Reviews:
I love this book. It is very practical and challenging and ensures that you take a big picture look at your life and money. It helps you get perpective on the important things in your life. I have bought additional copies and have given them away as gifts to others. I also purchased and have listened to the audio presentation of this material. We are going through it now in my Saturday book review club.cwar6487
The book gives the reader an alternate view of money. There are tools to help gain control of finances. It helps the reader value dollars in terms of time, of which we only have so much. Also, it warns of the evils of debt. Trading all of your life's energy for things will not produce prolonged happiness. Our society has become obsessed with money and things. The book teaches how to live comfortably on reduced income. These days that is valueable.infin1ty

A common sense reality check about what does and doesn't work with personal money management. No big words, easy to understand, simply teaches how to handle money wisely. It's like a money diet plan. Go to work, set and follow these proper priorities, you will succeed. My favorite suggestion, keep your credit card in a block of ice in the freezer. Of course, if you insist on being a couch potato, this book can't help you. Our country would be better if this was required reading, like make it a ninth grade text book. If you only learn one thing, and you will, it will more than pay for the book.mr.gizmo!
Great book. Clear, concise and relevant. Haven't read a self-help personal finance book as valuable as this.antique-maps
A friend of mine recommended my husband and I to read this book. It gave very simple instructions on money matters. We are at a time in our lives where retirement is not that far away, and even though we have retirement plans, it may not be enough to live in in 20 years. This gives us great insight to paying off bills and getting more into my retirement plan and still have some left over!rindishop

Bought it based on recommendations. I've read up to the 3rd chapter and stopped due to all the manifesting it speaks about. Yes I believe in it but wasn't expecting for there to be 2 chapters discussing it so now it's just chillin on my work desk until I decide to pick it up again.JAZMIN

Reviews:
Very easy read. Very relatable. Very insightful. Was not to sure I would like the book. Why? Because I felt Rachel Cruz was not genuine. But in the book she touched on how she tends to care how people view her and then I said “Well alright a breath of honesty”. Allowed me to respect her for calling herself out and knowing she needs to watch her own motivations on why she does things. With that I ended up loving the book and finding it extremely helpful. Thank you Rachel for being honest to who you are and humbling yourself to let the world know that you know your flaws and you work on them too!Doreen N.
An unbelieveably accurate view of money from an accurate unique point of view. My dad was an immigrant I was the middle child of 4 boys and an older sister. My dad was a college language professor. we ate well and farmed vacant lots in neighborhood. I was in high school the talent show night.A guy in my class had a little brother just like me in the class below us. The night of the show they both had new suits.!! I was so shocked WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR OLD SUIT??? My older brother got a new suit, I got his, then my younger brother got mine, and the youngest brother got his.!! I thought the whole world wore hand me downs??!! I never got over that punch in the gut of life, We were poor.!!I thought we were normal.!! I flew cargo jets in the USAF one day after flying wounded solders on their way stateside I met one of the nurses at the club for drinks and dinner. She had gone to Ole Miss. and joined a Sorority we talked after many drinks. She brought several girls to her home one weekend. The girls were sitting on the porch after dinner when one of the girls said "I can't believe your folks live in abject poverty and sent you to college. She broke down in tears when telling this story after treating fifty terribly wounded and many drinks. It was a real eye opener into other peoples view of life and money. She had thought she was soo normal until then. I don't know where I fall on most of your scales. I was so immature and naive. I know dad hated Salesman.! I think he felt he was always being taken advantage of when we had to buy something. He bought a '48 mercury when he got out of the AF in '49. we still had that car when I graduated from UK. And was glad when it was my turn to drive it. I'll read it again I bought it for my oldest daughter working for Brain Balance really CURING Autism. She consults for the on in Franklin, too. Works 7 days a week counseling when not at a Brain Balance. Amazing work.!! Big Pharma fights them every day.!!Edward H.
Know Yourself Know Your Money was very illuminating. I am ashamed to say it, but I am a 64 year old woman who has never harnessed her finances. After reading Rachel's book I was able to recognize where some of my money dysfunction originated. Finances were a mystery to me, stuff came with employment when you got a paycheck, you could buy what you wanted. Until I started asking myself the difficult questions I was okay with my financial ignorance. Budgeting is still difficult, but I am attempting. I have paid off all debt except for my house. I have established the original $1000 emergency fund and I headed toward three months. I still have some money decision anxiety but when I read Rachel's book I was able to identify multiple issues that I need to address. But my anxiety is diminishing with every step I take. The one thing I have always had is the heart to give. I am thankful that Rachel's approach was tender enough to keep me interested in doing the work. Rachel made the process of handling money approachable.Gail N.
12. Financial Freedom: A Proven Path To All The Money You Will Ever Need [Book]
Product Details:
The international bestseller"this book blew my mind. more importantly, it made financial independence seem achievable. i read financial freedom three times, cover-to-cover." —lifehacker – money is unlimited. time is not. become financially independent as fast as possible. – in 2010, 24-year old grant sabatier woke up to find he had $2.26 in his bank account. five years later, he had a net worth of over $1.25 million, and cnbc began calling him "the millennial millionaire." by age 30, he had reached financial independence. along the way he uncovered that most of the accepted wisdom about money, work, and retirement is either incorrect, incomplete, or so old-school it's obsolete. – financial freedom is a step-by-step path to make more money in less time, so you have more time for the things you love. it challenges the accepted narrative of spending decades working a traditional 9 to 5 job, pinching pennies, and finally earning the right to retirement at age 65, and instead offers readers an alternative: forget everything you've ever learned about money so that you can actually live the life you want. – but most importantly, sabatier highlights that, while one's ability to make money is limitless, one's time is not. there's also a limit to how much you can save, but not to how much money you can make. no one should spend precious years working at a job they dislike or worrying about how to make ends meet. perhaps the biggest surprise: you need less money to "retire" at age 30 than you do at age 65. financial freedom is not merely a laundry list of advice to follow to get rich quick–it's a practical roadmap to living life on one's own terms, as soon as possible.

