I read all the reviews and I would like to give it a try. But when I received the products, it looks very dusty and opened packages inside. I was so disappointed. I called Sam club customer service and I have been told to return it. I did return it and reordered another one. Received the item sealed in a box. Kind of heavy. It's nice that the filter system is already pre assembled. It also look nice with clear canisters. Just connect the tank and then to the cold water line. The instructions are clear / straightforward and the included tubes are in different colors as presented in the instructions. Even though the filters are pre connected give each tube a good push to make sure they are properly seated. Also, check that the canisters holding the filters are closed tight (one of the tube in mine was not seated properly and the tube holding the RO filter is not tight enough so I got a big leak on the tube connection and a small leak from the filter tube). After correcting the leaks, no other problem is encountered. With parts already provided, I don't have any problem connecting it to the cold water line. After flushing the system (around six hours later) I have clear great tasting water. I hove this short review can help.Radu G.

It's an absolutely the best & quality RO system to purify the water. To begin with the product was packed very well and included all the accessories needed for installation. The instructions are pretty clear and after installing everything, there wasn't a single leak or drip of water. Within 20 minutes of turning the water supply on, I had nice, pure, crystal clear water that tastes great. This particular model comes with an extra stage filter that adjusts the pH by adding a small amount of calcium hardness back into the water. Pure RO water without this is on the acidic side (pH would be 6.0-6.5 range) and doesn't taste that great. I tested the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of our well water and it was around 450 ppm. After installing this RO system and purging it well, the filtered water TDS tested about 32 ppm. Pretty good reduction! Overall, I can't say enough about the system. I have tried everything from well known cheapish brands you get from the store, and tried other systems that cost twice as much as this one. Literally, twice as much. And none of them are as good as this. It's wonderful! I love how it looks, how it works, and the chlorine is actually removed. It doesn't leak, or torture me with filters that are hard to remove and replace. Plus its great for water system failures, it stores a decent emergency amount. I have always wanted a water filtration system and started a while ago with the Santevia water pitcher, as i heard of the importance of Alkaline water. My Son also started drinking from the water pitcher and between the two of us we kept having to refill the pitcher constantly. Happily i found out that Santevia also had a countertop water system and I was very excited to purchase, but before I invested I wanted to know more about the origins of the company and the filtration system. I was floored when I found out it was created because of an individuals fight with acid reflux that mirrored my own. I was so sick with acid reflux even with watching my diet and I was put on a medication I was only supposed to take for no more than 5 years, because of possible bone deterioration. I'm 54 with bone density concerns ready, so I did not want to continue taking this medication though my doctor said it would be ok for as long as I needed it..In my case that could have meant my lifetime..This was word for word the reason Santevia was created. I can honestly vouch for how much better I feel since starting with the pitcher a few months ago and continuing on with the countertop system. I was not able to go a day without taking my medication, as I would start having terrible reflux that would turn into throwing up. Now I may take only 1 pill in a week and I can see me not having to ever take any medication if I make certain my diet also does not include too many acidic foods. Totally worth the investment! Best smooth tasting water ever like drinking from a fresh spring. It adds minerals and vitamins to your water as well as filter the fluoride which is rarely found for the price . The filters last 6 months, and it was easy to assemble and prep before use . The best feature is that this baby fills up fast! Apparently if it slows down your to take the top ceramic filter and scrub it with your pad also included in the kit. Best Water I have ever drank, tasty and healthy. After doing some research, I never knew how unhealthy bottled water and filters like the Zero are. They do strip the bad heavy metals but they also strip all the good base elements that our bodies require. I've had this beautiful glass pitcher for a couple of weeks. It really is nice looking on the counter, unlike basic plastic pitchers. The bamboo lid adds a touch of elegance. I would recommend this product simply for the customer service that is provided bu iSpring. I have had this installed for just over a month now, and I think that I'm finally OK with it now. I'm still not sure that the water is supposed to be as aerated as it is coming out of the tap, but I have tried everything to get rid of the air in the system and nothing has worked. I have bled the system more than 10 times, 3 of which were with the system tilted as described in the manual, yet still the water comes out looking cloudy due to the amount of air in it. That being said, it is just air. After a few minutes the air separates out and you are left with very clean drinking water. The installation was a little time consuming, and the instructions are little to no help with that. There are a ton of videos on YouTube that are much better. The biggest issue that I have with the system is the drainage line. I do not see why the whole system is so well designed and yet there is not a part included to replace the drain cylinder coming from the sink. Having to drill a whole in the steel and using a thin piece of foam to seal it, seems a little Mickey Mouse to me. I honest regret doing it and wish that I had just fabricated up a section of pipe and using a threaded adapter to connect one of the iSpring push connectors to. In summation… I am happy with the product. There are some design flaws, nothing detrimental. Cloudy water that becomes clear, is better than drinking the full periodic table that comes out of out taps.Daniel

