4. Artificial Intelligence For Beginners: An Easy Guide To A Modern Approach To Artificial Intelligence. Learn The Basics Of Ai And How To Put It Into Pr [Book]
Product Details:
If yes, then keep reading… the basic concept of artificial intelligence is quite easy to understand because it's in the name. artificial intelligence is intelligence that has been created by hand and not… artificial intelligence is intelligence that is not like real intelligence? artificial intelligence is a machine attempting to emulate biological intelligence? actually, the concept of artificial intelligence is quite difficult to nail down to a specific definition. this has been the standard definition for about a century. the reason why it is difficult to conceptualize a specific definition of artificial intelligence is that of how blurred the line is between biological intelligence and mechanical intelligence. – this book aims to provide examples of the ways that the development and adaptation of artificial intelligence will open up new opportunities and challenges to both the business world and society as a whole. for this reason, you won't find a lot of detailed explanations of the technical aspects of ai here. however, at the end of this book, you can research other resources that you can consult if you'd like to dive deeper into the technical world of artificial intelligence. because of these two skills, ai systems can now accomplish many of the tasks that were once reserved for humans. – ai-based technologies are already being used to help humans benefit from significant improvements and increased efficiency in nearly every area of life. – another benefit of ai is that it allows machines and robots to perform tasks that humans consider to be difficult, boring, or dangerous. in turn, this will enable humankind to do things that were once thought impossible. – one drawback to ai technologies is that machines will also be able to perform many tasks that currently require a human touch, which will significantly disrupt the labor market. ai also has the potential to cause political power struggles. – this book gives a comprehensive guide on the following: what is artificial intelligence? the history of aiessentials of data – artificial intelligent systemschatbotsroboticsspeech recognition – ai faqs – ai myths – future prospects… and more!!! ai can be applied to just about every situation and offers the possibility of transforming our experiences, making things better and more effective. – what are you waiting for? click buy now!!!!!

Reviews:
Great book for engineers in the computer world as well as people interested in the way the brain functions. I bought it to learn more about how to create more useful and 'intelligent' programs that would mimic the way a human thinks. I've come up with some interesting ideas, and hopefully they will be easily implemented. The middle section on how the brain actually performs learning, and recognition is very difficult to follow. Even with the written warning in the 1st section, it was tough. I highly recommend reading that section with a friend and digesting the neo-cortex together.gentoo-oe

Reviews:
In Intelligence Based Medicine, Dr. Chang manages to interweave the dual threads of healthcare and artificial intelligence with such a deft touch that he makes their eventual union seem inevitable. The book handles the dense subject matter with a clarity that makes it accessible to newcomers to the field without resorting to oversimplification. He makes a compelling case for why AI can cure what ails our current healthcare system with specialty specific attention. In a book about artificial intelligence, it is Chang's refreshingly human-centric approach that shines through.
I love this book! Intelligence-Based Medicine is a MUST READ for anyone who is interested in the future of healthcare. Dr. Anthony Chang introduces the various dimension of AI and data driven analytical approaches in medicine, but then expands into important topics that are often not covered elsewhere. The books makes the case that Artificial intelligence is not just something to consider applying in some aspects of medicine, instead it will fundamentally change everything about medicine, and gives excellent supporting use cases to support that point. Dr. Chang brilliantly describes, the exponential power of machine learning is already empowering care givers with unprecedented precision in the ability to diagnose and treat disease, but beyond the many excellent examples of technical achievements, the application of AI has created a paradigm shift in how we think about biomedical knowledge and clinical evidence, with far reaching impact in the whole culture of medicine. I found the book to be clear enough for those without a technical background to understand, yet sophisticated enough to inspire even the most experienced experts in AI and medicine. I would highly recommend this book to all healthcare providers who are interested in learning how to understand and leverage the inevitable shift from evidence based medicine to intelligence based medicine. I sincerely hope that the next generation of physicians and executives at healthcare organizations learn about this important paradigm shift – the future of medicine depends on it.Spyro P.
17. Artificial Intelligence: A Philosophical Introduction [Book]
Product Details:
Presupposing no familiarity with the technical concepts of either philosophy or computing, this clear introduction reviews the progress made in ai since the inception of the field in 1956. copeland goes on to analyze what those working in ai must achieve before they can claim to have built a thinking machine and appraises their prospects of succeeding. there are clear introductions to connectionism and to the language of thought hypothesis which weave together material from philosophy, artificial intelligence and neuroscience. john searle's attacks on ai and cognitive science are countered and close attention is given to foundational issues, including the nature of computation, turing machines, the church-turing thesis and the difference between classical symbol processing and parallel distributed processing. the book also explores the possibility of machines having free will and consciousness and concludes with a discussion of in what sense the human brain may be a computer.

Reviews:
This is a fascinating and lively book, which is almost incredible give that it is an introductory philosophy textbook. Copeland manages to write with both personality and balance. The combination of his style (which is clear and witty without being facetious)and the intrinsic interest of the subject of artificial intelligence had me hooked. I read it like a novel, never wanting to put it down. Copeland assumes no prior knowledge of computer science, psychology, or philosophy, so the book should be accesible to any intelligent reader, although a few parts can be hard going. Beginners are likely to struggle with the sections on the CYC project (in chapter 5) and the Church-Turing thesis (in chapter 10), but slow and careful reading should do the trick. Copeland does explain eveything you need to know in order to understand what he's saying, but some of his explanations are gentler than others.Varisa Aschakulporn
