4. Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic And Mystery Illness And How To Finally Heal (Revised And Expanded Edition) [Book]
Product Details:
Find medical medium by anthony william in hardcover and other formats in health & fitness > general.
Reviews:
Amazing resource for healing on multiple levels, body, mind and spirit. The info in this book has healed myself & my loved ones, some of who were close to death. It complimented my existing knowledge of natural health and provided a deeper understanding of the processes at play. I don't pretend to know how this information was received or how it all works, just that it works if you do it properly & stick with it keeping a healthy daily regime outside of the protocols so you're not undoing any of that effort. The last chapters on prayer & guidance were a revelation. The easiest to overlook perhaps but turned out to be the most powerful. Too often we wait until we have nothing left to lose. Only wish I had begun it sooner.uk_star_trader
This is a book I have been after for awhile, and provides alternative approaches to chronic illnesses and diseases. I do find the author is rather repetitive about the medical industry in many of his chapters, and it could easily be a shorter book. However, there are some key messages and advice in it that I believe are really useful. These could be presented in a much shorter volume.Ali H
I wish I could return this book on the basis of it being written by a scam artist. I have a background in both allied health and allopathic medicine, and both sides of me could see that the author is scamming people. The very start of the book draws you in with his account of the mystical interactions with Spirit, but soon after when I got further into the medical aspects I could see that the author knows nothing concrete about healthcare, and in fact the advice he gives is dangerous. I have seen patients follow his advice with dire consequences. Quite often the people reaching for this book are vulnerable and going through a health challenge, and I would encourage them to keep searching. This book doesn't have the answer you're looking for. If you have cancer I would suggest the book Chris Beat Cancer by Chris Wark. He references studies for his natural healing advice. If you emotionally need support in relation to health problems I would suggest You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay.DrofTCM

Reviews:
Highly recommend for students. Found it very usefulJennieb
I bought this book because my Dorland's (30th edition) needed to be supplemented. Dorland's is great….but it does not tell you if the word is a noun or an adjective. (I am not studying to be a doctor; I am studying to become a medical transcriptionist!) I specifically bought this book because I have found many words dictated by doctors that were not in Dorland's but were in this book. For example, the norm/o- combining form is not at all well documented in Dorland's. Merriam-Webster's entries for norm/o- words include: normoactive normoblast, normoblastic normocalcemia, normocalcemic normochromia normochromic normochromic anemia normocyte normocytic normocytic anemia normoglycemia, normoglycemic normokalemic normotension normotensive normothermia, normothermic normotonic normovolemia, normovolemic I saw this book in Barnes & Noble and thumbed through it. When I saw how many words that it had in it that Dorland's did not, I bought this book (full price)for my medical transcription studies. I find it to be better for the transcriptionists than Dorland's because it does give the parts of speech. Many times the transcriptionist has to decide which form of a word to use. This book makes that VERY easy! This book won't replace Dorland's or Stedman's but it definitely supplements those books very nicely. This book is also available in electronic format. I purchased that also and have not been disappointed. The electronic dictionary has the same information and includes audible pronunciations, videos, graphs, and other supportive information. Hard copy or electronic copy–you won't go wrong with this Medical Desk Dictionary.into_the_clouds
what I was expecting– a small -convenient- cost effective version of a very large-expensive book. get out your magnifying glasses as the print is small–but clear in this quality paperback reference book. handy info to have around–even if you just need it on rare occasions. this was a replacement for a worn copy– now donated to the reference room of a local senior center where it will get further use!! it is knowledge– use it!

Product Details:
“a fascinating journey into the heart and mind of a physician” that explores doctor-patient relations, the flaws in our health care system, and how doctors’ emotions impact medical care (boston globe)while much has been written about the minds and methods of the medical professionals who save our lives, precious little has been said about their emotions. physicians are assumed to be objective, rational beings, easily able to detach as they guide patients and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. but understanding doctors’ emotional responses to the life-and-death dramas of everyday practice can make all the difference on giving and getting the best medical care. digging deep into the lives of doctors, dr. danielle ofri examines the daunting range of emotions—shame, anger, empathy, frustration, hope, pride, occasionally despair, and sometimes even love—that permeate the contemporary doctor-patient connection. drawing on scientific studies, including some surprising research, dr. ofri offers up an unflinching look at the impact of emotions on health care. dr. ofri takes us into the swirling heart of patient care, telling stories of caregivers caught up and occasionally torn down by the whirlwind life of doctoring. she admits to the humiliation of an error that nearly killed one of her patients. she mourns when a beloved patient is denied a heart transplant. she tells the riveting stories of an intern traumatized when she is forced to let a newborn die in her arms, and of a doctor whose daily glass of wine to handle the frustrations of the er escalates into a destructive addiction. ofri also reveals that doctors cope through gallows humor, find hope in impossible situations, and surrender to ecstatic happiness when they triumph over illness.