I ordered this water system through Home Depot Canada online. It was shipped directly from the iSpring facility in Georgia USA within 2 days of the order being placed. Arrived at my home amazingly fast. I bought this system to replace a 20 plus year old system that had started giving trouble. Since I have never liked the taste and scale of municipal water I wanted to continue to have an in home water treatment system. This one is very similar to the one it is replacing. We really like the tap that came with it. The push to connect water tube fitting made installation quick and easy. We also have water from this system plumbed to the refrigerator (water tastes great) and the humidifier on our furnace to avoid mineral deposits on the drum and inside the furnace. I installed the system in the basement laundry room hanging from the floor joists. I am totally satisfied.Flatlander57

I bought this almost 2 years ago and I supervised my 13 year old install it. Still works great, never had any issues or leaks. Filters are easy to replace. Our well water suffers from road salt, this Ispring RO system makes our water taste great. I would recommend this water jug to anyone and everyone! Since I cannot tolerate the taste of the chemical treated tap water…I was searching for a filter jug. I have tried Brita and Zero but got a bitter aftertaste. Researching online I read that the reason that the water from these filtration systems tasted bitter was because the chemicals that we are used to are removed. I have been using the Classic pitcher for at least 8 years now and I have been very happy with it except the timer. I am on my 2nd pitcher and on both the timers never worked. But having said that, I absolutely love the taste of the water. I just keep track and change out the filter every 2 months. When the last filter I purchased made the water taste 'chemical-ly' at room temperature I contacted the company and they promptly sent out a new filter for me. Great customer service! I have one for home and one for work. Everyone at work has been asking me about it because the water tastes better than the bottled water we have in the staff room Fridge OR Brita filters! I have used a Santevia classic for years and really loved it. When it came time to get a new pitcher, I decided to go with the new MINA model expecting the same quality. Unfortunately, the filter does not fit properly into the pitcher, so the water is only partially moving through the filter. The problem is that, unlike the classic filters, the MINA filters have no seal around the top, so water easily sneaks passed the filter. I'm not sure why the design changed for this model. I really loved the classic, so I'm disappointed with this model and the money wasted.matt

I loved and reccomended mina pitchers and filters to everyone i knew..most of my family began using them. And they arent cheap! After a decade of using santevia water filters.. Suddenly, Nearly a year ago..we started noticing..the pitcher always has bits of the black filter pieces…chunks…flosting in the pitcher/water. And being poured out…so we are drinking it. Chronic sore throats have been an issue, one wonders if it is related. Ive tried everything. And wasted so much money and SO MANY filters asumimg it was a defective filter….and trying replacing it…(way way too soon)! As has my son and his roomate in college, and my friend and her family of 6….. and we all have had the same result. It just keeps happening. These filters are defective and have been for a very long time. Its so dad…such a good conpany…has gone so downhill. If there was a mesh screen maybe it would somehow be salvageable..but no. Its unuseable. Ive hung in for a year….as have my friends and family..but we are done now. The issue is worse than ever. We will find anothet alkaline water filter company to use.K P.

This filter is fantastic and the water tastes to fresh and clean. 5 stars there. But the lid is terrible. You cannot pour a glass of water when there is water in the top reservoir, it just pours out the top fill hole. Poor lid designs drops my rating. I was very surprised by this limitation. I’ve had other water filter jugs in the last (ie Brita) and you can pour a glass of water regardless how full the top reservoir is. 5 stars for the water, dropped to 3 due to poor lid design.Celeste A.

I had to get a water cooler good for my 3 year old; meaning, I needed a Tomlinson's spout so that I could replace the cold water spout with a cold child lock (like the hot water). So, it was a simple swap for the spout and the water cooler is perfect. Turns on when it needs to, and when it does it's not for long and it's not loud, so you're not constantly hearing that motor running 24/7. The cold could be a tad bit colder, but it's still nice and cool for summer weather. Pros: Tomlinson spouts (easily replaceable for a child lock on the cold spout, sold separately). Quiet Energy saving (turns on when it has to, turns off to save energy) Hot water is hot Cold water is nice and cool Sturdy (works perfect on my upstairs carpet) Cons It is not as modern as the newer dispensers/coolers (but on the modern coolers there was no way to child lock the cold water spout).Sean

