1. 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote To Chaos [Book]

Product Details:
#1 national bestseller #1 international bestsellerwhat does everyone in the modern world need to know? renowned psychologist jordan b. peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research.humorous, surprising and informative, dr. peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticize too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street.what does the nervous system of the lowly lobster have to tell us about standing up straight (with our shoulders back) and about success in life? why did ancient egyptians worship the capacity to pay careful attention as the highest of gods? what dreadful paths do people tread when they become resentful, arrogant and vengeful? peterson journeys broadly, discussing discipline, freedom, adventure and responsibility, distilling the world's wisdom into 12 practical and profound rules for life. 12 rules for life shatters the modern commonplaces of science, faith and human nature, while transforming and ennobling the mind and spirit of its readers.
Reviews:
I have just ordered two more copies, after only reading the intro.—and Prof. Peterson's numerous interviews simply expand my own heart. In this climate of high anxiety and appalling lack of compassion, echoed by Hugh MacKay in AUSTRALIA REIMAGINED. It is no wonder that he has an enthralled audience of millions, world- wide. My wish is that Prof. Peterson will produce a primer affirming our children and youth, to give them hope— for our learning young to master before they get to our Uni's. that have to do their own serious reflecting. In my opinion. AND to give our valiant teachers stronger morale and endurance—as so vividly depicted in Gabbie Stroud's TEACHER, also published last year. Finally, the more I devour of the Prof.'s 'Rules' the more I want to yell my rental's roof off , in agreement—our kids CAN be brought up in a far better world, if we follow Jordan's example of such raw courage and exemplary scholarship and teaching. I only wish that I could buy another 12 copies to share around !KCKLL
This is the third book I purchase as a gift. Jordan Peterson tells it as it is in how one should behave to be a functional human being in society. This is sadly supposed to be the role of parents but not many parents nurture their kids anymore by teaching them the basic life skills. I've seen so many young people can't keep their own room organised yet trying to solve the world's most complex problem. Let's keep it to basic – stand up straight, make yourself better than who you are yesterday and clean up your room before you try to solve any life's complex problem. You will be more content and happier in life and no longer feeling depressed all the time. Great for both men, women and anyone. I'm a woman who loves this book. This book has changed my life!!This book changes my life
An excellent book written with great depth and understanding about living a life. It is necessary to read at least twice to get a more complete picture of what Peterson is on about. Best of all this book made me think deeply about living a life and the ultimate ending of that life. Highly recommended but only to serious readers and certainly not for shallow thinking people.Bob

Hears from a few people that this was decent book to read so I bought it. I was surprised how easy it was to read, straight talking and the stories from his career in the Navy Seals were interesting (the parachute one made me squirm a tad) I love how he has written it so you can clearly take the advice and mental strength tips he used in seal training and use them in day to day life. A great read, entertaining but I took so much from this that I have used in my own life and occasionally struggles. Highly recommendscotty.boy1969

Reviews:
What a witness and example to everyone on how to live life to the full. If anyone had a reason to feel God was not on his side it would be Nick. This book is really inspiring and makes you think about your own perspective on life and your relationship with God. Read it and be both moved and challenged.V
Two years ago, Kenny and I led worship for an event that Nick Vujicic spoke at. Neither one of us had ever heard of him, but we were completely floored by his incredible story and attitude. Nick was born without arms or legs, and he shares his uplifting testimony in his book Life Without Limits. This guy is unbelievable! He has faced numerous physical challenges and the emotional repercussions of living his life without limbs, yet his faith in God is solid. He has believed with unwavering assurance that God has a plan for his life, and he is living it to the fullest. Throughout his book, Nick shares personal stories from his childhood and adolescent years. He describes his travels through which he has shared God’s love with millions of people all over the globe. Life Without Limits is truly an encouraging book, and Nick urges his readers to give themselves away to others in need. Nick Vujicic is, hands down, the most genuinely optimistic person that I have ever met. When given the chance to hug him, I was overwhelmed by how open and caring he is. It was not awkward in the least. He loves people and wants them to have the hope of Christ. That night, I had the chance to pray with a young, teen-aged girl that was moved by Nick’s testimony to turn her life over to Jesus. This book is a must have by everyone! The reason I bought this book is because of the author and clear cut advice that is given in a no nonsense manner. We all will face all of the days that the book outlines, and it is most important to be prepared for those days so that we can react appropriately. Preparation is the key for success and knowing the steps to take makes the bad things in life and little easier to handle. I know we all would prefer not to think of those things but there is great comfort in knowledge. Angieunclegoe

Or you could just buy it and Burn it! Oprah has become an advocate for the New Age, New Life, Buddha type of Belief for some time now! Don't misunderstand me, I absolutely Love Oprah, just not sure why Oprah has shockingly embraced this liberal train of thought. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Luke 12:48 – KJVromia31
Its a must read. If it can change some of my views in life especially when needing to engage with negative, egotistical or just angry all over people, this is a whole other way of comuticating with others. Taught me its not necessarily where they are in their temporment. It helps so much where we are at, in our most inner core. That could change so many circumstances. Out of all the books in my life this is in my top 3. I'm 65 now. I read it aprox 5yrs ago & saw the shows on Oprah. I have read it twice marking it up all over. Ive tried to gather a few other people to do a book club just to read "A New Earth" finally I just found 3 people excited to read it with me. I've even volunteered to gift the box to them. As Ive gifted many with it.Emma

Zig Ziglar is an excellent author & motivator but I am bias because he was my cousin!Ronnie
I've been seeking out motivational books for pleasure reading in my mornings. Been really lucky with several from younger aurthors but decided to take a chance on this newer release from an "old pro"! What a great decision…it was no gamble! There are a lot of real life stories about famous and average people told through Zig's observations. Just good solid life principles from someone who's walked further down the road than most and has experienced, in full what he's writing about. He shares his faith in this book pretty vividly also, but if you're a non-believer it doesn't take away from the principles and if you are you'll relate in other ways as well. This is just a really, really good book. In this book he also recommends another best seller from another aurthor..I bought it too and it turned out to be, as well…one of the best books I've ever read! Things you'll read in here will pop up and make you smile days, weeks months and no-doubt, years down the road. Great reading! Better than good!mrhaney22659

19. The Life You Were Born To Live: A Guide To Finding Your Life Purpose [Book]

Product Details:
Reviews:
This book is the best numerology personality book I've read. The author says he found this system and found it to work, but he says he doesn't know why… I agree, it is spot on, don't know how, but it is a must have if you are into numerical aspects of personality. It is a simple system of adding up digits in your birthday, and has extensive definitions on each, very thought provoking!geaninamedana
I bought this book many years ago and lent it out and never got it back. I love this book and decided I wanted to get another copy but brand new ones are very rare and very expensive. The book was described as being in good condition and it was as described. WOB was a great alternative and I would definitely buy books from this website again.Ms J. H.
This book was recommended to me by a spiritual leader in my community. She said she had gotten it years ago and had been compelled to read it in one sitting. I got it from a friend and like the message so much I bought my own copy as reference. I highly recommend this book if you are curious about numerology and want some actionable guidelines on how to improve your life and find your purpose.dvspec1
