Reviews:
Love this book! If you are an IT professional and have anything to do with Linux this book is a must read! Don't let the small size of this book fool you it's full of very useful BASH information. In fact, all of the "In Easy Steps" books are relatively small but they are REALLY useful as reference items. The prices are also very reasonable with most being under $20 a piece. The subjects vary from basic windows admin to programming C++ and so-on. Pick one of these up on a subject you are interested in you won't be disappointed!Peter G

Reviews:
This book is filled with tons of information. Within the first few pages I was learning all kinds of new stuff. However, I will admit, it's written in a way that's somewhat difficult to understand. The author will talk about a function or something, but wont often give a decent example of what exactly it does. I guess for someone with a higher understanding of bash, this would be fine, but I require a bit more input.obct537_mcpo
10. Web Design With Html, Css, Javascript And Jquery Set [Book]

Product Details:
A two-book set for web designers and front-end developers this two-book set combines the titles html & css: designing and building web sites and javascript & jquery: interactive front-end development. together these two books form an ideal platform for anyone who wants to master html and css before stepping up to javascript and jquery. html & css covers structure, text, links, images, tables, forms, useful options, adding style with css, fonts, colors, thinking in boxes, styling lists and tables, layouts, grids, and even seo, google analytics, ftp, and html5. javascript & jquery offers an excellent combined introduction to these two technologies using a clear and simple visual approach using diagrams, infographics, and photographs. a handy two-book set that uniquely combines related technologies highly visual format and accessible language makes these books highly effective learning tools perfect for beginning web designers and front-end developers
Reviews:
These arrived brand new looking and in perfect condition. The HTML & CSS book is one of the most easy to follow books on the subject matter I have encountered. I've read it twice and the concepts are sticking very well. However, it is out of date; a number of changes in both the recommended approaches to designing sites, and the code itself have occurred since published. These are things I am aware of and I am not a programmer. However, I still recommend this book as a great intro to the concepts. It is easy enough to supplement with visits to a site like w3 schools or Stack Overflow, to learn latest best practices and newer HTML5 tags. I am not finished with the Javascript & JQuery book, but it seems to be attempting to humanize a much more complicated subject matter. However, I am not sure yet if the Javascript & JQuery book is succeeding, but relative to HTML + CSS, Javascript seems like a very complex language, syntax-wise, to me, so it might take a second or third read to feel fluent in at least beginner JS.indigorow
Probably not for you if you're seasoned developer, but for me this was the best set of books I've seen on the subject. Javascript books I've seen before tend to omit the very basic founding concepts jumping straight to practical applications. While it's good to get to apply knowledge straight away, it is sometimes not clear why the things have to be the way they are. This book, in my opinion, makes it crystal clear. Both books seem to me a bit over-illustrated, but that's not really a problem and may actually help those who think more visually. I find it hard to suggest a better place to start one's front-end web development career, especially from a design background.jetcat
I'm learning software / website development and while the book may be old or out of date – it still helps with tangible comprehension than reading off a screen. Have preordered his PHP book tooCMK

Reviews:
There are many yummy looking recipes in the book. My reservations are twofold, firstly most recipes seem to have long ingredient lists, and secondly there is no time indication for preparation and cook time at top or bottom of recipe. To me, that is essential as it gives a guide as to how long its going to take to make something. Also none of the recipes have nutritional information and this can important for some. Overall it is a well presented book with high quality photos and some interesting and yummy looking recipes.mere611
Some lovely exiting dishes and recipes. For me I would use for mainly side dishes along with a main meal such as roast beef. Many of the recipes can substitute the ingredients for animal based products, but it's very helpful for new ideas especially if your cooking needs pepping up.adfix_ironmongery
Ive tried a few of the recipes and theyve turned out great! Lots of nice pictures, easily available ingredients and clear instructions. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to adventure into a plant-based/vegan lifestyle.vegaspinkbunny359
