. At the end of the day, I was mentally exhausted, physically beat, and continually frustrated. The concepts in this book have made a difference how I approach the game. I'm playing better and happier applying the concepts when playing the game. Get the basics of the swing down, keep working on swing mechanics to reach an adequate level of proficiency, then put the methods in the book to work. You'll play better and enjoy it more.onlyms0

PURCHASED IT FOR GIFT – LOOKS GOOD.SHEILA B.
I tutor, and my current student is a golfer during the warm months. I found out several months ago that my student knows little or nothing about golf's greatest players. Since he has done well increasing his vocabulary and sounding out words he doesn't know, I bought this book as an incentive for him. I hope he reads it on his own; if not, we'll read it as part of his tutoring. I'm certain it will be informative, and a source of good background for his favorite sport.JANET D.

The illustrations are phenomenal. It gives a very good mental image to work from. Each law builds on the previous one. You can literally imagine hitting the golf ball with more authority and accuracy than before. Many tools are available with DVDs, videos and the internet but this work is terrific!!!guitarman7126
