Reviews:
This book is really helpful for first time parents. It has so much useful information about everything that comes to mind with a newborn – from diapers to childcare to treating injuries. I would definitely recommend to any new parents. We bought this when baby was a few weeks old but I think it would be helpful to have before baby comes.
This was very informative and I can see going back to it for advise. I'm glad I own this copy, because it is great to refer back to for information. This is just the start to my childcare book collection. With books like these, I believe that it's better to own than borrow, so you can refer back to them when you need to. This has made me a better informed paren't and I feel comforted knowing that this book is only a shelf away if I need it again.hannah.a

Reviews:
This book is so fun! It doesn't make noises or pop-up or have any buttons or bells and whistles but it still is so much fun to read to the kids and gets them to participate in book time. We love this book so much!
A wonderful book allowing the readers to have fun while teaching young children to follow directions. I purchased this book from a school book fair one year not realizing how much enjoyment my family would have reading this book. I have never seen my grand children laugh so hard as we sat around the table and enjoyed following the directions inside this book. I can still "see" the reactions the younger ones had when they turned the pages to find out what the result of following the directions given to them revealed. I recommend this book for pure fun and for teaching younger children how to follow directions without teaching them to follow directions. We love to read books and learn something new. This book provided a fun and interactive way to learn the concept of following directions every child needs to learn to follow for everyday life to ready them for their school journey. It has been loaned to others to enjoy as well. We still read this book today after five years receiving the same teary eyes laughs we had from the first reading adventure.laffs54
This book is absolutely perfect for early learners. It is great for receptive language skills and learning simple directions (as well as counting, colors, etc). It also is good for teaching cause and effect. For example, tap the dot 5 times, and then when you flip the page there is 5 times the number of dots. Really just a great interactive teaching book.Liz

Reviews:
This is a great book for first time parents as its very informative on things from sleep to vaccinations to toddler tantrums. Very helpful when it comes to development and milestones. I would highly recommend!!Hollie
I bought MANY parenting books and this was the only one I needed. I repeatedly recommend friends buy it. The Baby Book covers every topic I inquired about and provides balanced advice and decreases my worries over and over. Many books I read on sleep habits, breast feeding or introducing foods are"my way or the highway' leave me anxious and scared to do anything because it is likely the wrong choice. Dr. Sears promotes parents do what feels right and trust their judgment. The book covers many topics. Milestones, growth charts, feeding, bathing, potty training, discipline, health and fevers, when to see a doctor. A previous reviewer cautioned against sleeping with your baby in bed with you, I completely promote it. I brought my babies into bed with me (now ages 1 and 3) and it was easily the best choice we made as a family. Many books are against it, but I believe it was the one thing that kept me sane during the first weeks of constant wake up and it was a time of bounding I would never want to miss. (and yes… my babies transitioned to cribs with ease at about two months)canadaMom2
This is the baby bible! I gave it as an early baby shower gift to my fiend/first time mom!emhes-27

Reviews:
I've really been enjoying learning all about a baby's development and how they make different connections. This book is robust with research, but it doesn't feel heavy handed. It also includes a lot of photo sequences of different behavior patterns making it easy to understand what the author is talking about. I've been reading this as a new parent and find I have a much better understanding of what my baby is going through developmentally.Nerdymama

I thought I better be sure the music played before giving it to my great grandson. The music book does not work. I cannot find batteries to replace. The book is fine. It is a Christmas gift.Sue
The book has a lot of grammer errors and sentences where not properly constructed. Other than that the book is beautiful, but I don't want to be teaching my boy the wrong things. (only allow to upload 2 pics but theres more)Tee