Generally good, with some flaws and lack of support. I bought this filter to replace an Opti alkaline filter which I had continued issues with. Generally this has been better from a performance standpoint, though the taste is not quite so good. I have been using this unit with the two-stage filters (PH001 and PH002). The first set up worked well – the taste is nice and I like the high capacity. Size wise it's a little challenge to fit in my fridge given the maximum shelf spacing I can achieve – it's a tiny bit too tall so it's a pretty tight fit and that makes it a pain to refill and when I want to remove to clean it. The Opti was shorter and a little wider. When I first attached the PH002 second stage filter, there was an unpleasant taste – it needs a lot more cleaning and flushing than the instructions suggest, so I recommend following the set up instructions twice to ensure you get a good taste. My issues started when I replaced the filters for the first time. I followed the set up and filter priming steps – filling and discarded the filtered water 6 times to ensure no trace of unpleasant taste. For the forst few weeks it worked fine, then the water starting filtering extremely slowly – just a drop every few second. So I would fill the reservoir at night and after 24 hours only had about an inch of water through the filter. I removed the filters, gave them a good shake, ran under the tap, shook again (as in the initial set up instructions). Some black water emerged, so I repeated a few times and replaced in the unit. Again it was good for about a week or so, but then the same problem. This has happened a further 3 times, so at this point, I'm having to reprime the filters every week, which is a pain as you have to empty the whole thing and it's a hassle. I contacted Customer Support (actually replying to one of their emails saying "how are you getting on with your unit, get in touch if you need help", but they have not responded, so I don't know what to do and whether this is an issue with the replacement filters I bought. Another issue is that the PH002 second stage filter is EXTREMELY difficult to attach if you use the silicone ring. If you omit the ring it's easy to attach but doesn't create a tight seal and water leaks around the sides of the filter. But with the silicone ring, you have to push the two filters together very hard to be able to screw the smaller one in place, and it's a real struggle. I'm male, 6'4'', 200lbs, pretty strong and this is very hard – I don't know how others would be able to do this if they have any dexterity issues. So my initial positive experience with this is waning somewhat since I cannot get Customer Support on the slow filtering issues – I wonder if others have experienced something similar.Brendan W

We recently moved out of our home in which I had installed a smaller, 4 or 5 stage RO system. I didn't realize how spoiled we were until we moved into an apartment in a suburb of a large city. Lots and lots of municipal contaminants….YUCK! The water was absolutely disgusting. We were buying 3-4 gallons of water a day from Aldi, Wallyworld, etc. Even at $0.75/gal, it was starting to add up quickly. The previous RO system that I used was out of stock at Bulk Reef Supply which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because then I found NuAqua. I'm so very grateful for this system. I'm very happy to have paid the extra for the Alkaline stage which, in my limited understanding, means we have to re-mineralize much less often. What a difference in taste. Even rinsing my mouth out in the bathroom with the standard city water after brushing my teeth – I can taste how disgusting the city water really is, especially after getting spoiled again by good RO water. I installed our first system (5 Stage) RO for our fridge and ice maker when we lived in North Texas on well water. I installed it myself and added a separate booster pump to help. My wife and I were really pleased especially when the particle tester showed we went from 600 down to less than 100. We just purchased our second RO (7 Stage) nw/pump for our new house in West Texas, known to have hard/bad water. Again, ran it to the fridge and ice maker, turning our 726 particle water down to 26! Installation was pretty easy. Fair amount of effort since it did not go under a sink. After mounting the filter and setting the tank I found it easier to use the schematic for the connections. I was concerned about the volume of waste water so I put a T on the drain line with a valve to drain water to a bucket. Also, I had existing filters and piping installed for the house and for the faucet/fridge. I left them in place. Took longer to run the drain line and do the framing than actually installing the filter. Start up and flushing went well. Not nearly as much waste that I thought. Probably close to a 5 gallon bucket after everything. Took a while to chase the air out of the system. Seemed like it did continue to drain without stopping like in some reviews. Eventually I adjusted the top filter to just make it straight and the same with the shut off valve. Sounded like air bled through and a little later it did shut down. Ran through a few more cycles and it worked fine. So far, seems pretty good. No leaks We did not really like the chrome faucet. Already had a nickel one installed, so we left it.Vinnie

The APEC RO-CTOP-PHC countertop RO system is perfect for apartments or situations where you can't install a RO under sink system. The installation took just 5 mins, had to attach the connector to the faucet and run the water for 15 mins to flush out the membrane. Very positive experience with installation and water quality compared to my previous faucet filter from a major brand. The water tastes good. I recommend the model with the cover as it hides the filters behind the casing. Also if you prefer the mineral water taste go with the pH+ model.Sean

We purchased the apex ro countertop model with added mineralizer and it produces great tasting water. We had been buying nestle pure life until recently when they changed their label and quality seemed deteriorate. This ro system tastes better than nestle used to, closer to Fiji water and f you are familiar with the brand. We have the filter hooked up to a utility sink and fill up a fancy 3 gallon dispenser in about 40 minutes to keep on the kitchen counter. This is an EXCELLENT product! While more expensive systems may hold the water in tanks, this works well for me an apartment. I attached the unit easily to my kitchen faucet by purchasing a simple aerator wrench at Home Depot. Then, in 5 minutes it was up and running! It took some time (about a week from first use) for the cloudiness from the minerals to lower, but this did not affect the quality or taste of the water.