Reviews:
This book teaches about what money actually is – not the coins and paper bills that you think. This book, quite literally, changed the quality of my life for the better, and the change has stayed with me over many years. Readers who follow the seven steps outlined in this book, even a few of them, will find themselves spending less money and enjoying life more. It teaches a new conscious awareness of the life energy that is represented by the money that flows through our fingers, and it helps understand where we send that flow, and what we put our focus on. If you've ever complained about not having enough money, or spending too much time working to get money, we highly recommend this book.sourceredesign
Great book to get you seriously thinking about your life, happiness, money, and how these integrate and influence each other. Some very thought provoking passages and practical exercises. I suggest reading right through once and going back to the exercises which will take some time to do, however just reading it makes some powerful impressions.VA
Got it right when I wasn't watching for it. So far, still reading, but the content is definitely worth the while and wait. Thank goodness.jests0

Reviews:
Dave Ramsey has chanced my life for the better. I've spent countless years getting in trouble because I didn't know enough about money. I was lazy in the sense that I didn't care, because I was happy with the life I was living. Until I learned how much damage I was actually doing in my life and my finances. My behavior was completely out of control and with the help from books like this one I've been able to do a 100% 360 degree turn in the right direction. I'm living proof that his plan works, because I no longer use a credit card. I pay cash for 95 percent of my purchases and use the envelope system. His books have changed my marriage and a bigger way and money is just another normal topic in my house. No more fights!!!! Thanks Dave Ramsey – I can now see my life being much more free from debt, than I did before I read any of your books. I'm 26 years old. Anyone can be changed, if they want to make that change. I've turn my mess into a message to help people do the same. You can too! Believe in yourself and you can move mountains.
Initially I thought about giving this book only three stars because I felt that most of the information was explained in TMMO and or FPU and you could probably save a few bucks if you planned on using the other two resources. While the majority of the information is available in the other two products, this book still does have it's uses. I would recommend this book to anyone who is beginning their financial journey, I would recommend it to someone finishing HS or college who wants to understand some common financial situations and terminology, and I would recommend it to anyone who has already read the TMMO, atttended FPU or read FPR to use it as a quick reference. Here are the chapters: "The Basics," "Debt, Credit & Bankruptcy," "Relationships & Money," "Budgeting," "Saving & Investing," "20-Somethings, College & Student Loans," "Stewardship," "Insurance," "Retirement & Estate Planning," "Automobiles," "Real Estate & Mortgages." Each section within each chapter i about 3/4 a page or at max two pages in length. Each explanation is brief but clearly explains each topic. Some topics might require you to look to other materials for more examples or greater explanation. The book also comes with miniature versions of some charts from TMMO and at the end there is a brief resource section including the names of all the credit agencies and some web addresses. The book is rather short and I flew through it over the course of two nights. You could finish it in under two hours if you wanted too. Again, this book could be valuable to you based on how you want to use it. While TMMO, FPU, and FPR are about a total system, this book is very "to-the-point." Sometimes if I don't want to re-read TMMO, I just reach for this book. I recommend it. I give it four stars only because it's not that different from some of the other products offered by Dave Ramsey.
This is a fantastic addition to The Total Money Makeover book. Index gives quick reference to subjects. Small in size, quick answer paperback book.. I highly recommend.Rodney B.
